They said an electrical permit and an electrician would be required -- true, if it is a NEW installation. The extra $450 made me balk. I just found out he left a message on Yelp for me requesting we talk about the questions. Without the answers to the questions I couldn't compare his estimate to the other estimates as an "apples to apples" comparison. The questions: - does the price include all permits - does the price include all taxes - does the price include removal & disposal of the old AC unit & clean up after installation It's unfortunate because with more information I may have gone with him, though one issue I had is that the 10 year warranty offered included only parts, not parts and labor.
