I was really excited when this place opened. It is down the street from me, and I used to drive to Torrance for my eye exam appointments and contacts. The facility is super clean and cute, all of the employees are very helpful and friendly, and the owner is very personable and great! They also have a little playroom with toys. It really made my appointment much easier since I had my toddler with me. My contacts usually arrive within a few days after ordering them. I stopped by just to check out the eye where selection and I'm happy to say I found a lot of pairs of glasses that I fell in love with. The most important part of me finding this new location is the genuine care that Dr. Kaspian provided. She was kind , gentle and very detailed with my diagnosis. I have astigmatism and have had it for years now but Dr. Kaspian took the time to give me extra pointers and finally get me contacts that are actually conferable to wear. I ordered 2 pair of distance glasses and one pair for near. The distance glasses worked for near-distance work, on my computer. I was able to see better without the glasses while driving. Either the wrong prescriptions were submitted, or the lab screwed up. Was told to come in the next morning at 10:30. Got there and was told two people ahead of me bc they had appts and I did not. Huh?? I realize mistakes are made, but I was blamed for the glasses not working. "It's your first time wearing glasses." WRONG! Been wearing them for 35 years. Gave me a receipt for a refund, but they neglected to submit the refund to my bank account. Had to call them to get it done. They neglected to call back my insurance on 8/5 (as they were told to do by my insurance) to reverse the charges. Had to go into their office physically to ensure it got done. They told my insurance I "couldn't adjust" to the glasses. Really? Another lie blaming the patient; them not taking responsibility. I am able to use them to read, when will they change for driving?? Each step of the refund process, I had to be proactive to get them to do their job. Because they did not call back when they were told to, I now have to wait an additional 7-10 before I can see a competent optometrist who doesn't gaslight the patient. Be accountable for your mistakes and incompetence. INTEGRITY does not exist in this office. Keep in mind, businesses can remove negative reviews; they have control over what you see and don't see. I'm very happy to share my review of Prospect Optometry. Today was my first time there and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Gloria even got me a same day appointment. Doctor Kaspian made me feel comfortable. She took the time to explain everything she was doing while checking my eyes. She checked my eyes thoroughly. And even prescribed some eye drops for an infection in my left eye. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family. Dr. Kaspian's attention to detail is amazing. This place is not a quick "in and out" office. I came here with my mom and we individually thought she gave such a thorough eye exam. We don't have perfect eyes, so if there is a problem, she will spend the time to figure it out and fix it.
