Mom had been taking her grand marquis to them for few years for just the oil change service, these cars are extremely reliable, had around 80k miles on it, after last oil change and after 2nd engine start check engine light came on and had a strange "rattle" under the car, took it back to progressive and explained that never had light on before, owner had codes cleared mom went home but next day light returns and owner tells her she just needs to drive it and it will go out. I am a retired mechanic of 70 yrs old but I still have my own tools and started finding problems after their service work, first the rattle - they had lifted her car on the rear catalytic converters and partially crushed the interior membranes on both sides of car, next problem - check engine light - scan revealed issue with EVAP system which the issue was found to be 2 wires inside a rear wiring harness way above fuel tank and not exposed to external damage were cleanly cut with dikes that had left tool imprints on the wire. After repairing what these people destroyed purposely and them deliberately causing repairs to be needed, I believe they're in business to cause cars to need repairs for their own benefit ie even other shops are aware of progressive auto care's practices and they've reported to customers to be warned. I can see why they're not involved with the BBB, folks these people are dangerous and give real mechanics a bad overview. However here at Progressive I was left with total assurance that the job these guys do here is great. I've been to this service center twice. Once when my car was totaled from a hail storm (I'm still sad) and then recently after my car was rear ended. The customer service here is great. The people working here are on their game and when they say they're going to call you they do. They don't leave you guessing. I was referred by a friend that said they do really good work, so i thought why not. I knew the problem on my highlander because test was run a dealership and to replace knock sensor was 1100.00, now Jeff told me that if he bought parts he would warranty the parts ,so i let them do the job for 700.00 but 3 weeks later engine light came back on and car was not going into overdrive once car got over to 50 mph ,took car back to progressive and Jeff told me that the knock sensor had nothing to do with transmission on a 2001 Toyota highlander. Wrong nor did he bother to replace the aftermarket sensor that he charge me 300.00 for. I believe in accountability but he didn't warranty that. Truck runs great took it to dealership where i should have done at first. mechanic said they were aftermarket parts, thats why they didn't work. Lesson learn. I have had a very rocky history with other auto shops and until progressive I have alway been disappointed. I have been here multiple times with three different vehicles. I have recommended them to family and friends who have ALL had nothing but good experiences with them. They are honest people who care about you. I had a Ford Taurus that I had asked them to fix my AC on. I did not take it to them first I took it to another who I caught in a lie. Due to the dishonesty of the auto mechanic 5 mins from my house I took it 30 mins from my house to progressive. They called me after I had left the car and explained to me that if I wanted they would fix the AC as requested but the mechanic found a much larger issue that was going to be ALOT more money. Their suggestion was not for me to pay them more money but for me to not put money into the AC with the problems the engine has. After that he went over options I had and due to money I ended up buying a new vehicle. That cost progressive a pretty penny that I was willing to pay but as usual they were looking out for me. They are the only mechanics I trust and I will continue to take my vehicles here! read more

I was having some issue with my work car. Took it to my main mechanic, on a Friday, and they couldn't have it ready until Monday. So I picked it up that Friday evening and took it to Progressive Saturday morning. Jeff thoroughly explained everything to me and had my car ready in less than 2 hours. A few days later I noticed my car was leaking and trying to run hot. Took it to progressive and spoke with Jeff the owner. He checked the car out in front of me and verified that it was the water pump going out. My car was fixed and ready to be picked up in less than 3 hours. He came highly recommended to be by several people. He really listened to my concerns and gave me great feedback. He and his workers are great at what they do from my experience. They are not lolly gagging around and I love how efficient they are. I have a new mechanic now!!!!! And all the prices are reasonable y'all. I have been dealing with these people for over ten yes. I use to believe they where honest, Christian people. The last few years they have change my opinion. I took my van in for major front end work. I got a quote and then researched it extensively. They where over a $100 less then anyone. I verified their quote with them then let them fix it. They did a good job. When I picked it up I was told sorry his son had miss quoted the price of the part. They charged me over $100 more before I could get my keys. I just took my car up there and told them what it was doing and that I thought it was the fuel pump. their exact words were :worst case scenario it would cost $380:. When I went to get it. They told me it would be $552 because it took THEM 2 hours to figure out what was wrong with it. So just be prepared to pay at the very least $100 more then there quote . also they had my car for 4 days. Friends even saw them in it broken down on the street. They put over 15 miles on my car. It now has major scratches from a bush or something on the drivers side that they claim no knowledge of. I also found something plastic in my seat. First they did not even know what it was. Then they said it went to the battery. and I did not need it. That it was to lift it up when needed. That it was trash I know for a fact that they never even unhooked the battery because all my stations were still set. I will never be going back. I was warned. Next time I will listen. read more
