Saturday morning, really raining hard. I was taking a shower and the toilet started gurgling. Oh no ! main lines clogged! I called my plumber and found he retired and Prodigy was now taking over his clients . I was told that they could come out today, I decided to try them out. Jerry Navarro came out even during a major downpour and cleared out the drain even making sure it was totally clear! Thank you! We had a main line drain stoppage on a weekend. I called Prodigy in the evening on Sunday. They had Luis out there by 9 am Monday morning. I had another company out earlier on Sunday that could not clear the stoppage. Luis came out cleared the stoppage and let us know that we had a problem with roots in our sewer main. We did not have a clean out since our house was built in the 50's. He showed me the video of the roots and the exact location and suggested that we install a clean out and install a liner in our sewer line. We agreed on a price and they started the work. During the process we had Luis, Primo, Rafa and Jared working on the line. I have 42 years in the construction industry and really appreciate how professional and safe these guys were. It was very hot while they were doing the work and I noticed that they followed the Cal Osha guidelines with shade and plenty of water for their crew. Had a problem with our mainline not draining properly that was effecting EVERYTHING in our house (washer, dishwasher, toilets, showers and sink drains). We had snaked it with a rental from the local hardware store but still had this problem. The house was starting to smell like a porta-potty . Called a few companies and they were charging what seemed like a car down-payment to snake and video the problem. Found Prodigy and they were a lot easier on the wallet hit. Silvia has an amazing phone presence, Jordan was on top of his technician and Shane was out to our house fixing my headache within an hour or so. Our toilet and shower flooded so we needed a plumber. One plumber I called gave me a ridiculously high quote and when I hesitated, he rudely said "Do you want it done or not?!" I said no thank you and called Prodigy Plumbing instead. They were even closer by and had great Yelp reviews. Why would I pay money for rudeness? I'm really happy I called Prodigy. Jerry arrived quickly and identified the problem right away. He cleared the main line and recommended hydro jetting done to blast all the tree roots away. Jose came early next morning and got that done. It wasn't cheap but the line was thoroughly clean. They showed me real-time camera footage before and after cleaning. They also recommended we get trenchless pipe repair done to permanently fix the root problem, but it was out of our budget. We'll have to find alternative solutions for the time being. Overall, the service was professional and friendly and I would highly recommend these guys. read more

Every plumber can fix a leaky faucet but not everyone can provide you with honest work and first rate customer service (kudos to 'Ozzy'!). I did not have an emergency situation. It took a few days to get an appointment but was fine by me. I didn't receive a "heads up" call the day before as I was expecting. That's about the only bad thing I can say. Everything going forward was exceptional. Alex came out and was quick to diagnose the problem (drain cleaning). We talked about what needed to be done and if there were alternatives. He walked me through the pricing to make sure I understood. After we decided on a path forward (hydro jetting), while waiting for additional resources, Alex even took it upon himself to clean up some leaves laying around my yard. He called back within 20 minutes after getting dispatch to send out Jerry the same day. Literally from call to Phil and Jerry arriving at my home was inside an hour. Very fast and friendly response. Turns out they did not find the gas leak after all. The part they replaced was not the issue and the gas kept leaking. I had to hire another company beacuse I had no faith they would find it. The company that I hired, second company listed here on Yelp, had devices that could detect gas in the air. Used it to locate the issue and got it repaired. Wasted a lot of money on these guys. Also the bathroom sink I hired them to unclog had issues weeks after they did the work. Nice people just didn't do good work. read more

We were looking for a long-term solution for our aging sewer pipe that had multiple intrusions from tree roots. We asked several companies for quotes to have about 50 feet lined with special plastic and Prodigy Plumbing from Long Beach stood out. Their offer was the second cheapest but upon closer inspection, it turned out that the cheapest offer used far inferior inline material (with about half the thickness). The inspection by Prodigy was very thorough and there was never pressure to close the deal. Upon ordering, two people dug up the entry location and secured it. Two days later, Raphael, Jose and Antonio did the liner in about 4 hours. They kept us informed about all the steps they took, and left our yard in impeccable condition. They also showed us the finished liner with the camera. Prodigy's work was diligent and professional. I can highly recommend the company. read more

I had another plumber come two days and claimed the backed up kitchen sink was opened up with the wrong snake he used but it didn't and when I texted him for help, he said he was booked this morning and he would have to charge me $450 to use water flush to open up the pathway, but that was not true. I texted Mark at Prodigy at 5am this morning and he responded right away and sent over Jerry Navarro, his supervisor, at 8:30am, first thing in the morning. Jerry used the right snake that is called Kitchen snake and it's 75ft and not the one the other plumber used which was the top snake and 50ft only. The main blockage was at 5ft down and 15ft down and it kept popping it open until he went all the way through to completely opened it up. Jerry also checked with camera afterwards at no extra charge to make sure it's all clear. The other plumber didn't run camera and said I needed to pay $450 to jet clean it first in order to run the camera. He lied again. Because Jerry opened it up easily with the kitchen snake and checked out the path with camera afterwards. I think the previous plumber is tricking customers first with running a wrong snake just to get you in and then come back for the big charge when the back up sink comes back in a day or so. Prodigy is an honest company. I highly recommend them. Ask for Jerry. He is their senior technician and knows his stuff well and is very pleasant and courteous too. read more

It was time to replace my water heater and Jerry Rodriguez came out and was extremely thorough explaining all my options and I purchased not only the water heater I added a recirculating pump and a filtration system. We started the project the same afternoon and finished the next day. Alexis Gomez is an awesome plumber. He fixed everything that needed fixing (leaking faucets) and he replaced our garbage disposal. He was clean and he made sure I was happy with his work before he left. He also listened to my story about taking care of my 91 1/2 year old mother who has stage 4 cancer.
