    Beef suya meal box

Finally!!! I convinced my husband to pick up food for us! I was so excited! It's been on my must try list for some time! Service was fast and efficient! It's a food truck so ambiance was just as expected! Most importantly it was clean. So, we were a bit surprised by the cost but overall the quality and quantity were worth it! Everything was fresh and flavorful! The jollof isn't what we are use to BUT it's still very tasty! We're actually on our way back today for a couple of small pans to last us a couple of days. Thank you, Project Suya for being so good, I don't have to cook for a couple of days! Please stay true to what you all are doing! God bless!!!

A few weeks ago, I stopped by the food truck and ordered the Meal Box with rice, suya, and fried plantains, which turned out to be the perfect combination. The pepper sauce added a nice touch, and I also had the chance to meet the two brothers who own the business, both of whom were warm and friendly . It would be great if they have nice seating outside.

Smoky, spicy, tasty, & plentiful. STAMP!! Their Suya Beef ($25 beef slices dusted with Suya spice, & onions). Nicely grilled, spicy, & tasty!! STAMP!! Their Suya Wings ($25 a bowl of grilled wings dusted with Suya spice, & onions). Flavorful, tender, & spicy!! LIKE THAT! Their Jollof Rice ($10 with extra dry, & wet Suya spice). I discovered Project Suya in Bowie on TikTok and the food looked so good that I had to try it for myself. They operate as a food truck (at least the Bowie location does), and you can order for pickup or delivery. Delivery was about $24, which felt pricey considering I also live in PG County, so I chose pickup instead. I ordered the meal pan ($25) with suya, plantain, and jollof rice. They package your order in a nice bag with a small water and a can of soda. My soda was unfortunately flat. The rice had a rich smoky flavor that really stood out, and the plantain was soft and flavorful. The suya was not bad, but I wish it had been a little more tender. The ordering system could use some improvement. I received a text saying my order was received, but after an hour I never got a follow-up text saying it was ready. I ended up calling and was told it was. When I arrived, it seemed like my order was not in the system, but the young lady on the truck pulled it together quickly, which I appreciated. No ambiance sit was a truck. Overall, the food was tasty and worth trying, but the ordering process felt confusing and could be smoother.

A waste of $54. This is my second time here, hoping the food would be better. Last time the food was okay. This time it was worse. I got a small suya and chicken for $54 worth of very bland food. I asked for no spice, no peppers. I didn't ask for flavorless food. There's no ambiance because it's a food truck. They did bring the food to my car so that was nice service.

    Not worth the money

I work in dc but live in Maryland. A coworker of mine ordered the project suya from the dc location and it was amazing. Which made me think that this one from Bowie would be the same. But mine it just seemed like they the gave me the fattiest part, came with so much fat on the meat and it doesn't even taste like the dc flavor. I know the meat coming cold is not their fault but I had to warm it up in the oven hence the picture I'm using. If you zoom in all u see if fatty parts.

So, it was a no-brainer to choose them as the venue for our wedding's welcome party. The pricing was very reasonable for such a large space and served as the bar tab for all our guests. We opted for in-house catering, and the pizza and wings were delicious as always. The staff was super accommodating and wonderful, making the food service, bar, and audio/visual a smooth experience. Our guests had an absolute blast and it was a great way to introduce so many of the people in our lives to one of our favorite Maryland institutions. Thank you Crooked Crab!

Welcoming and friendly even when I tried to order at the bar instead going to the place at the end to order as the sign clearly states. Sorry I was born in Wisconsin. The wood fired Meat Lovers Pizza was tasty and enough for two. We had a pretzel order and the mustard was spot on. Our beer choice was Stringray Mysterio a very good stout. Also myself the navigator needed and wanted a Mead. So Pina Colada Crush was a perfect choice. We both loved the decor and vibes. The pizza oven which was a crab design was cute but I thanked the men preparing the outstanding pizza. All the staff were fantastic.

There was like a tangy sauce on the tuna which took away from the flavor of the fish and for $22 I was expecting something a bit more. They usually have reservations and larger parties, but it's a pretty open/communal space, so there aren't typically issues with seating. All in all, a great spot for many occasions.

I am not much of a beer drinker so was happy to see they had some cocktail options. I ordered the Blackberry mule. It was just the right amount of sweetness in my opinion. My friend got a flight- their favorite was the Udder Chocolate with Boats and Hose as the runner up. I wasn't originally planning to get food but could not help myself when I saw they had a Chicago style hotdog. It was tasty despite being a bit of a mess to eat with the topping piled high. It comes with a side of kettle cooked chips that somehow managed to be just as good, maybe even better than the hot dog. The bartenders were pleasant and efficient with checking in on us and clearing plates as needed.
