I have rental property. The tub I had looked like it had been in a war zone. That was the case until I called Pronto Refinish. Fabio does amazing work!!! He was very professional and made my disgusting tub look brand new. I didn't have to worry about any clean up. He protected everything in my bathroom and cleaned up any mess he may have made when he left. There are far too many other refinishing companies that you should give your business to. Two weeks ago Lori at Pronto had to reschedule me because she stated they had a bigger job at a hotel and they were too busy. I agreed, however she couldn't reschedule me until 2 weeks later for a weekend. I am about to have a baby and am having guests stay - so it would have been nice to have the work done. Today was the rescheduled appointment date, between 9-10. NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED. I prepped and scrubbed the area (OH, because by the way, they want YOU to clean the area properly for them) Mind you, I am 9 months pregnant! I covered and cleaned the entire bathroom per their instruction sheet. Scrubbed the tub. I finally received a call at about 10:30am stating that the workers van "broke-down" and was being towed. Yeah, sure. She asked to reschedule yet again. Sounds like an excuse for their no-show. Once you agree to reschedule, they think you are a sucker and will put you on the back-burner if a bigger job comes up for them. I asked her if she could send someone else instead, she said she would call me back. I waited an hour and had to call HER back. She said she still had no one. That they were all in Santa Clarita at a hotel job and they were very busy. Which contradicts the broken van excuse. I have my in-laws coming in next week and cannot reschedule yet again. I honestly think we were simply not big or important enough for them and they let the other bigger job take precedence over us. Just don't hire them. Save yourself the trouble. read more

WOW. What a difference a new look can make. Fabio was wonderful in helping us select the perfect colors to compliment our kitchen and bathroom. He explained the complete process and steps needed to prepare for the work, and how to take care of the finish after the work. But the real surprise was Danny, the technician who did the work. His preparation in fixing broken tiles, filling in broken grout, and preparing surfaces was remarkable. Also, the covering of furniture, protecting appliances and taping work that they did was impressive. Danny is a skilled craftsman who is attentive to details. The time an care that he did in applying the finish was commendable. The results were impressive. I especially liked the fact that they applied extra finishing coats on the areas of high usage (kitchen sink, cook-top and table top areas). We pursued Pronto Refinish to do a reglazing of our tub and enclosure. Carrie promptly replied to my inquiry email for an estimate and answered my questions with expertise. She sent Fabio out to do a free estimate. The price to peel the old glaze and reglaze was reasonable and on par with other estimates we received. Fabio arrived for the estimate on time. I was impressed with his interest in doing a high quality job and he even offered to replace a few hardware parts and add a nonslip surface to the floor of the rub (for our little kids) at no cost (the nonslip surface is free per company policy). I booked the appointment the week of Thanksgiving and was given a date to get the job done less than a week later. Fabio even offered to come on a weekend to do the work but we opted out. Fabio arrived on time to our first appointment and was very friendly. He removed the original glaze and applied a treatment to kill mold that he found under the old silicon. He left and returned the next day to apply the glaze. Each day he spent about 2-3 hours on the job. On the third day he returned, again, on time to put on the finishing touches. The tub and enclosure look amazing. He reminded me more than once of the company's 5 year warranty and encouraged me to use it if ever need be. The only reason they get four rather than five stars is because on day two my husband and I left the house while Fabio was spraying. He asked us to be back by 2:00pm, however he finished around 1:15. He tried calling me a few times but I didn't have my phone on me. He ended up leaving our house unlocked to go to another appointment. Thankfully nothing went awry...but it was kind of upsetting (we quickly got over it). Overall, this is a great company and one I'd recommend to friends and family. read more

I loved my entire experience with this company!!! The minute I called to get pricing and information a very professional woman named Carrie answered all my questions and followed up with an email confirmation with a lot of other information I needed. We scheduled the appointment and they HAPPILY worked around my busy schedule which I appreciated. Fabio arrived all smiles and completed the job in the exact amount of time I was told he would do so. Very friendly, courteous and professional. I found a tiny imperfection (I admit I am completely picky) and asked if they could come out and fix it. I was met with nothing but kindness and once again professionalism. Fabio showed up all smiles again and it took him 30 minutes to fix it. I want to give them the praise they deserve because not being from LA I expect professionalism when I am paying for a job. Unfortunately companies like this are a rare find and I am usually met with rude people who choose NOT to be accountable for their laziness or attitudes. I am writing this with two different points of view. The technician, Donny, was great, timely, efficient, and completed excellent work. The customer service however in booking the appointment was challenging. The female was rude, promised things that could not happen, and was hard to get a return call. They also had be re-booking me scheduled appointment three times. I even reached out to the owner however I never received a reply. read more

