I had the pleasure of getting my pedicure from Grandma Hannah. Although her English is limited, she would gently guide my feet where she needed them, and communication wasn't an issue. She took her time, made sure I was comfortable throughout the service, and even helped restart my chair massage when it stopped. I never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. I've been searching for a new nail salon after being disappointed by my last two places, and I think I finally found it. The prices are comparable to other salons, and I included a photo of the current menu for anyone curious. A couple of helpful tips: they prefer cash tips, and there's an ATM inside if you need it. Also, if you pay for your services with a credit card, there's a 2.5% surcharge, so bringing cash can save you a little. Overall, I had a great experience, and I'll definitely be coming back. Hidden gem tucked away in the corner! I walked in around 3pm desperately needing a pedicure, and I'm so glad I found this place. From start to finish, everything was perfect. I asked for a gel pedicure and had the pleasure of having Stephanie (sp?) take care of me -- she was absolutely wonderful. Her attention to detail and the amazing massage made this the best pedicure I've had in a long time. I also loved that they use plastic liners in the pedicure bowls -- super clean and hygienic. The massage chair was powerful (in the best way!), and they even let you choose from different pedicure scent options, which was a nice touch. The callus removal was thorough, and my feet have never felt so smooth. The foot massage was strong and relaxing, exactly what I needed, and the hot stone massage at the end was the cherry on top. Here's the reasoning: -Positives: Grandma Hannah's attentive service and the quality of products used, along with friendly customer service, were strong points. -Negatives: The wait time beyond the scheduled appointment and especially the cleanliness issues (reusing disposable items) bring the rating down, as these are factors that can impact both comfort and hygiene. -Grandma Hannah was a gem! I had her for a Deluxe Pedi ($60) with gel polish ($20), and it was worth it. Gentle and meticulous, she added a warm, family touch to the experience despite limited English. The products were a plus--no irritation, no burning, and, thankfully, no bleeding (something I've dealt with at other salons). Hannah made it comfortable and safe. Customer service was friendly and patient with questions. I arrived early for my 4 pm appointment but wasn't served until 4:20 pm, finishing around 5:45 pm. Luckily, I had time! The salon could improve cleanliness (2/5). Tools are sterilized, but they appear to reuse disposable files and buffers. Chairs, however, are like new, with standard massage and charging outlets. I called while waiting for my car window to be tinted, and they squeezed me in. I got a pedicure only because I was short on time. But the lady did amazing, and she took her time.. the pricing was excellent, too. I had the basic pedicure, and I believe it was $45, which also included the callus remover, which is often an extra $8-$10 at other salons.. the spa itself was very pretty inside. Was recommended this place by a family member. Walked in and there were 3 employees and 3 customers inside and was told that they were sooo busy to come back in 1hr 15 min. Okay, that's fine. I came back for a soak off acrylic and a gel polish manicure. The elder lady took 2 hours on me and I didn't even get to pick a color. I showed her a picture of the length and shape that I wanted and I guess she thought I wanted that color too but I was sure to emphasize 'this shape and color' she didn't speak good English so it's fine. But I had to keep telling her that's not the length I want. Can you reshape this it's very crooked. You left a big section of acrylic can you file that off before painting. When I left I looked at my nails and she had painted in all the dust and lint from filing. My nails are so bumpy. 2 hours for this is wild. read more

Ok so the first visit I had a pedicure and new set of nails done. The pedi was perfection, the gentleman very gently fixed my ingrown toenail without me even mentioning I was having an issue yet. I work on my feet all day so fixing that I could feel relief immediately once back to work. Nails the shaping was less than desired. I was flying out that same day back to work on Maui so didn't complain or make a fuss. Once back on Oahu made an appointment with Kelly and she fixed to perfection. I will definitely be returning. We had three kid Manicure & Pedicures. The Ladies were patient and sweet to the girls. The only complaint I have is that although I paid for three of the SAME service all three kids didn't have the same mani & pedi experience. Two of the three girls got to have the water on for a foot soak prior to the pedi. Only one kid had lotion or scrub placed on her legs and one child had to sit at a table to get her nails done while her friends got to stay in the massage chairs. So this is the newly managed place near chun wah kam and the pet hospital. I got a guy who kept insisting that I get the most expensive pedicure package. I think he may have just graduated from the nail school or maybe he just didn't wanna work on my feet? Took him forever to get 2 me bc he was dizzying around.. Was kinda awkward. I think he figured out I was getting ready 2 leave so he reluctantly came over.. I told him the water was cold and he ignored me. I told him to Not cut my toe nail lower then the top of my toe nail skin and before I knew it - they got scalped. I hate short toe nail. Then I noticed a little girl sit next 2 me and she said the water was cold 2 and her nail tech just kinda laughed it off. I've been going here since they were Kapolei Nails and Lash Bar. and i still continue to go with them changing to a new owner. Kelly, the owner is awesome at her work ! whether it's nails or lashes ! She remembers ALL of her clients by name. Her professionalism is spectacular. i wanna say, 3 months in since they took over, i finally got to get my nails done. She introduced me to Gel Resin and i never went back to Acrylic since ! Gel resin is so much more lighter on your nails, it lasts waaaay longer than acrylic. it could last about 5 weeks maybe longer. i work at the bank and i'm always sanitizing my hands after every member and it still can last long. it doesn't start to grow out at about 2 1/2 week mark. it's much healthier on your nails as well, no lifting whatsoever. everyday i'm always getting complements on my nails. not just from the ladies, the mens as well !! they tell their wives about it because they said the wives are always complaining that their nails never last long. did i mention the artwork that Kelly does ?!!! I've known this location as Kapolei Lash & Nail Bar. Didn't know they was bought out by another company because I've been going to them since 2019. One day I called because it's saved in my phone & I asked to make an appointment. When i showed up it was many new faces & a banner was hung saying "new owner" so I was thinking oh em what happened & I asked where is all the workers they said new owner. So I figured hmm why not let's just try it. My experience here was definitely different I've came to this location I'd like to say 3 or 4 different times after they rebranded. After my last visit I realized that I need to find a new salon to take care of me. I will always do my toes each month so I always get a Gel pedicure. My last visit wasn't great, the water was at a lukewarm temperature, when I reached home I realized that the back of my leg still had lotion or scrubbing product on it. I had to jump in the shower & wash off again. I've paid for a service that I didn't receive, I wasn't sure if that person forgot what I was getting but then I was already over it & just wanted to get out. I know the rebranded site is doing their best and I did give them 4 months of my time but I don't think I can see myself going back here again. The owner is really nice and she's talented with her free style nail art. Unfortunately, my experience here wasn't the greatest and if I'm investing money into my self care I'd prefer a location that will properly do their job & make it worth it. read more
