My husband and I like to eat well, but we like to eat out together for dates occasionally which usually requires compromising our conscience. This was delicious food (we got a dish to share with bison, sweet potatoes, egg whites and onions and a chocolate peanut butter protein shake). I've been to this place several times. Every time I come in person, it takes forever for them to prepare your order. Sometimes I'll see the order just sitting out and no one comes to grab it and bring it to the customer. However, I keep returning because my husband likes the food (I don't find it all that impressive for how much they charge). Since COVID started, we have been trying to order either pickup or delivery. EVERY time it's been nearly impossible. Twice I have called and attempted a pick up order and they do not answer. Then, I tried delivery through door dash. Door dash cancelled the order because ProteinHouse did not respond the the request. He's amazing, his customer service and attitude are amazing even under pressure. I love that the food is fresh and lets me eat on the go, the mistakes aren't a huge deal. Well, it is nice to go to a restaurant that list the macros out on the menu. The portions are enough for two servings, so the price is pretty cheap if u split the portions. 1 star for customer service. We walked in ten minutes to close and were reading the menu for a few minutes deciding what to order. When I went to place my order the girl told me that they had already washed the blenders so I couldn't order a smoothie and that the kitchen was closed. I've given this place multiple chances and idk why I keep telling myself it'll be better next time. The first time I ordered a bowl, they forgot my rice so I went and asked for rice and the cook looked at my like I was stupid. I showed him my order and bowl with no rice, he got the rice and said "do you want chocolate syrup on it?" I stopped going for a month, next time I went it was the same thing. We have eaten here a few different times now. The PB&J Shake is my favorite. The omelet with cottage cheese is also really good. The South Beach pancakes are super tasty and a very large portion. Prices are a little high but I feel like the quality makes it worth it. They make things as you order so be patient. Two out of three times we have gone in people were complaining about the wait. I was extremely upset at how my meal preps were packaged. The sauces were left to just thrash around in the bag. We only live seven miles away so not like there is any fast and furious kind of driving. Two of the sauces spilled in my car all over my seat! I had to sit there and clean up that mess only to clean up the mess all over my counter once I took it out and clean every single container with soap and a sponge! It.spilled.all.over. Unnecessary time wasted for either carelessness or lack of thought. I don't think anyone with luxury cars would appreciate the smell of teriyaki sauce in their car either. I purposely put it on my seat so that the food would not flail around. My suggestion would be to pack the sauces either in the meal prep containers or in a tiny little to go bag to contain them. Either that or to re-train staff on how to pop on lids. This takes away from the whole experience. So discouraging to visit the Gilbert, Az and receive no information regarding ingredients in food items. I have a very intense nut allergy. When i asked the staff if the granola contained nuts i was told they didn't know. When I asked if the protein chocolate brownies contained nuts I was told they didn't know. I was told the manager "probably knows but isn't here". Not only did this situation make me feel undervalued as a customer is also is a huge liability for this company. In an industry of health and fitness better measures should be made to assure the health of customers . read more

The shakes here are good but pricey. $9.99 for a shake. Many items seem to have peanut butter in it. That is fine if you like peanut butter, but if you don't, it makes ordering hard. We have tried protein house at this particular location numerous times. Every time we say to ourselves maybe next time will be a better experience. Well, today wasn't any better. I ordered a bowl with ahi tuna and they were given to me frozen. I had to take it back up to be cooked. In my experience you aren't suppose to frozen filets, they should be prepped and thawed out before hand. If your location doesn't have them prepped just say so and I'll order something else. We were told we would get 10% off the next time we come in. However, there won't be a next time. The Vegas location has it right and that's the location we love. This was my wife's and my first time coming here. We got the PH burger and the Mussel burger. The food overall was good. We got it lettuce wrapped and we did not like how thick the lettuce was. We basically had to use our back teeth to break the lettuce. But the mixed veggies were super good. Pretty pricey for 2 burger. We ended up paying 31.20 after taxes for the burger. read more

I ordered the mayra vegan pancakes and they came out looking beautiful but tasted awful! They tasted like plain baking soda or some combination of raw ingredients despite being cooked through. I tried to eat them at first but even piling on banana and syrup couldn't mask the taste. I ended up taking them back to the counter and the staff was really sweet and without hesitation told me to order something else on the menu. I got the southwest burger and it was much better. The beyond burger patty is super heavy and not a huge fan of it but after the pancakes I was not complaining. The staff also said they would check the batter and said that they thought the pancakes tasted bad because they were vegan and there wasn't much to work with ingredient wise. But I've had phenomenal vegan pancakes in the valley, pomegranate cafe and 24 carrots pancakes are sooo good. Also had vegan protein pancakes at Nourish down a mile or two down the street from Proteinhouse and both my brother (nonvegan) and I love them. I'm thinking maybe the pancakes weren't good because proteinhouse doesn't use certain ingredients (wheat maybe) not sure but was looking forward to trying these pancakes for a couple months and was disappointed. read more