"Pronto" definitely does not mean quick with this company. Initially I emailed this company for a quote. They got back to me the next day with a comparable price and 2 possible days, which both worked for me. Unfortunately by the time I received the email, I had to wait until the next day to call. When I called them to schedule a time to come to my house to reglaze my tub the 2 time slots were already gone. I told Carrie on the phone that those were the only 2 times that worked for me as I needed to get this project done before the weekend (my floors were getting done). She informed me that she would be able to rearrange another client and squeeze me in for the following day. I was very much pleased. She told me that a technician would arrive between 12 and 2. The next day, I arrived at my barren rental unit with my 2 young kids and waited and waited, and waited. At about 1:30 I began phoning Carrie to ask if she knew when exactly the technician would arrive as I could run a few errands in the meantime. No answer. I called again and again and again. No answer. At about 3:00.... 3 hours after waiting, I left a note on my door and left. I tried calling the company all afternoon and nothing. I left several messages and nothing. So... the next morning, I call again. Carrie answers and I ask her what happened. She stated that the technician was not able to come out and there was a scheduling conflict. They would be willing to give me a 10% discount and they were very sorry. REALLY?? She stated that she would be able to have a technician come out on Saturday (which they normally do not do). I couldn't for my original reason as I was getting my hardwood floors done over the weekend. I told Carrie I was going to leave a bad review for this company and she said it wasn't fair for me to do so as she was trying her best to accommodate me. She continued to argue with me when I told her that the consumer has the right to know about this and I would never promote this type of business. She continued to argue with the fact that she was doing her best to meet my needs... but see? she missed the mark... the damage was already done! A courtesy phone call in the morning letting me know there was a conflict in scheduling would have solved all this. I would have said thank you for your efforts, and called another company. But to not show and make a customer wait 3 hours for a technician that was never coming in the first place? That's bad business. read more

First off the guy was 45 minuets late. Had to leave to go and get material. They did a poor job with several drips and just a general poor appearance. We had to leave our house for 3 days as it was our only shower. They scheduled to come out and fix it. The day came and they blew us off saying they had a job at a hotel that they were stuck on. The second time we were scheduled the guy had his sprayer stolen and could not get out. They refused to send someone else out to fix the original persons mistakes refinishing the tub. After trying to reschedule a third time. The lady on the phone was rude and had a hard time understanding we were staying at a hotel so we would have a shower. We couldn't keep rescheduling. The lady seemed frustrated with the situation but could do nothing to resolve the situation. There are plenty of other company's that will appreciate the business not treat you like a burden. The 4th time rescheduling was a no show. We called and the owner called us back and sent someone. read more

We were blown away with the results from Pronto. Our apartment had a very old and chipping tub and separate shower. We didn't even use the tub. My experience with Pronto Refinish was great. Fabio and Luis were courteous, caring about my space, and extremely detail oriented in every part of the job. With their re-surfacing process, I will never have to worry again about grout mold, which makes me so happy - living by the beach. You can't use scrubbing cleansers and brushes with this re-finish but if you remember to ONLY use "Simple Green" to clean, the tub and tiles will stay in great shape for years to come. They also have a five year guarantee, which is a big plus. I recommend this company. read more

We had a problem with drips, after first visit to reglaze tub. The office then sent Fabio and team over to fix it, and they were great. Unfortunately in my enthusiasm to set the room to rights, I took off the plastic protectors on showerhead, and drops of water spattered over the still not-dry surface. My fault totally. Am sure they will come and repair that when I call. So, good ratings. Advice: have an early in day appointment because light is better. read more

This company did an outstanding job of refinishing my bath tub, shower, sinks and countertops. The sinks had very deep cracks in them which had turned black and were impossible to clean. Fabio, my Contractor, removed layer upon layer of cracks. They were filled in and sanded smooth. Then a beautiful stone finish was applied. The result is gorgeous and the color is perfect. The tub and shower stall are now shiny white and they look brand new. The price was very reasonable for all the work that was done. read more

Pronto means quick, right. So don't get fooled by the name of this company because it is nothing but pronto. They defaulted twice on their appointment schedule. First excuse was the technician had a problem with his car but when I spoke to the technician he told me that the owner did not put the work on his schedule??? He promised me to come the next day and guess what the next day he was MIA again. Still have not heard back from them but I am not gonna waist anymore time with this unreliable company. read more

