Would absolutely not answer the phones for 3 hours regarding a reservation. Only continued to get an automated message saying they were closed and to call back durning business hours for hours AFTER they opened. I had to then drive up to the bowling alley to get confirmation on my reservation, the employees then refused to just flat out apologize and correct their mistake instead stood there and blamed each other on whose fault the phone wasn't turned on. Not only did I call for 3 hours straight, but email, and DM on two different platforms. This is ridiculous. read more

Another tournament hosted here where they ran out of food . This place always runs out of seating and even when we bring our own, there is zero consideration for others. The facility was more concerned with cramming all of the team events onto 10 lanes which means 60-80 adults crammed into the 10 feet behind the lanes. No one at the facility made sure others were able to see. I can't stand for 3 games of bowling. My son is a Senior. It's our last few high school events. Get it together, Professor bowl. No food. Professor Bowl has one of the nastiest kitchens I've ever been in. I'm talking mold in every refrigerator, months or even years worth of food under everything. The floor and fryer are completely covered in a thick layer of grease and the hood vent grease trap is literally a glass mason jar. They also thaw all the raw chicken and fish in an open sink in HOT water. The owner is literally insane. I tried to tell him all of this but he was more worried that I cut a sandwich "right". One of the morning cooks saves used ziplock bags to reuse, she also uses the wax paper from the raw bacon to wrap up burger patties. read more

We were charged by the game per person and it was more expensive than being charged for the hour. We only bowled for about 50 minutes but they couldn't seem to figure out that it was cheaper to charge by the hour than by the game. Also, the music was not my favourite and obnoxiously loud. read more

Place has not been kept up with. If you go here prepare to feel like you are back in 2005, everything is so dated. Employees are very unhelpful and nosey. Got in our groups business and made a couple in our group leave separate (made this man get an Uber) because they were working out a problem. The girl said she was fine the guy said he was fine and they called the police before even asking. Ruined his birthday and made her feel like she was the reason. Bad environment even worse staff. If they would ask people before jumping to conclusions they probably would have gotten a good review. read more

We've been coming to Professor Bowl for several years using the Kids Bowl Free passes (and without the passes). My family loves coming here. The staff is always super friendly, the food is soooo good (especially the fried pickles and wings) and the atmosphere is always fun! They are open! Vintage atmosphere and very friendly.. always a great place to bowl. Just had the catfish and fried pickles.. SO GOOD! Sanitizing and wearing masks and gloves- this place is immaculate! Very impressed. We'll be here at least once a week to support these guys in hopes they survive the pandemic. It's a bowling alley, and while it's neither the newest or most classic, it's got all the right moving parts in the right places. I bowled for a solid four hours straight and had no issues. Their Sunday Special is awesome: $6/person gets you shoes and one game, then it's only a $1 per person per game after that! Solid. They also have a nice little arcade area that makes the most of the remarkable view. But where they really shine is the beer selection. I was frankly amazed. When I first came in, I thought that back wall completely covered in beers was for show. It was only when I finally went to pick my brew that I realized *all* of those are available. Whoa! And a solid half of the options I'd never even heard of. Top marks! The food was also very good. It's greasy spoon type stuff, but not bad at all :) the fried pickles come in a giant pile, the double-burger was a good chunk more than I'd bargained for, but after that four hours of bowling, it hit the spot! read more

Can't comment on nothing but the food since that's all I had from here. I really wanted to like it since I've heard nothing but good things about it for the price. However it wasn't what I expected. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of fried pickles. Burger was smaller than what I expected, looked past that, bite into my burger, & it's dry & bland. It's like they skimped on the condiments, fried pickles were so over seasoned, that I got bad heartburn from them & couldn't even finish them all. Our large family (10-15 people) has gone twice now and we've had a great time. The fried appetizers and burgers have all been delicious (don't order food if you're in any kind of diet), and they have an awesome selection of both local and domestic beer. When the kids get tired of bowling, they have a great time in the arcade until everyone else is finished. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, and we will most definitely return! read more

They REALLY need to be staffed better. I honestly felt terrible for the blonde girl running around like a mad lady. She was basically working every station: checkin, shows, food, ice cream. I live in Seattle, but my grandparents live just up the hill from Professor Bowl. So one night while in town visiting, my cousin and I came here for a drink and a roll. We were totally surprised by the extensive selection of microbrews. We rolled a few games to decent enough music, and enjoyed our beers. The staff were super friendly and fun to chat with. Turned 21 well over a month ago and they refused to sell me a Seagrams because my ID was "fake." Just because my ID is from out of state doesn't mean it's fake. They didn't even scan it or anything, just looked at it and said it was fake. Same ID I would show a cop. Very disappointing. read more

Customer service was great! We had a fun time. This was my first time bowling in a long time so I don't know if the prices are competitive or not. We went after 5 on a Friday and paid $23 per hour for four people plus $2.50 per person for shoe rental. I would definitely go back. read more

Experienced Professor Bowl today for the first time in forever. It didn't go well as the owner and I had a misunderstanding from the beginning. It was something so simple that totally turned into the owner rudely yelling at me. Maybe it's just my opinion but loud talking to a customer is just not good. Coming back here will not be something I plan to do. I'm sure it's fine for others but if someone can go from 0-10 in seconds, I prefer to stay away. read more

Refused to serve us on a Saturday night. They said they had a "tournament" going on. Absolutely no one was bowling.

So the reason I write this review is because I can understand some concerns w/ the staff and league bowling. My first thing to say is that my wife and I have been league bowlers for about over 2 years now so that means we go every week. Now we started out and are still more laid back than really good, although my personal average has gone up to 160-170. We used to go for fun on weekends and go talked into a league, and haven't looked back since. As far as my review, I really do love this place, its not flashy or anything, but the people are nice. Now if its busy, they can be short handed and seem like they don't care, but they do have a lot going on. The one thing that I've noticed the last several years is a great expansion of their draft beers, at least 10-15 of all flavors and many local options. I admit that we hardly eat the food, but the few times we have the wings were good, as was the flatbread, and looking at other bowlers food it has always looked solid, much more than a side thought than most other bowling places I would assume. In the end, if during some of the larger league bowl days during the week and you have to wait, I understand the frustration, but wait it out, bowl, drink and enjoy this great place that we love, and the staff really tries to help you out. read more

As far as bowling alleys go, I have to say that this is one of the worst ones I've ever seen, except for one in a third world country I went to once, where the pins were held up by strings and the balls were half normal size... So Professor Bowl just seems old and understocked. There was a pretty limited number of balls to be had, and the ones that were there were somehow pock-marked like crazy, and the paint and flooring seems a bit outdated. The lighting just seemed weird, as well. The employees put us on these two lanes, and upon bowling out first two on each lane, the balls just never came back. After some confusion, we were moved to another lane. I cannot confirm this, and maybe all of use were just having a bad day, but in our group, it seemed like all of us just managed to leave one pin standing far too often, robbing us of many strikes we felt like we should've had. Again, not sure on that, but it was a feeling we got. We had nachos, which of course, expensive, and salty, and not good, but who goes to bowling alleys to eat, anyway? read more

This place is awesome. I lived in a city where bowling wasn't accessible forever so getting to bowl was awesome. Over 200 beers from what I remember including my favorite Rogue Dead Guy Ale and a few ciders even. Bowling Alley is clean with security, they have the disco, black light dealio later in the night, great younger hip staff...Best bowling alley ever. Cons: in the middle of nowhere, kids running around here and there, but hey it's a bowling alley. read more
