Really enjoyed this place! The decor and vibe is awesome! It's hipster and industrial and loud which makes for a nice atmosphere. The only thing is that it's freezing as the AC is blasting. The menu is primarily meat focused and heavy on the burgers(beer cheese soup is made with a chicken base). We got the specialty burger and the mushroom burger which were both great. The mushroom burger was probably the best one I've had...great assortment of mushrooms and cooked perfectly. The specialty burger was good as well but super messy to eat as it all falls apart. For sides we got the fries and house salad which were both good. Service was a bit slow but it wasn't a big deal as we weren't a rush. read more

Wow, this place was a great find in the area. We searching for hours on Yelp trying to find a dinner place and was coming up empty. We then found this gem and loved it so much we came back for drinks after dinner. They had live entertainment and a great food and drink menu. Went two days in a row, fine first night. 2nd night was trying to order drinks and food at bar. Female bartender they call "Ma or mom" (blond lady around 30) was extremely rude and condescending. Very dismissive and probably a little bit racist. I sat at a table after ordering drinks from her so we wouldn't have to deal with her. "Willie" (security) told me to complain to "Gabe" (another bartender) but he refused to even talk to me. This place is new to us. We come to St Augustine a could of times a year and there's always good food. We were worried when we saw the line outside but they actually seated us within 15 minutes. The decor is a very cool industrial style with old fashioned touches. We received excellent service from Tripp. The food was incredible, I loved the vegetarian Reuben sandwich and hubby enjoyed his Garden Guru. My husband had the deviled eggs with pork belly, red onion, goat cheese and a black berry jam,he said they were the Best eggs EVER. He also had the burger which you cannot go wrong with either. AGGRESSIVE STAFF MEMBER ASSAULTED A WOMAN I should start by saying I rarely ever write reviews. Something has to be beyond a terrible experience for me to take to social media/review outlets. In this case, I have never seen such a horribly handled situation that this restaurant deserves to have horrible reviews. I was there on May 3rd, 2019 and happen to be witness to a wedding party come in. We were all having a great time and dancing to a live band. During the band intermission, a member of the wedding party asked someone on the staff if they could make an announcement on the microphone. This staff member said it was fine. The young man delicately reached for the microphone to make announcement, realizing it was not on. Another staff member saw him attempting to put it back and yelled at him not to touch. The young man immediately put it down along with putting his hands in the air apologizing. It was clearly an honest miscommunication. Out of nowhere the security guard, Bear, came barreling through us on the dance floor. He kicked the man out, not without knocking myself & others around. The situation could have been done right then and there (although I think it was a little dramatic to kick this kid out but whatever). The bride & us on the dance floor who witnessed this, pleaded with Bear how sorry everyone was for the miscommunication. In response, Bear began SCREAMING violently and aggressively very vulgar words that are inappropriate to type here. It was honestly one of the craziest reactions I have ever seen to three young women apologizing for something. A man next to us then told Bear "alright man we don't need you either, we are leaving once we gather everyone, just relax." And to this Bear became enraged. He slammed the young mans glass right out of his hand and broke it all over his feet, and many others feet including my own. I had to pull glass out of my foot later. The wedding party immediately started getting out as this guy was clearly not in his right mind and danger to us all. As we were leaving Bear did not stop and continued screaming at us. He then PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED the bride,grabbed her neck, & broke her wine glass, spilling red wine all over her white dress. What was even more concerning about this is that staff did nothing. They shrugged and laughed as if it were funny that this man was breaking glasses in his own bar. As a security guard your job is to protect people and diffuse situations. You are supposed to prevent fights NOT start them. In short, I walked outside and stated we were leaving because we did not feel safe with that man working there. The bouncer at the door checking ID's said "yeah Bear can get a little carried away" I mean carried away!! That was the understatement of the year. This man screamed in women's faces, broke glass out of peoples hands and shattered them all over their feet, and physically assaulted a women. What an awful establishment for allowing someone like that to be hired. Do NOT recommend going here, as it is NOT safe with employees like that! I also hope whoever reads your social media takes this a little more seriously than the bouncer and hostesses who did nothing to protect people. read more
