    Cheese curds
    Monica M.

Expensive at $19 a pop for a dirty martini but I guess expected at the airport. The dirty martini was well made and perfectly dirty though. The cheese curds were hot and gooey as they should. However, the burger patty in my American burger was overly salty which was unfortunate. Not a lot of food choices at GRR. So, being the main option, not bad.

Very weird 4 giants ipa, it's a fruity seltzer imo and nothing like an ipa

After 3 days in northwest area of Michigan 3 stars is a very good rating from me. The 4 of us can not tell if we don't like mid western food or if it simply isn't very good/healthy. We all had Flatbread which is vaguely like pizza. I ordered the veggie Flatbread, it was a pesto sauce, a tiny bit of cheese, black olives, jalapeno pepper and some bits of tomato on a fluffy bread. Where is the veggies, where is the Flatbread? Ipa beer from 4 Giants was gross. Not an ipa, more of a fruity seltzer. Suffice to say we didn't finish it or the Flatbreads. And this was an average meal we had on this trip. Had better, had worse.

While heading to Denver I chose to eat breakfast at the airport instead of at home because I was running late. As you walk through security you will notice prospect hill brewery paired with a founders sign. Being a huge fan of founders I chose this as my food/beer stop. Yes, it was breakfast time, but I'm on vacation and founders is good anytime of the day. Founders has its own menu at the bar if you're there for just their beer or you can pick something from the prospect hill menu if you want food or commercial beer. I chose the pulled pork sandwich. The meat was a little dry, but the bun was super fluffy and delicious. The pickles were just ordinary store bought pickles. The French fries were cooked and salted perfectly. Not a fan of frozen fries, but they were pretty good. I ordered the green zebra from the founders menu, and it delivered as usual. Founders has a rotating menu so don't expect to always see the same things on the menu. This is true at all their locations. Founders is it's own entity, and helps drive appeal and business for this location. The delicious founders beer definitely pulled me in. The Food is what you would expect from an airport. The Beer is what you would expect from Grand Rapids and more importantly founders. Service was great which is what makes the usual 3 star airport restaurants a 4 star. If I was just reviewing the founders beer then it would be a 5 star.

Traveling home fro Grand Rapids and was craving some food and a cider. I picked a fantastic place. The strawberry cider was so refreshing and delightful. I also ordered a bowl of chili that hit The spot. The staff was efficient and friendly and I made it to the gate in plenty of time.

Arrived at the airport way to early for my flight so that called for working and a beer. I arrived about 3pm on a Tuesday and was able to snag a seat as it's seat yourself. It started getting packed around 5pm. They have a good selection of beers and pretty nice bar options. The food menu had options but only one salad listed. It was very basic and at $18 not worth it. The service was slight hit with one waitress working it seemed it did get very slow when more people started to come in. She definitely needed help at peak time especially since it's an airport and people need to get on flights. Nothing to rave about but not a bad experience either.

Prospect Hill Brewhouse is exactly what the new expansion to the Grand Rapids airport needed. The moment you exit the security check into the terminal, you'll be able to see it. There's a large "Founders" sign that confuses you on what this place is called, but it is officially named Prospect Hill Brewhouse that serves Founders. If you didn't get to swing by the now famous brewery, Founders, in downtown Grand Rapids on your stay, you can now enjoy it before you fly out. This brewhouse is spacious and has plenty of bar and table seating right by large windows so you can watch the planes come in and out (well, it's not a busy airport so only if you get lucky will you see planes come and go as you sip a beer). If you like beer, you'll enjoy Founders and they even have a fruit beer for those of us who prefer sweeter drinks. In case you're the exception and hate Founders, they sell other beers, ciders, and more in a bottle/can. They also serve food. My wife and I ordered the parmesan fries and they were excellent (ask for a side of mayo for them). The service was the only downside. Maybe it's all of Grand Rapids, but they are soooooooooo slow. You'll have to ask for a menu, water, your order, your check, AND your credit card back. If you're in a rush, avoid this place.

Above average food, even for "airport food". They do have airport prices though. Big beer, liquor, and wine selection. Also, they have a nice view of the tarmac/ planes

We were literally just having cocktails while we wasted time waiting for our flight. That being said, the service was great, cocktails were strong, and location was pivotal (immediately past TSA checkpoint!). Price point was a little high, but that's to be expected at the airport. They did their best to replicate a outdoor cocktail hot spot - which I cannot imagine was easy - in an airport. I am sure we will stop again on our next trip to our home state..

Disappointed in my first experience here. The ambiance is great. Long communal tables, nice decor. Very bright. I had approached the bar to place a to go order. The actual to go window was closed. It was 5pm, so the place was packed. The server told me to wait. I did. She was running around like a maniac. It looked very understaffed. I continued to wait. At this point the bartender/server gruffly told me,"There are other places in the airport serve food too." Wow. I didn't expect that. So I continued to wait. Finally placed the order. Cobb salad to go. The salad was ok. Glad they nailed the things I didn't want on the salad. Some lettuce was wilty but overall ok. I will try this location again, but I hope they work out their staffing.

