The part though that really bothers me is that, after all this, they also took my baseboard from the wall. No idea what they did with it. I called asking where it was and they never called me back. I'm now having to spend more money to get a custom baseboard created to match the rest of the room. I don't enjoy not supporting local businesses, but the fact that I'm now having to spend more money because of the baseboard being taken instead of this being compensated for is the reason I'm posting this. I emailed them at 11pm the night of the problem and they…read morefollowed up IMMEDIATELY to say they'd send someone out by 11am the next morning. 5 stars for Mario the excellent gentleman who came in and quickly assessed the situation of the shower cartridge leak and gave a repair solution which was smart and reasonably priced. He DID NOT try to upsell me on anything at all. I instead asked him about what it would take to do a full removal of current outdated hardware and do a more in depth repair. He gave me the estimate on that as well and it we agreed to it. He said they'd come as soon as possible to do that repair hopefully by the next day but if not, 2 days later. It was not a crucial repair so that was OK but there was water dripping to the rate of at least a bucket or more per day so I asked if possible please expedite. They did expedite and came back the next day. 5 stars for Angel who came the next day and did a smash up job. probably took around 5 hours that day. Angel was a gentleman and scholar. He let us peek in at his work all day long with grace and answers for everything we asked and plenty of pictures of work to boot. Angel identified some old piping that was never removed when a previous business installed copper piping. the old piping metal pipe (like galvanized steel) directly touches a new copper pipe in the presence of moisture, galvanic corrosion (electrolysis) occurs. This chemical reaction will corrode the less noble metal (the old iron/steel) and cause the new copper pipe to form pinhole leaks within a few years. He suggested we set up a complimentary review of how much of the old galvanized was left by a crawl under the house. This was performed today and they found the old galvanized leftovers in addition to some leaking galvanized under the tub. My kitchen sink was clogged for about 1 week since having a 75ft snake through a promotional…read moreplumbing service (not disclosing what company lol) did not work (it had stopped maybe 50ft in and while being retracted, lots of black sludge flew out). During that time, I had broken some copper fitting pipe parts underneath the sink so I did not put them back together to make sure it worked. Luckily, things happened for a reason so I bought new hard plastic pipes to replace everything but water was still slowly flowing out of my dual kitchen sink. I remembered the person who did the snake mentioned it might be time to get a new mainline pipe which meant breaking the walls and slab since I don't have a crawl space equating to 15-20K or an epoxy pipe lining to make it good as new again for 8K; I have no money for any of that so I googled "best ways to unclog a kitchen sink if 75ft snake fails" and was recommended hydro-jetting from AI. I then searched hydro-jetting Livermore and was recommended Diablo Hydro-Jetting immediately on my mobile phone where I was able to view both their website and Yelp reviews before calling 925-277-0200 on a Sunday evening. Fortunately, Jeff answered my call even while eating dinner who reassured me that he was 100% sure that my kitchen sink can be unclogged since they can blast it up to 500ft and if there were to be any complications that the competitive pricing comes with the drain inspection camera as needed. I truly appreciate Jeff's Team; Jose and Alex for taking on this difficult task. Jose was hydro-jetting my kitchen sink while communicating with Alex who was controlling the unit by the van. Initially, Jose and I feared that the black sludge would appear since pushing water with water and it was in fact what had happened where it was caught in a big metal container underneath the kitchen sink. Jose immediate told Alex to turn off the unit and requested to get the portable compact hydro-jet vac to clean out the container before resetting then restarting a 2nd time from the top with the vac on to catch everything as it goes. Then with some luck, we were able to hear the water flowing after it was unclogged, the sound of success! Jose then proceeded to check my cleanout area which was located outside of my house, opened it and made sure that the same sound we heard in the kitchen was heard there as well. And to ensure that my kitchen pipes were clean, Jose went ahead and did the hydro-jetting a couple more times just in case and even had Alex bring cleaning solutions to help wipe away some black sludge that flew to the side of the cabinet wall. The whole process took about 1hr and the invoice has a limited 90day service warranty guaranteeing against future clogs from reoccurring. This was the best investment I made highly recommended and I am very grateful for Jeff, Jose and Alex; they never upsold me anything and they truly are professionals in the field strictly hydro-jetting and nothing else, established in 1994 with over 32yrs of experience! I am raging…read moreposting this since we got scammed that left us with anxiety for more than a week, for something that should have been fixed within an hour. Charging 10-20% more for a job is one thing, but coming up with non existent issues and trying to scam for 10-20X of off what should have been is a different thing. They also use your personal situation and probably assess how vulnerable you are to fall for the scam. For example, we are new parents and were both burnt out when they first came in. Maybe it was obvious looking at our faces that we didn't have time to do any research. Read the full review to get a better idea. We contacted them for a drain clearing issue seeing their 59$ add online. They charged me 99$ on phone saying that covers the drain cleaning plus 15% of any new issues. Being just 40$ more it made sense to take the membership. Omar Mendoza arrived, very patiently heard about what happened, went to garage and inspected everything, checked under the sink and said the piping needs to be replaced coz they might break if he opens them (turns out this wasn't true btw), he quoted 722$ and I agreed coz I need to get this done asap, and since he showed me some corrosion around the pipes I believe him. He spent 3 hours snaking the drain and said the sink is heavily clogged and needs hydrojetting for which he quotes 7400$. So by that night we spent 722$ + 99$ + the sink didn't clear + we have a new air gap issue that they caused (ie they removed the air gap and didn't replace it properly). Next day I kept calling them through out the day, I called 6-8 times in total each time waiting for 30+ minutes on hold, David Sanchez finally showed up and apologized for not clearing the drain and said he could get us a discount and have the hydrojetting done for $2900. We were pissed by that time and rejected it and asked for a refund. They did finally give a refund, but that involved constantly calling them again for a whole week. Just for comparison, another plumber cleared the sink for $400 (emergency plumbing) and inspected and said we didn't need hydrojetting. We also had to get the air gap issue fixed which didn't exist in the first place and that costed us 120$. /The plumbers that were involved, OMAR MENDOZA and DAVID SANCHEZ, and the facility manager ALEX MARTINEZ are all big time SCAMMERS. The reason I am saying this is, I read very old reviews on here, looks like they are very knowledgeable, but they didn't have the right morals to do their job as promised. Also, when they are at your place, they put in several hours and pretend like they tried their best and things didn't work, and finally come up with a more expensive plan. When I say "they pretend like they are trying to do their best", they really do put on a whole show and since we are not the experts, we believe that really did try. They also spend a lot of time explaining the internals of piping and stuff even before starting the job. I guess they are just establishing trust before scamming for a larger sum I could give them negative stars if I could but I need to give atleast 1 star to get the review posted
