I've been have a problem where my shower only dispenses hot water (no cold water) and a noisy toilet. Prodigy sent their technician, Pedro, to assess this. I had 3 previous contractors come out and assess. Prodigy was the only contractor that actually did a thorough assessment of the problem, giving real options for me to do. The other contractors took all of 5-10 minutes to tell me to replace the entire toilet and to break a wall to repair my shower. Prodigy gave me a more than fair price, were super courteous and professional, and were able to complete the repairs to the shower and toilet quickly. Our kitchen flooded. Prodigy sent a technician within an hour. Did not ask the name of the technician. He found out real quick that the water leak was coming from the tiny plastic hose from the water filter under the sink to the rerigerator, at a location behind the electric range. He placed a connector to stop the leak. I think the bill is a little high for the service since their shop is j ust about 5 minutes away, but the technician is excelent. read more

They saved me around $300 compared to the competition, on a relatively big job. As you can see in the pics they did an EXTREMELY clean and efficient job. My sink was completely unusable it was so clogged w grease. They completed a job that most other companies told me was going to take all day in around 3 hours. Very clear and straight forward from the start. Called at 7:30am (open at 8 according to business hours but still answered) to report issue with clog in main sewer line but Matt wanted to understand more before making the diagnosis which I appreciated. Told me one of his guys, Edgar, would come around 830-845am. Right on time and Edgar was very respectful of my house and the area he was working in. He was clear in his explanation in trying to diagnos the problem. It was a blockage in the main sewer line (as we thought). When he finished he made sure everything was working properly and clog was gone. He happily answered all the questions I had as he was working and made sure I knew what was going on. I never had to call a plumber before, but my first time experience with one was great! David was my plumber. He arrived in a timely manner to fix my leaking toilet tank. He was also very knowledgeable, personal, and friendly, which I really appreciated. What I appreciated the most was that I didn't feel taken advantage of as a first-time customer (which some of us could relate). I didn't know too much about how to repair a toilet and David understood that. Alright have any of you ever seen the movie Pulp Fiction? Prodigy Plumbing is nothing like that movie, except they got a guy named Cole who reminds me of "The Wolf" (a character in that movie). For the uninitiated, when Samuel Jackson and John Travolta's characters get into a seemingly impossible-to-fix situation they call this character named "The Wolf" for help. He's experienced and tells them exactly what needs to be done and why. He puts it in terms that are easy to understand and motivates his crew to get to work on solving the problem. Cole at Prodigy Plumbing is like that guy. He is knowledgeable and is clearly respected by many people in his company. He is respectful yet offers firm recommendations. The entire time he was on site with me, he was getting hammer called by other people seeking his advice. Long story short I had a tankless water heater that was starting to fail and Cole diagnosed it quickly and gave me clear repair options with immediate price quotes. It was expensive, but so would ignoring the problem for longer. After Cole was done with diagnosis, his crew Alexis and Jonathan came in to execute the necessary repairs. They were diligent and stayed late into the night to make sure we didn't go another night without hot water. This company is obviously well-run, and I'm not surprised they have such a high Yelp rating. I wish I had called "The Wolf" Cole first. read more

Updated review: after posting the below post, I was reached out by Mark who did everything in his power to get us service. Technicians came out as soon as they could and did a clean out of our water heater and thorough check. Guess we needed a part replaced. They came out the next day and replaced it. Yay! Didn't hear any exploding sounds yet, waiting for the water to heat up again, but so far so good. Thank you Mark for your assistance. Previous review: We used Prodigy before to install our water heater and had great service from Ozzy. But now we called to come check out our almost 2-year old water heater that they installed cause it's constantly turning off and making exploding sounds. Someone that was not Ozzy came out and said nothing was wrong with it but didnt really do a thorough check but went off based on what we told him. He said we could change the thermocouple but it'll cost us $80+. We don't think that's the issue cause our water heater keeps looks like it has exploding flames coming out and just automatically shuts off. We've been trying to have them come out again since now we have a video of what our water heater has been doing and we've been trying for about 2 weeks to get someone out and have not been able to get a hold of anyone. I know it's over the Thanksgiving Holiday....but thanksgiving is over and now it's a Saturday, so someone should've called us back to set up an appointment right? ....very frustrating. read more