Nice place to hang out with our flight delayed. Really glad it's here!

As soon as you walk in, there are games, chips for sale, and a water cooler with reusable cups. The place was busy. Many folks eating and drinking. There were two seats at the bar, both on either side of a young lady; so I asked if I could take one and she said yes! As it turned out, she was an off duty employee just having a beer. We chatted a bit while I ordered a flight. I love that the flight is not limited. You can have as many 2.5 ounce beers as you want! Each are priced separately. I perused the food menu and checked out the merch. Sadly they did not have the tshirt I liked in my size. They also sell beanies, glassware and hoodies. Oh, and beer to go! I enjoyed the two IPAs with Good Good being my fave, followed by IPA#1. The porter was good and so was the Kona brown. The fade was my least fave, and it pretty much tasted like Guinness, but I did drink it all. I have preferences but I also have values! Lol. The off duty employee and I chatted awhile, even looping in the bar tender and my other bar stool neighbor, especially when it came down to naming the artists on the decorative candles (see pic). We were having so much fun that we decided on her having another beer and me getting a couple more samples. The Mosacca IPA was really good. The Economy, gotta love the name, was also good and the most affordable beer! Look at them looking out for the people. Loved this place. The locals are friendly. Did not eat but all the food I saw looked good! Would return to enjoy more beer, fun convos and to buy a size small shirt!

The interior is a nice vibe with picnic tables and booths, as well as a bar and high tops. There is a waitress but you can also order at the bar. The food did take awhile though. We got chips and guac, which I really liked the homemade chips, and the taco special on Tuesdays. For $25, you can pick steak, chicken, or birria tacos; you can mix and match any way you like, so we got 2 steak and 8 birria. It comes with cilantro and onions and salsa roja and verde. I was told the birria tacos were the same as the quesabirria, but just know that for this Tuesdays special, they're not -- it is only the birria taco meat with consommé on the side, no cheese or taco shells dipped in the consommé. UPDATE: My fiancé went back here with his dad a few days later, and he claims the chips tasted old or stale and the birria cheese dip appetizer was too watery and did actually come with birria in it (he had to ask for it and was given a tiny portion). Nonetheless, I'd love to come back here for tacos (quesabirria or steak) and definitely want to try the shrimp ceviche!

One of my good friends took me out for a late birthday celebration here at City Built!…read more This was my first time actually eating here but second time being in/ near the space because a few days before they hosted a World Cup watch party right on Mason street, which was super dope btw! I looked on City Built's website to see the menu before going there (of course) and found out that Los Mariscos De Pancho is now serving their food here which was a nice surprise since I have tried them at their Leonard location a few years back and enjoyed their food! I wish I could've tried some of the food that City Built had before since i had heard good things in the past but loved the combination of both City Built and Los Mariscos De Pancho! While browsing their website, I also found out that there would be open mic night on Thursdays and live music/ concerts on Monday nights which is always fun! We sat at the bar and we were pretty close to the musicians so it was kinda loud but my friend and I were still able to have our conversation. We came on a Thursday night around 6:30pm and it was already a steady amount of people there but as the night progressed the restaurant was more busy. Street parking wasn't too hard to find at this time or maybe we just got lucky.I believe the meters are free after 7pm! Walking in, there's bar seating, booth seating, high top table, coffee table seating, and bench style seating where you can sit yourself. There are 2 different entrances and in front of the main one there's patio seating! We opted to sit at the bar this time since most of the booths were full and it just happened to work out that way. We started off with drinks an alcoholic and non alcoholic version of the Agua De Jamaica and an order of the Garlic Butter Mussels. The my NA Agua De Jamaica was refreshing and much needed for the hot day. The mussels come in a serving of 6 or 12 and next time I would definitely order 12 right off the bat because we ended up ordering another round LOL. The sauce was so good I could drink it. The cucumbers were a nice refreshment/ palate cleanser from all that garlicky, buttery goodness. Just writing this review makes me want more right now! I also thought the mussels were a good size too so I will definitely be ordering those again. We also both ordered the Birria Ramen which came with Texas toast which I've never seen before. The portion size of the ramen was very filling since I was stuffed before our 2nd round of mussels came out (which took longer than anticipated to come out since we had to check to see if the order was put in). I also ordered the Birria Plate (4 birria tacos & consume) to go for my husband, which I should've ordered a bit earlier because of how long the mussels took. In the meantime, my friend wanted an expresso martini which they don't normally serve, but our amazing bartender made his own version with what he had and gave us both a cup to try. I don't even drink expresso martinis like that but the drink he made was delicious! I also heard that they have great beers too but I can't speak to that since I drink beers like that. Overall loved the vibes in here. They had different entertainment options like the live music and a few different board games to pick from. The ambiance had lots of natural light, and cute string lights, and overall a nice place to have dinner and drinks! Service was a bit on the slower side, maybe for this particular day, but everyone we interacted with was very friendly.
