i went in to metropolitan appliance on memorial day weekend and had done my online research and was…read morepretty certain what i wanted in terms of a replacement slide in stove. jacob a approached me and ended up helping me. we spent over an hour talking about options and discussing standard coil vs induction/glass top. i wasn't going to go that route but jacob is very thorough and not pushy at all; multiple times he stated that his goal was for me to purchase something i felt comfortable with and would be happy to own. i appreciated that. ultimately i decided to go with a frigidaire model that was a drastic improvement on the stove/oven i've lived with for two decades. he took care of the payment paperwork, the scheduling of delivery which had to wait until now and also all the communication between us. he was also kind enough to send a follow up email alerting me to being eligible for a rebate based on the model i had chosen. today, the delivery folks showed up within the stated window and i'll just say that the tracking system clients are sent to know when to expect the delivery is magic! it helped a lot to be prepared and to have cleared the adjacent space but it left no guessing for when they would arrive. jorge and his teammate (sorry, i didn't catch his name) were professional and efficient. they knew how to handle the extrication of the old appliance, how to set up the new one and insure it was level, and they walked me through basic operating instructions. all told (and i haven't yet used the appliance) i have been very happy with the level of service and courteous communication from this business. it makes me want to provide their name to others who are in the appliance market and to use them again when i next need a replacement.

They value repair above replacement, even for older units. They repaired my no-name (Hotpoint) dishwasher from 1995, repairing an entire mechanism part and various seals. They came and repaired my garbage disposal, and because the repair was so simple (stuck piece of old plastic), they did not want to charge me the full price. This was such an honest gesture. Their service is so reasonably priced as it is. I know that if I have any more appliance issues or general handyman work that I need done, Medvedkov is on the top of my list of folks to call. I was given a tentative diagnosis and an estimated cost via text. When Ben came to do the repair, I was not home, but my mother was present. After the work was completed, my mother called to inform me of the total cost, which was double the estimate I was provided. I asked to speak with Ben to ask for clarification. As soon as I expressed my concern, Ben became highly agitated and began yelling, claiming the higher cost was due to taking everything apart. I had to ask him to stop shouting at me because I was simply trying to understand the charges, not to avoid payment. I also told him that I felt he should have discussed and explained what the problem was and the cost before the repair began, especially given the significant deviation from the estimate. When I told him what I was quoted, he said it was wrong and that he would "chastize" her later. After we hung up, he continued yelling at my mother in our home, then slammed the door after being paid. Once I reviewed the receipt, I noticed the reason the price was different was due to a "service fee". Not the additional labor cost to take everything apart, as Ben mentioned. Elizabeth was actually in the ballpark with the cost for the "repair". She just failed to mention the fee for them to come out. I called Elizabeth to provide feedback and to ask why this fee wasn't disclosed upfront. She said it wasn't mentioned because I "never asked." I guess I wasn't specific enough when I asked how much it would cost for them to come out and fix it. She then put me on speaker, and Ben again became defensive, yelling, and calling me a clown before abruptly ending the call. I understand that estimates can change, but fixed fees should be disclosed and discussed upfront. Treating a PAYING customer disrespectfully when requesting clarification is entirely unacceptable. I caution anyone considering Ben's Appliance.

Crooks and thieves. They are right by my house so I thought I would support a local business. Bad idea. I bought a house with a gas fireplace and thought they could help me track down a part (the bottom louver is missing). I gave them the make, model, and serial number and said they would get back to me in a couple days. 2 weeks go by and I had to contact them. The person I spoke with said he had no idea what I was talking about so I gave him all the info. 2 weeks go by and nothing. I call back and get the original guy (find out he is the owner, the guy with many tattoos). He remembered me and said he called me back, but he did not, hence my calling him. He said that the manufacturer was out of business, and this is common with fireplace companies. So the parts are next to impossible to find. The only way to fix the problem is start over and buy a whole new fireplace. Riiiiggghhht. I simply looked up the model number online, found an installation manual. There was a phone number on it. I called it, they identified the part number and emailed me the owners manual for any other parts I may need and gave me a number of a local distributor in Kent. I called them and ordered the part. $107 later, I have the part I need without having to buy a new fireplace. These guys are lazy and incompetent and just trying to steel your money, don't go here. read more

So I currently moved my shop to meridian from spanaway .I run very busy welding shop on 140th and Meridian I pull up at 5:45 Fatboy at the front counter is closed 15 minutes early they close at 6 p.m. now I got customers waiting at my shop expect me to come back with some welding gas not to mention it took me 20 minutes to travel 1 mile 20 or so blocks now this is f****** fat boy got his overalls jacked up looking like Butter bean with down syndrome so I store tells me I pulled up it too late okay check it out bro lost all my business my average yearly welding consumable cost up to $5,000 a year easily welding gases welding wire abrasive Wheels NOW I was here at 5:45 you already have the doors locked I took a picture on my phone because I'm writing this review now Fuwk that place!
