During Oktoberfest, this is definitely the place to be, as it's probably the only (correct me if I'm wrong) Denver brewery that makes solely Germany beers. I can't say they were all great but I highly enjoyed the Dunkel. All the beers looked like they were between $5-8. On a warm afternoon, it's such a nice place to hang out. It's shaded and has a nice view of the city. The patio and brewery are dog friendly (always appreciated). The parking situation could use a little help but it's fine. I imagine we will be back quite a bit. read more

The patio is nice, and the beer is very good. The service left a bit to be desired, but the views from the patio are fabulous and it was generally a great place to spend round three of the brewery bike tour. If you are tired of IPAs, this is the place for you. The beer is the draw. I had a chance to have a flight of five beers (even got the Octoberfest ahead of time). The Dunkel is a must, Kolsh and Pils were very good as well. Service was great, Karie was very helpful. The decor is trying to resemble a German beer all but ... looks more like an indoor camp ground dining hall - needs darker wood. Also it would help immensely if they offered good pub food (I understand that is in the works). Great merchandise selection! They actually have a parking lot - a plus in Denver. read more

Great overall experience. We stopped in on a Sunday our way back from Vail for a drink and had a great time. Very cool vibe with nice finished picnic tables inside and outside, good beer, fresh baked pretzels, and a guy with a gourmet sausage cart outside. We played some Yatzee and watched the NCAA tourney. Staff was very attentive. Only thing that could have made the experience better is if they could have conjured up a Michigan win. read more

Great patio and view of downtown but really lacking in beer choices. They advertise having all kinds of stuff but both times I have been there they only have their house made beer that is not very good. All of the beers I tried were flat and bitter like a bruised beer that had been hot and cold too many times. I would not find their beer selections German like or good,all their good reviews are from people that live outside Colorado. service was good though and a nice location. read more

How can anyone stay in business with such inattentive service. We stood at the bar where to bartenders were more engaged in entertaining each other. When we finally got some attention, I asked what was a favorite. I was rudely informed that there were no favorites and all the beers were good. Surprised at the amount of indoor space, tasty beer and really good hot pretzels! Food trucks change nightly. Ample parking and super dog friendly. Cool with slightly less attitude. Just a nice neighborhood brewpub that has parking (for those who don't live in Lohi this is a rarity!). read more

This is a "no frills" place with an attempt at German beer tent ambiance. At $6 (average) per beer, I consider it on the high priced side. that's likely due to its proximity to downtown Denver. It's obviously popular with the local, trendy crowd and was pretty busy this Sunday afternoon in Jan despite no football being played on TV. The Pro Bowl doesn't count as that isn't real football. I had the Weissbier, which I enjoyed quite a bit. I was a bit rushed as my bartender wanted to pour my next one when the first was about half gone, but she did great on my service. Overall, I like the place. It's probably great in the summer when the open air atmosphere and summer weather work great together. However, at $6 per beer, it likely won't be a frequent hang out for me. read more

Well, the beer is fantastic, the deck is fun and dog-friendly, and the beerhall reminds me of German ones. Pretzels are good if a bit overpriced. But sadly, there is no food offered. Every beerhall in Germany comes with plentiful cheap and tasty eats that keep the patrons buying more beer. Not so here: the mexican truck (reviewed separately) out front served overpriced, undersized burritos that didn't taste the least bit German. read more

Really great beer here! The picnic table seating made it easy to meet new people while my friend and I were vacationing in Denver. There are board games, too, though we didn't participate in them. The brewery tour we were given was super informal, but really fantastic. The head brewer Brad was great and had a good sense of humor, which I can definitely appreciate. Hope to visit again soon. Just terrible, terrible service. Took forever for them to get my order while they were standing around and talking to each other. Tried to get them to change the channel twice to a different football game(no one was watching the one on the tv). Two different employees said they would only to turn around and completely ignore my request. Bartenders just are not tactful and parking sucks. Beer is nothing special. First let me say the beer was pretty good but the absolutely poor cstomer service was terrible. A friend took me there for our first time and we sat down and it took a bit to order our beer even though we were sitting at the bar. The short slender guy with a black beard seemed like, he didn't care about customer service all. Plus, when we went to pay our bill, the guy literally took his time as we watched him having beer shots with some other staff instead of getting our bill. WTF? I realize that people can't be on every day but this was ridiculous. I prefer Lohi Steakbar instead. Much friendly staff after multiple visits and literally great customer service. Do not recommend Probst Brewery if you expect at least a certain amoputn of customer service. That can make and break any joint. Yes, what is with the dirt parking lot? read more

Very good beer, all of them are "drinkable" as everyone has said. I loved the weibbier but I love any beer with banana flavor. Definitely not the best, not the worst. I would prob give it closer to a 3.5 read more

I really like this place and want to give it more stars, but cant. If you are only gonna brew like 5 or 6 beers, then it's kinda lame to be "all out" of one or more of them. That's not a huge deal, but the real problem was the HORRID STENCH around there!!! We realized that some sort of exhaust pipe coming from the side of their building was emitting the most disgusting, foul smell ever! It came out right next to the outside patio and it kept wafting into the inside area of the brewery thru their open windows. Seriously, it was really disgusting and I don't think we will be returning until this is rectified! read more

Great experience! If you're looking for a vast array of beers, perhaps it's not the place for you. With that said, what they do offer is wonderful. We met friends (and their children) here for dinner and drinks while vacationing in Colorado. The food truck outside provided the meal which you can eat inside the brewery. All of us, including four small children, enjoyed the atmosphere (adults enjoyed the beverages), and the kids loved that there were so many other kids and dogs in the establishment. We met lots of friendly folks, staff and patrons both, during this trip. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area! read more

As a German I am picky about my brews, in particular German beer. These beers are fantastic. The pilsner is crisp and refreshing, the kolsch full bodied and balanced. I will note, I found the hefeweizen too fruity and lacking that wheat undertone that I crave. read more