I had my bath and tiles painted with pronto refinish the staff where nice enough but about TWO MONTHS after the painting I started noticing cracking in the paint, it was where the bath meets the tiles and around the plug, I called the firm and they sent someone out to repair this, a technician came and told me the person painting it should have sealed it before painting the bath and thats what had caused the problem, the technician fixed the areas that where cracked it had only been a couple of months since it was originally painted and it had not cracked yet all the way along the side of the bath, so as the months pass the areas the technician never repaired start to crack also, I decided to waited a year so the other non sealed parts could crack then it could all be repaired in one job, so I get the repair guy here thinking he is going to paint the cracked area like the previous guy did, but the technician gets a tube of silicone sealent puts it over the cracks and says this is normal for California the earth shifts, I am a bit unhappy I could have done that myself and I believe this is related to the previous problem not the earth shifting. The previous technician who came resealed and repainted the cracked areas. I feel this new approach was a like a bandage it was quick and easy for the technician but my gut tells me it could have been done better. read more

I have to say the best part of this experience was dealing with Favio. He is very diligent, respectful and quick. He protects everything around the area being refinished and makes sure everything is clean by the time he and his team leave. I had my bathtub, bathroom sink, and kitchen counter tops and sink refinished and the result is pretty fantastic. I had this pretty horrible yellow sink and yellowish tiles on the kitchen countertop, and my bathroom was...80's pink. You do have to be careful to make the finish last, but it is something you would do with any type of surface anyway. We will most likely redo the kitchen and bath in the future, but for a fraction of the cost, we bought a few more years while we save enough to tackle the renovation we want. Overall, I am pretty happy. The reason why I am giving it 4 stars only is because I am still waiting to get that letter with the guarantee and my receipt (the job was completed at the beginning of February and I still haven't received my invoice and written guarantee as promised). read more

Worst company ever. Do not use them even if they pay you to use them. I am serious. I scheduled an appointment with Laurie (?) over the phone for Sunday between noon and 1pm. I explained to her that I have a newborn son and a distressed wife I will have to leave at the hospital in order to wait at the house. She assured me someone would be there at that time. Well, I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Nothing. No one showed. My calls and email were not returned. I can never get that time back with my newborn son. I wish someone could have at least extended the courtesy of contacting me to let me know I was waiting in vain. My wife could have used the help. Terrible, terrible company. Please do not employ this company's services. Use anyone else. I would have given zero stars if this site allowed for it. read more

We have used Pronto twice now in a very old house (in Redondo Beach) refinishing both an old claw tub and a small sink. We were so happy with the way the tub worked out that we had them come back and refinish the sink. Scheduling was easy and they showed up on time for both jobs and took even a little less time than estimated. We'd use them again without hesitation. read more

Beware, and know what you WON'T get from this company! The customer service is as bad as the work they do. Pronto doesn't re-glaze your sink, they spray a rough-textured rubberized topcoat on the surface. Your sink will not be slick and shiny, like porcelain. Ours looked and felt like the bottom of a gym shoe. Furthermore, their promised three-year warranty is worthless: seven months after their installer "reglazed" my double sink, the left sink's surface began to crack in a horizontal line away from the drain opening. When we called and asked about the warranty, they were very hard to get hold of, but we persisted. After a week of calling, we finally reached Carrie at Pronto; she claimed we had invalidated our warranty by using a mat to protect the sink but quoted us the fee "to come out and look at it." The "instructions" she emailed were for the care of a TUB, not a sink, and specifically prohibited using a mat with suction cups. We didn't; the rubberized non-slip shelf-liner I cut to fit the sink had no suction cups, but Pronto still wouldn't live up to their warranty. Because the sink finish was peeling up in sheets, like naugahyde -- ugly, and not sanitary! -- we eventually decided the $250 we paid to Pronto for bad work was a loss, and called another company. That guy just left, and our sink is shiny and sparkling white, genuinely re-glazed -- and he did it in a quarter of the time Pronto's man took! To sum up, Pronto is remarkably consistent: the people on the phone are rude -- when you can get to them at all -- the work is deficient, poorly done with falsely-labeled materials, and their three-year warranty is a sham. We threw away $250 by believing their claims. We're trying to save you that expense and frustrating experience. Call another company instead. read more
