After working with Select Physical for a few weeks, I asked Justice how long I should give the exercises before expecting to see results, about six months? He didn't give me an answer. I had a pain under my left kneecap, and after working the exercises for two months, it was gone. I found Justice to be a good source for information about the musculoskeletal system. I had some misunderstandings. The front desk staff is very professional with scheduling and preparing clients. I have had no issues with their interaction, which is a big positive. I had a total knee replacement in April and was kind of dreading physical therapy. There are so many PT places to choose from out there but I did some research and saw that Select had excellent reviews. The whole team there are awesome from start to finish, from the front desk staff to the therapists and aides. "T" and her team worked with me and got me from no driving to driving, cane to no cane, and no stairs to stairs. This week I graduated from PT at Select Physical Therapy (Costa Mesa) after having a total knee replacement in mid-August. Today, I feel so much stronger and confident about navigating everyday life. After 4 weeks of PT, I can do everything I was ever able to do functionally. The trainers at Select are fantastic. Daniel, Christian, and Amanda are all very knowledgable in kinesiology and are able to prescribe the exercises you need in order to get to the quickest recovery possible. I broke my collarbone last November while downhill mountain biking. It was my first severe injury ever and I had to get plates and screws put in. Unfortunately, the surgical site got a gnarly infection and prolonged my recovery about 11+ months and left me with a permanent mal-union bone. I had to get operated on a total of 3 times in the span of 6 months. Every time i went to the doctors for a check up I received more bad news. I was hopeless. I was mortified and traumatized, and quite frankly, very hesitant to seek additional medical attention given what I already gone through. Dr. Daniel Bever and his team took excellent care of me and always made me feel heard when creating a rehab plan for my shoulder and collarbone. They made sure they knew all the facts about my particular injury and customized a plan that i was comfortable with. In the midst of my injury, I lost all hope of ever being able to mountain bike again. Now upon completing my rehab program a short while later, I am electrified to say that I have made a full recovery and am back on the bike absolutely sending the local trails, thanks to Daniel and his team. For the last several years I have been pushing back against polymyalgia rheumatica and parkinson's disease. My battle plan of 3-4 2hr sessions a week at 24 hr Fitness were keeping me strong and mobil: then came this nasty virus... for a while I tried to exercise at home, but soon lost my routine and consequently, my mobility, balance and stamina. This review is long overdue. I went to Select Physical Therapy last year in June for about 10 sessions. I was referred by Kaiser Permanente because my neck and my upper back was tense and stiff, and I was losing sleep because of that. Dr. Daniel Bever and his team showed me some stretches that I could do at home to relieve the tension in my neck and upper back. I have been feeling much better since then. I'm still doing the stretches, and I'm getting a good night's sleep that leaves me refreshed and awake in the morning. I injured my knees in a fall and was given a referral to Select PT on Nutmeg in Costa Mesa. Daniel and Eric were terrific in working with me to slowly increase my exercise level so that I can now step down off curbs without fear of falling. I've had 4 treatments to help recover from a difficult knee injury (stress fractures on kneecap, torn meniscus, strained quad and patellar tendon). I highly recommend Select Physical Therapy in Costa Mesa. the staff is very friendly and professional I went there because I had severe pain in my right hip thinking it was arthritis and no cure for it.. I just wanted help to relieve the pain. Daniel, the therapist that was assigned to me, after a thorough evaluation determined it was bursitis curable through physical therapy. He gave me exercises and stretches to do and gave me diagrams of stretches I need to do at home three times a day. This has helped me a lot I'm sure my bursitis will go away very soon as long as I do the stretches and exercises that he recommended. I have been going to Select Physical Therapy in Costa Mesa due to my right knee replacement rehabilitation. I am impressed with the staff and their dedication to improve movement of my knee. I appreciate the encouragement when days are hard and there doesn't seem an end in sight. Appointments are easy to make along with receiving a text message appointment reminder. I was a repeat patient here due to my own circumstances. I spent six weeks in the fall of 2015 for a torn acromioclavicular joint (shoulder separation), then spent the better part of 2016 (May to December of 2016) doing prehab on a complete ACL tear w/ partial MCL tear and rehab after ACL reconstruction. All of the physical therapists here are really awesome. They are very knowledgeable, personable and caring. Holly (who is unfortunately no longer here because she moved out of state) was my therapist for my shoulder. Carrie was my therapist for my ACL. Mary is another physical therapist here who wasn't specifically assigned to my case, but she filled in during the absence of my regular therapists. For my ACL tear, my orthopedic surgeon did not want to operate until I regained full range of motion. My physical therapist, Carrie, was able to help me gain full range of motion within a few weeks so I could schedule the surgery. With Carrie's help, I was able to walk several miles a day without any issues prior to the reconstruction surgery. She was instrumental in salvaging a prebooked family vacation to San Francisco which involved several days of walking and sightseeing with a full ACL tear! After ACL reconstruction, Carrie administered the rehab protocol for me to regain range of motion, neuromuscular activation, strength building, agility and power/plyometrics. I was provided with joint manipulation, electrical stimulation, strength and conditioning, plyometrics, agility drills, and more. I returned to sport within 6 months! I was able to do a family ski trip and carved up the slopes before the 6 month mark! In addition to the well qualified and compassionate physical therapists who will fix you, the PT aides, James and Susan, are super friendly and always helpful. The front office staff, Jessica, Lydia, and Amanda, are always very pleasant and welcoming. Everyone is just super fun to be around. Leaving here was a bittersweet experience. I was happy that I was better, but I felt like I was leaving my friends... Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. I'm writing this now because I have a shoulder injury and refuse to go here. Sadly they are the only group contracted with GNP so I may have no other option. First, expect to spend hours here. You sit in the waiting room at least 1/2 hour. Then after they assess you, they give you an exercise, leave for 20 minutes, Come back, show another, leave for 20 minutes. Continue But I digress. When I was here a few years ago I could barely use my thumb to grab anything. After they got through with me my hand was even less functional and it throbbed constantly. I got home and after 6 months of doing exercises I found on YouTube, I was able to undo their damage and got my hand working again. Most of the employees are right out of school and have zero life experience. Because of some health issues I'm not able to do standard PT but it seemed outside the scope of their knowledge to figure out how to work with me. They wanted to to go to Home Depot and rig up a pully system in my house. Are they nuts? I'm a disabled senior. I asked one of them a specific question about my hand. She just walked away, I never got an answer and that most likely led to my hand getting worse. GNP has totally gone downhill the last few years. They were once a great network to be in but when it comes to orthopedic problems you have no choices. Only one ortho group and one PT group. read more

I am very unhappy after having 2 sessions that I was told I would have to pay for in full because my deductible had not been met. The initial consultation was $166.50 and the subsequent visits would be $92.31. Reluctantly I paid knowing this would take a bite of my finances but not wanting a bill to be left over. Upon receiving the EOB from Cigna I should have only been charged my $30.00 copay for each visit. Feeling a bit fleeced I visited the office and requested an immediate refund. I was told that it would take 4-6 WEEKS for me to get my money back.. Also noted they did not report to Cigna that I had paid them any money let alone the visit in full. Buyer Beware! read more

I had shoulder surgery and my progress is incredible due to the wonderful care I have received from Carrie and everyone else there. Not only are they capable, but they are caring. I love that they are young because they have the latest training and are enthusiastic about everything. My therapy is exactly one hour, so I have been able to schedule my appointments on the way to work. My neighbor went there for therapy after neck surgery and had the same positive results that I have had. read more
