I am very disappointed in the way I was treated. Today I went there with my family looking for new coffee mugs, and a new espresso machine. My husband & I have bought two espresso machines from here. We have always had a good experience and been treated exceptionally. When we walked in and started looking around we kept getting looked at as if we shouldn't be in there, or as if we were gonna steal something. There was 3 or 4 associates and not a single one greeted us or asked us if we needed help. We waited for about 5-10 minutes by the counter and nobody acknowledged us. read more

This is very small, old-designed Williams-Sonoma store. Only two associates where working and they where busy talking to themselves. No one else was in the store (or mall.) They did not have the item I was looking for...the assortment and selection is so small compared to other stores. You can see and feel that this mall and downtown area is struggling economically. Lobe, love, love Williams Sonoma! basically, if something comes from the store, whether it's an appliance, flatware, knives, and spices or food prep items, you can be assured that it's quality. Some of my favorite things are their beef Bourguignon and Coq au Vin braises and starters. I have fooled French people into thinking that I am Julia Childs with these starters. They may be a little bit expensive, but when you consider the cost of the meat and the sophistication of the meal, it is extremely well priced. I think the beef Borgen Jan starter is around 16 bucks a jar, but now you don't have to buy wine and so many of the other necessary ingredients, so it really saves you money. Anyhow, those are just some of my favorites. I've never purchased anything there that is not top drawer. read more

This Williams Sonoma is a fun place to find high end and specialty kitchen items. It is located within River Park Square downtown. I think it is a perfect place to get housewarming or hostess gifts. I noticed a gnocchi tool which would be awesome for the pasta lover in your life. They have great scented hand soaps and lotion sets as well. The gardenia scent for spring smells fantastic! I always stop in here when downtown. read more

Pricey but a good place to purchase some higher end kitchen needs. Came in to purchase two new wooden cutting boards. All the staff were personable, knowledgeable and patient; I need to mull over a purchase for a long time. We left with two very nice Boos maple cutting boards and they've been a delight to use. Interestingly enough we've usually been largely ignored by staff at other WS stores in other cities, but the staff here were friendly an approachable. read more

This place is the Nordstrom of anything kitchen related items. Kind of spendy or if you want that "premium" item(s). Its a very nice store, glad Spokane was able to land and keep this W-S in River Park Sq Mall. In addition to the cookware, they also have cook books and a myriad of sauces, pasta, etc, that are also premium. I believe, don't quote me on this, but they also hold infomational classes on the weekends. read more

I love the merchandise and high end kitchen items Williams Sonoma carries. If I only shopped online, this would be a solid 5. Sadly, even though brick and mortar retail establishments are quickly becoming obsolete, the customer service at this high end store is constantly lacking. It's like that scene from Pretty Woman where I'm treated as though I should not be shopping there. When I do ask a question, I feel I am bothering them from putting out new merchandise or something else not having to do with customers. Today, they were olive branches sent by corporate. All 5 people were behind the cash wrap completely engaged in these branches and real olives attached to them as I sat waiting to be rung up. When I was rung up, there were food items I was purchasing and the only thing I was told was that I cannot return anything related to food. Thanks. I appreciate information on your return policy vs. any help on your items. I typically find what I need independently online, which is where I choose to do my shopping with this store. read more

"Rude" is the word I use to describe all but one of the staff I encountered (3 in total) on the day I went in to purchase a few of my usual Williams Sonoma kitchen staples for my new house. I just moved back to Spokane so I hadn't been to this store until last Saturday and I was floored at how rude the manager and one other employee (who happened to be very sick, coughing, etc.) were to me. Manager was icy cold and acted put-out when I asked if we could try the pumpkin bread they had made up and also if there was another option for the grease guard I was holding, and the sick person blew our minds (and her nose) when I asked if she wouldn't mind getting one of the other staff to ring me up (please, kindly) because I didn't want to catch whatever she had. She very rudely snatched one of the items I was purchasing from my hand and asked another person (who thankfully turned out to be very nice and attentive) to get me another one and ring me up. My friend and I looked at each other and both said "Wow!" at the same time. My friend then said to the nice young lady who was ringing me up that if she were a regional manager for W.S. she would fire the lot of them except for her. I shop W.S. a lot so I hope this isn't the only one in Spokane! read more

Yesterday I went to Williams Sonoma in Spokane. This was the second time I had been there. The first time was last summer when I was exchanging some items that I had gotten from William Sonoma online that had gotten damaged in shipping. That time the manager was so rude it literally took my breath away. She made sure everyone else got waited on before me, even customers that came in way after me. She acted like I was the one who damaged the items, and was trying to pull a "fast one". She had all the other customers looking at me like I was some kind of shoplifter with her comments. It took an hour for her to complete the return, all the time whispering things about me to her other employees. It was so bad I complained to Williams Sonoma Corporate, she treated me so disrespectfully. After that I ordered from online. I have never been treated that like in any William Sonoma stores, and I have been to a lot of them. Love their products, spend a lot of money there. During this holiday season got another box online with lots of damages. Figured I would go to the store, thinking this could not happen twice, and It would be easier to fix than dealing with shipping services through the holidays. Unfortunately, the same exact thing happened, only this time she was even ruder if at all possible. I told her I buy a lot of their products, spent a lot ect. She acted like it was her personal store, and she didn't care at all about getting business. Needless to say I will never go back there. Beware!!! read more
