Ben is a great guy. I went in there today to pick up a vacuum secondary diaphragm for my 4160, and not only did he give me a much better deal than I was expecting, but he also helped me install it. He spent a good amount of time with me, figuring out the "quick change" kit that Holley had sent me because I was having trouble, and we eventually discovered it was defective! I ordered parts from here direct.. good quality fuel lines, metering plates/ block and base plate... issue is the customer service and the delivery... was told I would receive the fuel lines and metering block and base plate in a week but two weeks passed till I got a email with my tracking number .. now for metering block was told a week to have it prepared since it's made to order it's been 17 days and no call back or update on my order after leaving voicemails during business hours and sending emails... with any business I would expect at least a email with a update, there was a car show I needed to attend which now do to the lack of communication I will not to be able to attend... I do not recommend to anyone who is on a time frame.. they are just not reliable.. read more

I had a very good experience with Ben at Promax. I asked him to install a Magnaflow exhaust and a cold air intake. I looked up the prices he charged me for parts and the mark-up was very small or non existing since the prices I saw may not have included shipping. I expect a guy to be paid for his expertise in ordering and was pleasantly surprised how small the mark up was. The install took exactly how long he said, and he charged me exactly what he said he would. He took the time to talk to me and learn what my objective for the job was and adjusted the work accordingly. I did not want the car to be "too loud" and he gave me exactly what I wanted. Ben is truly knowledgeable about carburetors and performance! My uncle and I began a project with his 1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda. The car is 50 years old and had not run in about 10 - 12 years. It has 3 Holley 2-barrel carburetors. Plumbing fuel lines for these is not an easy task. Promax makes a kit that connects all 3 carburetors to the fuel feed. The kit fits perfectly and does not leak!!!! We had previously tried stainless steel fuel lines as well as a kit made by Earl's (Holley). The stainless-steel lines were very rigid and leaked at the joints and the Earl's kit did not fit (Holley is recalling hundreds of them). We wish we had started with Promax!!! We had a shipping delay; however, this was the fault of USPS, not Promax. Ben was extremely diligent and helped us track our package and followed up with us even after it was delivered. I'm not sure how he stays in business and hasn't gotten hurt for screwing people around on such large amounts of money. After paying half upfront to build an engine and rebuild a transmission, Ben at Promax either avoided me or lied to me everytime i tried to talk to him. He gave me the runaround for months. I usually had to just show up to speak to him. After 8 months he still hadn't done anything at all to my motor. I literally had to threaten him to get my money back. He's a thief and a liar. There are much better options in Indy for carbs,engine building and giving your money away. read more

This is the worst engine business iv ever used. I had them refresh and add an efi to an already built 507ci mopar BB. it took them 7 months, 2 and a half longer than i asked. Once I got the engine back it leaked oil out of ever were had to pull it back out and found that they had bent my oil pan and forgot to re install my windge tray(witch i had to get back form them). the worst part is the engine was suppose to be dynoed with the new efi. It did not make the power it was suppose to and did not run worth a crap when I got it. spent a month undoing there screw ups and got no support from them at all. Do not go here for an engine I've herd they do ok work on carbs but after what i have been throw I would not mention there name unless to tell someone not to go there read more
