We were directed to Progressive Home through our builder. Not impressed at all with the service nor the customer service, but the follow up with their customers is inexistent. Purchase was a piece of cake, when I called Andrew (our sales consultant) he was always available. Installation day comes in the installer still trying to upsell a bunch of crap I had already said no to Andrew. They cut through wires, punch holes in the walls, walk in and out, etc. (which is fine since they're installing everything) except they don't pick up after themselves. Dust, wire bits and debris all over the house. One of the TV mounts looks very crooked. I asked the guy to fix it WHILE he was finishing it up. His response "it will always be a little crooked to one side or another" (yeah, no thanks). After installation, our door knob was missing. Nobody saw what happened, it was just gone. I tried to call Andrew several times, this time never available, always with "a client" (what am I then?). Tried to speak with a manager, never available either, they pushed me to speak with another consultant. Somewhat helpful but evasive. They installed a automated door lock that we did not purchase (we did purchase the setup because we'd add our own lock with cameras later on) but during the install, one of the guys said it was a mistake and they'd keep it there since they already installed it. I get a call later on from the same guy I was pushed to when wanting to speak with the manager, and they had the audacity to say I needed to pay $500 dollars for that lock!!! I told him that was an absurd, the installation guys did tell me it was THEIR mistake and he had called the office to verify and that he got the OK from the office to leave it there to make amends, otherwise they could have just removed it during installation. Mind you we paid over 12 thousand dollars and would have expected a much better service, heck, to have my door knob in place at least. Not sure if the backdoor knob was destroyed as a retaliation but we'll never know. Bottom line: I do not recommend but if your builder refers you to Progressive Home, DO LOTS of research and know exactly what you would need in your home. Monitor the installation and address things as they are happening because it's hard to get a hold of them after your check is cashed in. read more

My wife and I purchased a American West home. We were referred to them for our electrical upgrades. They didn't make a home run from us, but we still spent over 2000 dollars extra with them. We had Cat5 run through the whole house, the bigger smart box, 2 walls we had the tubes run in the walls for the TV wires, and a few extra plugs. During the framing phase of the house they came in and did there thing. They left a Cat5 wire hanging down in the master bath, I called them to let them know so they could remedy it before drywall, I left a message with the salesman on his voicemail, never heard back from him. 2 weeks later before drywall I went ahead myself, and put the wire up in the celling. I now moving in the house setting up my TVs, the tubes in the walls are way to small and a corrugated tube, if you have anymore than 3 HDMI cables forget about it, I could barely get 2 4K and 1 regular HDMI cord down it, and the tubs were to long 1 plate was upside-down. I had to take the whole thing apart to cut down the tubes so the wires could exit the wall. Don't give these people any more money than you have to. read more

Worked with Kory for options and Al did the final install and activation of our new American West home. Never failed to be dilligent with completion and the quality is excellent. They have numerous options available however never pushed like many other vendors. Requested a number of wiring options and they were completed perfectly. I reached out to 5 different security companies providing exact information, details, and specifications of what I wanted on Yelp. 4 our of 5 provided me with direct pricing and information. Progressive Home told me I needed to call someone or email someone. I explained Yelp is most convenient for me, and I was told I needed to send an email to info@xyz to get information. I then explained when someone is spending money, the company accommodates the client, not vice versa. They forget, they need the client, the client does not need them. I think this fact is lost on a lot of businesses nowadays. When someone is spending money voluntarily for goods or a service, you accommodate them. Period. And the request was literally for pricing, not for something absurd. I was responded to with "I'm glad you have 4 other companies to go with" So I have no idea how the quality of work Progressive does, but the customer service interaction was terrible, and I will be spending thousand(s) on a security system somewhere else solely based on the fact of how I was treated. read more

Updating from the previous experience Overall, the INSTALLATION process was okay, not the best and definitely not the worst. The customer service/attentiveness of the owner Michael was excellent. The two technicians were very polite, courteous, and all around good guys, but what I found to be most challenging was the installation efficiency itself. Installing 4 cameras with a DVR system should not have taken 5 hours to complete. I do understand that every installation has their challenges, but still. If I were to grade the efficiency of the service it would be 3 out 5 stars, but the actual work - the end product would be 4 out 5 stars. They did deliver on what they promised, and their work was clean, meticulous, and very well presented. And what saved the day for me was the customer service of the Owner Michael. He did not have to, but he did go that extra step to making me feel that my concerns were acknowledged, addressed, and rectified. read more

