Lexington is a college and horse show town, but most of the people who ACTUALLY live here are simple and kind, meanwhile the travelers are stuck up. This location has been rude on multiple occasions. I ordered a pink drink today. They made it wrong (it wasn't even pink), so I brought it back to get a new one. It's their policy that they will remake drinks that aren't made correctly. They gave me a drink only 2/3 of the way full. They said they can't fill the cup all the way if the drink has light ice. I've gotten drinks with light ice for years and have never had this problem. They refused to fill my drink. I always leave this location disappointed read more

For such an expensive place, it would be nice to say the drinks were good.... unfortunately that's not the case. I've been burned one too many times here. My last drink literally tasted like there was no coffee in it, and Im actually convinced that AT MAX it had one shot. Oooooooh boy. This one's not ready for prime time yet. Lexington, VA is, amongst other things, a horse show town. Horse show people start early, and need caffeine. So we were all so excited to see a Starbucks here! Except... after placing an online order on day one of the show only to find the store wasn't open on time, we then came back three. more. times. to try and pick up said order. Store not open, and staff super rude about it. Day two? Not open on time. Day three? Nope, also not open on time, though at least by then they'd shut down the online order option. And by day three the staff inside the closed store weren't even making eye contact with the people outside or answering questions about when they thought they'd be open. Starbucks corporate, it's long past time to intervene here. This store will make you scads of money if, you know, it was remotely functional. Thank god they're building a Dunkin... read more

Very inconsistent, about a 50% chance you will get mildly flavored hot water. Beyond disappointed. Don't have the time to go back point out the problem. I'd be a 2x per week at least customer if it actually tasted like tea/coffee. read more

Working at a local coffee shop, you learn the importance of good customer service and this particular Starbucks needs a good lesson in that. They don't say "hi" when you walk in the door and they won't even acknowledge you until you've been sitting at the register for a couple of minutes. I have to agree Jessica K on this past Sunday , I waited inside for 45 minutes for a Coffee and London fog tea.. people galore waiting longer than I.. yes one girl with bad attitude it seemed liked she enjoyed PO'd customers but other 3 working the best they could with short staff! I'm from the mid-west never have I ever waited more than 10 min with a short staff and yes need to step it up here with better service! Thanks to the gal with long dark hair pulled back at least saying thank you for the wait..she was the only that Acknowledge this..the girl smirked about it! More than half hour waiting with kids in drive thru....plenty folks waiting inside the same amount of time and longer. It's not good to see that...I have never seen wait times of this length at Starbucks ever before. Not to mention, they never have food left once it's your turn, and on 10/27 they put up signs that they are out of ALL pumpkin for the season. Halloween hasn't even happened yet! What the heck? The owner or whoever is in charge of this location needs to do a far better job prioritizing customers and their time over profits. Today after our long visit, I end up without any coffee because they are out of not only pumpkin but all the fall flavors as well, and my toddler got a dry bagel in a baggie without any cream cheese or topping of any kind. When I went inside to advise of this and the issues (mind you people inside told me they were waiting over an HOUR for their orders) the employee barely looked at me (she did have an attitude) and she didn't offer an ounce of empathy or customer support, not even a small apology...she just turned to a fridge, grabbed a cream cheese pack and handed it to me. The store was packed with people in the same boat, none with their orders complete. I understand employees can get swamped and it's not their fault that corporate doesn't support them. So someone need to figure something out here for this site. It's the worst one I've ever been to, especially coming from major cities. This would shutter in days in any metro area... Needless to say, we live here and our family will not be returning unless things change and reviews turn up. And yes I really hate to leave a bad review but I would hate even more seeing others wait the same way or pay for crappy service or poorly-made drinks and foods. My advice: skip the trouble and go to Nelson or Main Street for coffee. Or go to Road Map - probably the best coffee in town, honestly, even if it's a few minutes further down the road. Support small businesses instead and those that care for their clientele. It's just plain sad. Ordered two drinks - iced blonde vanilla latte and a peppermint mocha. The ice was melted and the milk tasted bad. The mocha tasted burnt. I waited in line for 45 minutes for 3 cars in front of me. The interior of the location is what you would expect. Last time I willingly go to this one. read more

Never sure when the store will be open. On numerous occasions the store was not open during posted hours. One day an online order was accepted when the store was closed and frequently when the store is open, online orders are not available. Not knowing when the store will be open is frustrating enough, but when a staff member is rude, it makes the experience shocking and unacceptable. Have visited Starbucks throughout the United States and a few in Europe, this store is about the worst. Overall, this particular store seems to be mismanaged. read more

This is literally the most unreliable Starbucks Ive ever frequented. They seen to always find reasons to close early. Don't waste your money! I've given this location too many tries to be good because I'm limited to the few food/drink options we have in lex. Lexington finally got a Starbucks and everything I've had has been horrible. My drinks never taste like coffee. I'll get a white mocha or blonde vanilla latte or any drink really and the drink tastes watered down or just flat. I'm not sure if it's their milk products or coffee, but it's bad. If I can, I stop in Charlottesville to get the same drink I would get at the Lexington location, and the drink would taste completely different. read more

With a brand new opening and the holidays upon us you expect some slow service, but NO service is another matter. We were asked if we were ready, but were still deciding which meant to the barista that we no longer existed. To be fair, he was training someone new, but all it takes is a quick " are you ready now", take our order, and go back to training. Good thing we have a local coffee joint that was able to serve us quickly (even while training someone) and a new Dunkin opening soon. Starbucks as a whole normally is in your face the minute you walk in, but this location has a number of things to work out to remain a viable coffee option long term. On a positive note, the use of an old bank building is a step in the right direction to utilize existing buildings! read more
