We have been happy Propane Northwest customers for almost a decade. They consistently have shown quality work and offered many helpful suggestions over the years. They provide a safety check upon each visit. I have never run out of fuel, even when it snows. The customer service is excellent from all the employees I have spoken with either in person or by phone. Drivers are courteous and hard working, every time. For those concerned about costs also understand what you receive. A home grown, clean energy source, which is abundant here in our country. No more financially supporting unfriendly nations. I have 2 - 120 gallon tanks, one for heat & cooking and one for a gas grill. They now offer a new service where you pay for what you use on a specific cycle so it is also budget friendly. These are the only people I trust with my heating and cooking needs. read more

They made an arbitrary, unrequested, unauthorized delivery to my vacation home in South Bend. When I called an attendant (Ms. Carbone) she admitted the error and said she would have a manager call me. After 3 weeks with no contact I called them again, spoke to the same person and she promised to have a manager call me to resolve the issue. Manager "Joanne" called me and was extremely rude and knew nothing of the situation. I asked her to have Ms. Carbone brief her, review the file and call me back. She never did. Instead several weeks later my neighbor informed me they had removed my tank, and left the lines hanging, stealing my remaining inventory in the process. I called and was referred to District Manager "Kelly" who did not help and said "Georgia" at corporate collections would call me. That never happened either.....a pretty harsh way to treat a customer with an 800+ credit rating who has literally never paid a bill late once in his entire life. They are not a locally owned company as their website proclaims and it is seemingly not possible to get a hold of a reasonable person who cares about their reputation or the way they treat their customers. Absolutely appalling customer service! I called to get a refill and the prices have gone through the roof $4.09 a gallon!! I was then treated horribly by Raquel because I'm "only a renter" when I began to inquire about how to get the cost down. I understand I rent but when I explained I wanted to get the information together for my landlord so I can give her all the information, I was beyond dismissed. This is no way to treat someone who has been a client for 6 plus years. PS it's gross to charge humans differently because they rent, we shouldn't have to be screwed over and pay an outrageous cost. Shame on you, train your people better, there is a reason your score is so low. read more

Propane Northwest is absolutely an unethical company to do business with. I switched over to them, thinking I would get a better price on propane. Wrong! What they advertise, is not what you get. On April 2025, I was charged $4.35 per gallon of gas. For 63.5 gallons I was charged $323. they charged me a Fuel recovery fee of $9.99,A Hazmat delivery fee of $14.99 and 6.5% state tax. I called my previous supplier of propane and I asked them what they would have charged me. They said with tax the amount would have cost you $212. A $111 difference. My previous provider told me that they do not charge a deliver fee or recovery fee and their price for gas had just dropped another 20 cents, well under $3.00. BYW, the other company who I will be doing business with is called Peak Propane. Massively over charging customers!!!! read more

if I could leave ZERO stars I would. this company scams families. I paid over $500 to fill up with propane and my tank was empty after 30 days. I could smell propane leaking. I called the technician came out and he declared the tank unsafe due to a leak and disconnected it from the house. the next day another tech comes out, fixes the leak and proceeds to tell me there was no leak and the tanks good to go now (they did not want to be at fault for a leaky tank that is leased through them) technician tells me to talk to "bill b." and that I will get a significant price adjustment due to the unfortunate circumstances. they lied, never adjusted price. charged me another $500 including a $100 empty fee... the tank is empty because your tank was faulty and leaky. I will never use them again. F YOU Propane Northwest. read more

After 21 years with Propane NW we find their service and reliability only mediocre. Yes, they deliver propane, usually when they say they will but the quality of their drivers leaves much to be desired and so does the constant turnover. In addition, the standing instructions given to the drivers seem to get lost in the constant churn of new personnel. We often have to instruct the drivers where our tanks are located, although we've told the home office multiple times. We also have to repeatedly tell new drivers to back down our driveway. Today, we had a driver (another new guy) come down the driveway straight ahead. When I told him he was supposed to have backed in, he said he'd walked the property and planned to exit via our circular drive. Of course he can't do this because the exit part is way too narrow. That's why we ask drivers to back down. He ended having to do a very tight three point to get out. Do you suppose he'll relay that to the home office? Bet me. In addition, while filling one tank, he left his hose draped over several shrubs. The only reason we're still with these clowns is that we're leasing a tank from them and can't afford to buy it. Who knows? This may be the typical level of service in this business but I hope not. read more

Their original price for propane was at or slightly below market. However, over time the price gradually increased to 2.99/gallon. When I saw my last bill I finally decided to look at competing prices. I found market prices ranging from $1.99 to $2.35. I called the company to complain, and they basically said, "no problem, I'll price match". So, the price of my 178 gallon delivery went from $2.99 to $1.99 just for calling them. That's $178 for a delivery! I do strongly appreciate their willingness to price match. However, I also strongly resent the price creeping. I don't know how much I've overpaid in the last couple of years, but I'm guessing a lot. So, I DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY to maintain good pricing over time. Their business model seems to be to gouge the customer until he screams. Then when he complains give back decent pricing. It probably also includes a new set of gradual price rises until I notice it and complain again. I would much rather deal with a company that offers good pricing, and one that offers that same pricing to all their customers. MAYBE this is the industry practice for propane, but I doubt it. If it is, watch your back and check market pricing every 6 months at a minimum. read more

I have never had such a poor experience for such a simple job. Steve their service tech not only was rude but rushed the install which caused him to forget pieces. Then quoted me the wrong price by $800. Watch out these people with nickel and dime you by telling you need things and need to pay multiple service fees instead of doing it in all one professional install. read more