We recently bought American West home equipped with devices to control alarm, thermostat, video, intercom, etc.. This home was built in 2004; therefore some controllers are not functional and outdated. Kuris Gierer was a technical service representative that came to my house on 11/18/16 to check out the controllers. Dealt with Andrew who came of as a used car salesman, tried to sell me on everything. Tried to tell me that my current internet wouldn't work in the new home I was purchasing and the I needed to have them install all these wireless stuff for the new home. Sent me home a packet with pricing, then proceeded to tell me that the pricing was wrong and they would try and match what they put in the packet they gave me. My husband bugged me to death for a full audio system throughout our new home. I told him it simply wasn't worth the money. Well....i was wrong! Having awesome speakers and great music playing in every room really enhanced the mood and ambiance throughout the entire house. I called Progressive Home to inquire about installing in-ceiling speakers in my new construction home living room which already had been pre-wired by the builder. Even though it was a smaller job for them (no wiring or home theater AV receiver hookups required) they were able to schedule an installation appointment within a few days. The speaker installation was estimated to be between 1 and 3 hours of labor at a very reasonable hourly rate. Their installer Juan was very knowledgable and experienced. He arrived early for the appointment and inspected the existing ceiling pre-wiring to determine any potential issues. The installation of 5 in-ceiling 8" speakers took about 2 hours from start to finish which was within the estimated labor window. The installation looks great with very precise cutouts which didn't require any paint touch-ups. An added bonus was that Juan left my place cleaner than it was before he arrived! I will be scheduling another appointment with Progressive Home to install in-ceiling speakers in my den once I purchase the speakers in the next couple of weeks. read more

I recently purchased a new home, and progressive home installed my surround sound system, home alarm and installed multi-room audio equipment in the house ( well I think thats what it's called - Russound system) as well as outside the house. The sound in the house and outside the house sounds awsome! The people that installed the equipment were friendly, curitous and when a problem arose they jumped on it quickly to make sure that I was happy with everything that was done to rectify it. I was even contacted by the owner to make sure that the problem was fixed quickly and to my approval ( which I was beyond happy with the results ). I am very happy we chose Progressive Home's services. We were a little hesitant at first when it was offered by the home builder, but then we figured what the heck, we could have it built into the loan. Besides, I had had speakers installed before and it cost me at least twice as much. The convenience factor was great, we moved into the house with all the speakers installed, tv, hdmi and camera prewired so there is no reason for us to poke holes in walls then have to repaint the whole thing. But the reason I decided to go on Yelp and leave a review for these guys is because I am so pleasantly surprised at what kind of rock stars they are! We met with Kory the sales guy, he was as helpful, knowledgeable and patient as we could have expected. Then after the house was built and we had moved in, we had David come in and complete the installs. I mean , I don't know where to begin, he did the job, cleaned up after himself, took an awful lot of time and patience to walk us through the house and explain every little detail. I wouldn't have put up with me us much as he did. A couple of days later when I had of course forgotten how to change settings in the panel, I saw David working at next door neighbor's house and asked him for some guidance. Without any objections he came in, took care of the settings, patiently gave instructions to the cable installer and left. I then did some online research and found out that all the items we had purchased, the central vac, speakers, the panel, the security system and the doorbells were much more expensive if I was to get them somewhere else, plus I got them professionally installed. Progessive Home is your one-stop-shop for all of your high-tech needs. As another Yelper noted, PH was the preferred vendor of my home builder, America West. They have tons of gadgetry to upgrade your home, but I only used them for my sound system. I opted for the Sonos System, which consisted of surround sound in my living room, and separate speaker zones in the kitchen, garage, master bedroom, and outdoor patio/yard. Installation was clean and professional. I can't speak for their price because, I didn't do any comparisons with other vendors. I will say, that for all I got, I don't feel ripped-off in any way. I did need a service call to fix a system issue about a week after my one-year warranty expired, and the company did not charge me for it. Overall I am very happy with Progressive Homes. I would recommend them to anyone, and will call on them again when I expand my backyard system. read more

We contacted Progressive Home in addition to a few other companies to quote a home automation set up, whole house networking and a security system for a recently purchased home. I initially met with Andrew in their design center to discuss what we were hoping to achieve. Andrew was very knowledgable and patient with my questions throughout our appointment. He followed up with an in home appointment a few days later making sure to take detailed notes of where we wanted placement of items and how best to achieve our requests. Equally impressive, he took the time to properly seek out and document existing items to see if they could be reused or repurposed, thus saving us costs. The quote that soon followed was more detailed, with no pressure or attempts at upsellign or adding. Needless to say, it was quite refreshing to experience. Having received top notch customer service thus far, and a reasonable quote from a company that knew their products, we decided on Progressive Home for our equipment and installation. We have not been disappointed. They were able to squeeze us in last minute to take care of all the initial wiring prior to our move in date which was a huge help and we were extremely grateful for. Over the course of the week they followed up with equipment installation and programming set up, each time with outstanding customer service from Kurtis and the rest of the team. While we elected to hold off on the home automation for now, the foundation has been set to build upon our system as we see fit. Our whole process would have been much easier and less stressful had we contacted Progressive Home first, not last; however, as the saying goes, we save the best for last.
