We returned from a trip to discover we ran out of propane. Friday after 4 - their closing time - we spoke with Justin. He determined we were not an emergency call out and a regular service call would be coming out the next day. He was polite and kind and we liked speaking with him about our problem. The next day Erik arrived at 10am and got to work. In addition to cleaning spiderwebs away, he not only filled our tank but made sure all of our appliances were working. Avoid. Started out 2 years ago great. Price was good and service was excellent. They asked me for a review and I gave them 5 stars. They got down my driveway without going off and knocked on the door to give me the bill. Then they started going off the driveway just a little and leaving the bill fastened to the garage door handle, Still ok but always some cleanup after a visit. Then they promised a delivery when my tank was low just before a cold snap and did not show. Then (last visit) they went 2' off the driveway and destroyed my rock garden. Excellent initial installation of tanks intended to supply backup generator. Customer service very responsive. Reasonable pricing for install, tank rental and as-needed propane delivery. HOWEVER, after three years of minimal demand for backup electrical power, and therefore no need to top up tanks, the company suddenly added a surcharge of $199 for every 18 months that no propane deliveries are made. This is unacceptable. Additional charges such as this are totally unexpected and were never part of the initial signed service agreement. read more

Worst customer service ever. They confirmed they received our payment, but sent a bill. When I called to discuss the person was rude and unwilling to note they received our payment. She said it's our problem they have trouble with our bank. I have called Get Jesse who stated they have received similar complaints. read more

Greg as well as Justin were so attentive to details to investigate the connections from my 1000 gal. tank to my 500 gal. tank to my on-demand Rinnai hot water heater. I so appreciate the time and care they took to see the connection problems, if any, and to make suggestions as to the best recourse for correction. Wonderful, concerned, respectful in every way. Greg had top notch service and Mackenzie was great over the phone the few times I called. It's been just over a year since I made the switch to Pacific Coast Energy and I am still amazed by this company. Today the delivery driver came out and checked our tank to make sure we had enough propane. They do this regularly. Wish I remembered the driver's name because he is probably the nicest most polite guy I've ever met. The owner delivered to us once too and he is the same way. We live on a small farm so they have to navigate several gates and do some hiking to get to the tank but they do it happily with a smile on their face always. Really. From the owner to the employees hands down the best customer service and quality of product out there. Speaking of quality, we notice our propane is cleaner....we have a 2 sided fireplace with lots of glass and with the previous propane company I was always cleaning it. With Pacific Coast Energy I can't even remember the last time I cleaned it and it looks great! Thank you Pacific Coast Energy! read more

Well, not a bad experience so far but communication could be better. We are putting in a propane fireplace and needed a tank. I previously researched pad sizes and locations so I poured a pad over a year ago to accommodate two 120 gallon tanks. When I initially called and left a message, or did it on their website, I explained everthing, that we wanted to buy the tank, and referenced if the pad dimensions would work. I received a call back from McKenzie and she quoted what everyone else was charging to purchase the tank so that was good and a little bit less than everyone else to install. She was very pleasant. I asked her if she could confirm the pad I poured would work for 2 tanks and she said she would get back to me after talking to a technician. She never got back to me. We finally bought an insert so we went to schedule the tank install with PCE. McKenzi still kept saying, so your leasing the tank and I would have to say no we are buying it. She still couldn't answer the pad question so luckily with who we purchased our fireplace from we had an email thread with everyone on it so I sent pictures of it and asked about the dimensions. I received a call from McKenzie to schedule installation of the tank. I asked her again, is my pad large enough for two tanks? She again had to say she would get back to me in that and that we were leasing the tank and again I had to remind her that we have never to once mentioned we wanted to lease the tank and give her the quotes she gave us. Needless to say because this will take forever to type we finally got our tank today. - I was never made aware that the tank comes with 12 gallons and they don't fill it at the time of install but at a later date to be figured out? - I was supposed to get a call before the installer arrived, that didn't happen. Also the funny part was she told me she would call the day before with the approximate time and what time she gave me was "early morning to early afternoon", not much of a time? - I just assumed I would pay for it when it was delivered but if you use a card I was told I have to call it in. Just let customers know what is going on and how it all works. The installer came and was good. Again my only concern at this point is communication. It seemed that every time I talked to McKenzie she didn't remember anything of what I asked. Also the last time she even read my number wrong to me and appreciated when I corrected the last number, but you called me, how did you have my number wrong? I called and gave her my card info. We will wait to have them fill it until after our insert is installed and connected just in case that guy needs to move it any. I hope she at least remembers that. I prefer to be home when anyone in on my property. read more

I ordered a tank on Monday. They came by Monday late afternoon and switched out Ferrell Gas's Old tank. Super nice customer service on the phone; Aaron who switched out the tank was even nicer. Today, on Friday (same week) the truck came to fill the tank completely. Another smiling service guy. A pleasure doing business with these guys, and at $1.00/ gallon less than Ferrell Gas. read more

I've been a customer for three years and their price is great but it's their service that will make me a lifetime loyal customer. We haven't been the most responsible propane users and at times we forget to call with a lot of notice, but they always get to me way faster than any of their competitors. It's the kind of customer service I don't even deserve because I'm the one not calling to schedule before we run out! But they do their best to get to us fast which keeps us warm and showered with hot water. I am so grateful. We called today, in the winter. No heat and no hot water. A family of six. Best propane service we've ever had. Made it super easy for us to switch- we made one call to Pacific Coast Energy to bring out a new tank, they unhooked our old tank and set us up with a new tank. Made another call to our previous provider (who appear to have been gouging us based on what Pacific Coast Energy charged us) to pick up the old tank and we were set! We always have had good service, but this was above and beyond, In the busy jumble of Christmas, a quick trip out of town and a surgery--I realized that snow was coming and our propane was at 7%--and it was Saturday!