There are several propane delivery companies in the area that refuse to hire professional drivers and this is one. They may stay on your driveway if in the mood or may drive through flower beds and over plants. And service is awful. You order on line and no confirmation, no call back, nothing. You have to call in to one of their rude staff to see if they got your order. And if there is an emergency and you call their emergency number no one picks up. There are no responsible adults managing this company. read more

After reading some of the reviews I am so very surprised because I have received excellent service from this company so far. They are very busy but they still met the time frame promised to drop the tank at my 100 year old home that we are restoring and maintaining. We've just experience the worst customer service ever!!! We called for propane and the person that answered the phone was lack luster at best. We realize snow is an issue and unfortunately we did not check our tank the week prior. However I don't believe that gives the person to be excessively uncaring or sympathetic. I don't mean she had to gush over our dilemma however would it have killed her to be somewhat polite. We understood with the snow etc that there would be issues but her curt answers just turned us off. We scheduled a delivery and told her we would still check around and if we could get it sooner than 3WEEKS!! we would call back. Her answer was basically "whatever! Do what you need to do" and hung up. Will NEVER go back to them again. They just lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know about their customer service. read more

Miles Wiese installed two 500 gallon tanks on our farm several years ago. During the install he determined one of our old copper lines had reacted with our clay soil and become porous. He immediately brought in a smaller tank to keep the house warm as the ground was much too wet to excavate for a new line. We finally dug a new trench and Miles installed a brand new line and reconnected the 500 gallon tank. I called NW Propane last Friday to have the gas line disconnected while I installed an electrical line. Once again Miles came through for us and was here first thing Monday morning. Not only did he disconnect and reconnect and relight pilot lights but during the pressure check discovered a possible problem and efficiently replaced a suspect valve behind the range. We feel lucky to have a great relationship with Northwest Propane and particularly Miles Wiese who always comes through no matter how busy he is. read more

This company is unethical. They charge a rental fee for the propane tank they loan you but you never get a bill for it and then you get a phone call saying "this is the only notification you'll receive" that you owe them money! Really unethical and shady. read more

Where to begin...I requested a leased tank and service. They showed up on time and placed the tank, provided the regulator and flex line to connect and test the line with 12 gal in the tank. The service tech was great. But it was down hill from there. We requested them to supply enough propane to test an owned tank and existing service next door at my daughter's home. Different guys came and instead they filled the tank, failed to correctly test the line, didn't verify that the correct regulator was in place. About 30 gls leaked out in the crawl space due to higher pressure in the line than was supposed to be there. We requested a credit for 30 gals. The declined, saying it was our fault. Then they decided to preemptively remove the newly installed tank from my home, including the 12 gals still left. No explanation was given. Then they billed us for the initial install and the 12 gals they got back despite the new tank ever being filled or used. Their office staff is the most uneducated, rude, and worst examples of someone tasked with customer service I've ever experienced in my 40yr working career. They embody the epitome of service companies who have zero accountability for quality of the service they provide. My daughter's home could have literally exploded and they failed to even acknowledge their potentially catastrophic failure. Instead they're only response was...we're not going to do business with these folks. Read between the lines if this is a company you want to trust the safety of your home and family to. read more

Do not confuse this company for Northwest Propane. One of THE worst companies I have ever dealt with. They don't care one bit about your business unless you are a heavy user that's not inconvenient to get to. I used to deliver for them and it was really embarrassing to have to listen to the customer complaints all the time. I went to deliver to a long time customer in Darrington. As I backed into her driveway, she came out to greet me. I asked if she was out of propane. She said she was 2 weeks ago when she called. 2 weeks before that, when she was at 20% she called and was told that we didn't know when we would be able to get to her, so she went with someone else. I called my dispatch to verify this and was told that the company hadn't decided whether or not to keep servicing those customers because it was out of the way. I was flabbergasted. I don't think they realize that people who live "out of the way" are usually the ones who need propane. This is not the only case. They are consistently running out customers, both residential and commercial. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. The customer service was literally terrible. After a overly friendly first impression they were happy to charge my card for a $250 credit towards a tank. After not hearing from them for several weeks I felt I had to call them. I talked to Tyson who said I could not pick up my tank and that I now HAD to pay the $200 service install charge. I would NOT have bought the tank had I known this. He said it was not company policy but just 'his' policy. His policy that I pay. After several calls with him they scheduled an install date. I was assure Steve Faltysek was friendly and professional. This couldn't have been more from the truth. He rushed the entire install and was rude. Worst of all he charged me for a 1000 gallon tank and regulators he didn't install when I had only purchased a 250 gallon tank. A $800 'mistake' on the invoice. I wonder how often he 'forgets' which tank he just installed. After telling him he acted indigent that he had to rewrite the invoice, quite the inconvenience for him... He is no longer welcome at my property or at the homes of my family and friends. I would cancel my appointment if I knew he was the service technician coming out. I rather drive to the other side of the state to purchase my next tank than have any dealings with Propane Northwest. Poor customer service, poor conduct of business, and poor service technicians. They need to rethink their business plan and put the customer first instead of trying to charge them for things they didn't even purchase. read more

Very happy with Propane NW since making the switch on 11-17-17. Today one of the old tanks finally ran out of propane. Being a 3-day weekend I didn't feel I had much chance of a tech to connect the new tank and wasn't looking forward to no hot water, stove or heat. Miles came to my rescue within an hour and connected the new tank in seconds. This kind of customer service is remarkable in this day and age. Kudos to Propane NW and especially Miles who is always cheerful, helpful and professional, a refreshing change from the frustrations of the prior company. read more
