Just one phone call and Andy was on the job ready to go to work. He made the space wider and higher. He shaved about 1/4 of an inch off the end of the countertop, slipped one section of the upper cabinets out, took it to the shop and shaved off about 3/8 of an inch and slipped back into place. You can't tell it was ever moved. I give Andy six stars, maybe seven. It is really hard to find a cabinet shop that would take a job like that. This class is great because you also get a trip to the Kendall Yards Farmers Market where Jamie breaks down what's in season and an ideas for how to use various ingredients. You shop along with her as she picks out the main ingredients for the class and have time to shop yourself before getting started with the actual class back at the Kitchen Engine. Her classes and dishes are vegetarian and plant-based so you leave with nutritious and delicious recipes. My only disclaimer is that this class (and really any class) will be challenging for those with mobility issues. The walking involved at the market with this class and the bar stool seating for the 3-hr class was difficult for my father, who has mobility issues. That said, he has a blast. Just a callout so you know what to expect.

His suggestion of adding some wanes coating to the wall with some nice trim really set the room off! He also never had a problem with adjusting to all the little things I added last-minute: putting a bidet on the toilet, grabbing the hardware for my cupboards that I forgot to get, added a kick plate to the door to protect the paint job, as well as fill in some gaps left on the trim that the other bathroom guys left untouched. My husband & I have bought two espresso machines from here. We have always had a good experience and been treated exceptionally. When we walked in and started looking around we kept getting looked at as if we shouldn't be in there, or as if we were gonna steal something. There was 3 or 4 associates and not a single one greeted us or asked us if we needed help. We waited for about 5-10 minutes by the counter and nobody acknowledged us.

He said it was a challenge and I was impressed with his persistence. I can tell he takes pride in his work. Before I contacted Action Drain, I called Gold Seal because they offered a promotional drain clearing for $89. This was a few days before for the same problem. The guy said it was clear, but right after he left it backed up immediately which was worse than before he started. The sink would at least drain. In addition, when he reassembled the drain pipes, he screwed one connector on crooked so it leaked! I called to ask if they would return without charge since he made it worse. They said no. The service manager was supposed to call me but did not. Definitely a second rate company. I went with Action Drain based on Yelp reviews. I definitely recommend them.
