It might not shine in NHP but it certainly is better than a slice by me in Woodbury. We ordered for an event and it was so good. Every single flavor. I was really impressed by the pepperoni slice they put a lot of meat and the pepperoni formed cups :) also the mushroom, pepper, and olive slice was delicious. Sausage slice good as well, and I heard the veggie slice was outstanding as well. Plain and margarita slices were good too. The crust was bubbly and looked like brick oven. And the garlic knots-you have to get it. They definitely put the garlic on it. And the dough is so delicious and comes with plenty of sauce. It even tastes good without the sauce. There is a sit down area with white tablecloths and probably service. Will be back to try more! I hope they open up more out east. read more

I had eaten here when the were Angoletta years ago. It was good. I recently had occasion to join family twice for dinner. The food is delicious and plentiful. The service is top notch. Came here for dinner and had a good experience. We ordered the mozzarella sticks, fresh mozz and fried zucchini for appetizers and everything was very yummy. For an entree, I got a chicken parm with vodka sauce and it was great! Super flavorful and HUGE portions. Definitely come hungry. The service could have been slightly faster but staff was friendly and easy to get a hold of. The space itself is nice and not too loud which I appreciate so I don't feel like I have to scream when talking to people. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll be coming back. read more

This is now called pronto Pizza by Umberto's, the place is clean. Looks like it was just renovated. I had to Buffalo chicken slice, which was a bit heavy but a big slice and a chicken Caesar slice. The chicken was shaved very thin almost like a Gyro not a great slice, I wish him luck. Looks like they have a lot of specials for during the week. read more

I can't say enough good things about Pronto. My family and I have been there about 12 times over the past year. The food is consistently delicious....the servings very generous. And best of all is the service. Every employee I've interacted with has been genuinely friendly, warm and welcoming. They go out of their way to accommodate every request and insure you're having a great experience. Also, I find the prices very reasonable and very good value for the quality and quantity of the dishes. Truly a little neighborhood gem. I wish I lived closer...I'd be there every week. read more

Very good pizza - specially the grandmas. This is a regular for pizza but we went for dinner last night. I had minestrone soup. It was good but a heavy taste of potato. Ordered a meatball parm sandwich, chicken parm sandwich, and cheesecake. The sandwiches were good (although the chicken parm had some meatball in it), but the cheesecake was really upsetting. It was a little burnt and grainy. Unfortunately the restaurant was unwilling to do anything in response as they found the other slices looked good and said they tasted it and it was fine. If you're craving some really good Margherita Pizza, this is not the place to get it. The pizza looks good in the picture, but the sauce is extremely sour and acidic. Pizza has been reasonable in flavor. Sometimes the pricing is consistent. A couple of weeks ago I placed an order to go. The young lady took my order and money. She told the expediter the order and he acknowledged. Unfortunately he was so wrapped up with his sport conversation with another customer. He decided not to actually put my order in the oven. After a couple of customers who ordered after received their food and left I inquired about my order. His reply was "Oh what do you want". now that my entire lunch has been used waiting for nothing I told the young lady he never put in my order, I have to go, keep it as a tip. As I was leaving this 15 year old yells something at me while I walked out. (Do not know how old he is just judging age by attitude). Before writing this review I did contact the restaurant first. Tues., Sunday and Tuesday are pasta nights where they have a special. Just had food delivered from Angoletto's Cafe in NHP as I was eating my dinner I checked out the receipt, I ordered chicken Parmesan with a Caesar salad & my husband had chicken Marsala with a salad, on the check was an open food item for $3.50 I called to see what the item was & they said it was additional charge for the Caesar salad with the chicken Parmesan & never once mentioned this to me when I was ordering & also an additional charge of $0.45 for marinara sauce with garlic knots & again was not mentioned on the menu it says dinner entrees came with penne, spaghetti or salad, nothing about an up charge for a Caesar salad or marinara sauce, just don't like hidden fees shame on them. I think it should be a courtesy to the customer to let them know upfront about the hidden charges read more

Pizza place / restaurant. Angoletto's has been sitting on the corner of New Hyde Park road and Hillside Ave for a long time. The pizza is always fresh and hot and very good overall. They are owned by the same group that owns Umberto's in New Hyde Park so you know the pizza is good. There are tables in the front half for more "informal" seating - grab a slice and down it with a soda and be back on your way, or they also have a dining room in back that can also be used for private functions. They have a full menu as well as the pizzas but in my opinion the prices are a bit steep. Parking is available in the front in a teensy tiny lot. read more

We've been to this local pizzeria /restaurant a number of times. Went on Monday so my wife could get one of her favorite pasta dishes for her birthday. We didn't realize, but on Monday they have a special that any chicken dish on the menu is discounted and includes a salad and dessert. Bonus! The service was prompt, friendly and helpful. My wife's pasta was just what she expected and the chicken dishes were all very good. This is a solid restaurant with their regular menu, the special offer made it a bargain. Although there are plenty of places to get pizza around here, its actually hard to find one that makes a great pie..... Angoletto's never disappoints. Their traditional NY pie is one of our favorites. Great flavor, cooked perfectly, and the crust is always just right. I ordered a margarita pie made with fresh mozzarella only, it is quite delicious! One of my favorite toppings is roasted red peppers. The Grandma pie is good, but I preferred a slightly thinner crust. I go here for one thing. They make a brocolli rabe and grilled chicken sandwich, that is in my Top Ten Sandwiches I've ever had.
