Wrap and protein pancakes
Tara L.

Food was fresh and tasted good (tasted healthy). The food came pretty fast. Service is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. They were fine but not very attentive. I needed a to go box and although a worker was standing there I had a hard time getting them to stop their coworker convo to assist me. Overall ambiance was fine. It was simple and clean, nothing wrong with it. I do like having healthy food options while on the road for work so I did appreciate having this place as an option.

Menu

I was excited to try ProteinHouse. I love their options. The menu includes all the nutritional data like calories and macros. I personally like that it is easy to order vegan too. What I did not like was the service, prices, and frankly, the food. Service: Slow to acknowledge you. Did not call out orders. We sat there for several long minutes, like what is going on? I go up and they had the order in a to-go bag waiting to be picked up? So everything was packaged to-go... Even when I tried to get a cup they were too busy socializing with their friends instead of paying customers... They even got our order wrong. We paid an extra $1 x 2 for air fries but got sweet potato instead, which was not an upcharge. The food v price. I expect bigger portion sizes for these prices. My salad was okay... it could've easily done with 2x more the dressing, the burritos are small, Impossible burger was fine but again, needs fries. The Vegan Pancakes, they looked amazing. They tasted... interesting. I'm not sure if I was tasting too much baking soda, baking powder, or too much protein powder? Either way we doused it with maple syrup. Disappointed because I really like the idea behind ProteinHouse. I would love to see all restaurants have the nutrition out there for patrons to easily see. I may, possible come back to try their smoothies or acai bowls.

Went for a green juice and came home with veggie pulp filled up almost half way up the glass... not worth $9!

Looks expensive?? Is it worth it?

In my opinion any truly "clean" restaurant is always worth a couple extra dollars. Their food is tasty and will make anything to your specifications.

There isn't really anything I've ordered that wasn't an absolute hit. This spot fires on all cylinders: the food tastes amazing, cocktails are strong yet balanced, and I love the ambiance in the bar area. My favorites include: fleur de lis, charred shrimp risotto, short rib mac & cheese, grilled artichokes (an absolute sleeper hit), twisted noodle salad w/ shrimp, shoestring fries, brussel sprouts, braised short ribs, etc.

We sat inside since it was a hot day but the outdoor seating looked lovely, weather permitting. The menu had some really great options, I ended up going with the Croquet Madam. It was super tasty minus that the bread was burnt. Without the burn, it would've been a solid 5/5 for me. I also am obsessed with their fries, they're those skinny shoestring crispy type & with the truffle aïoli were perfection. The service started off great but slowly slipped as our server got busier and visited our table far less. I'm sure they just have some kinks to work out with the new menu. Overall I still really enjoyed it & would come back again to try their dinner.

I had to flag bartender down (because not once did he check on us) asked if they had to go to Idaho for our cow, could he possibly check on my order, I wouldn't know because he never came back. When it was delivered by an entirely different server, I said it had taken ages, she went and retrieved our ticket to find out what time the order was put in. And there lies the problem.... We located this Location based on one of my YELP friends that I've been following for years as she really loves Aftermath. On this occasion, we were lucky enough that they had live music. The musician was fantastic and just really talented. We ended up sitting in a nice cozy booth where we could stretch out and feel comfortable and relax. For drink drinks we ordered the old-fashioned and also the big easy. We both enjoyed our drinks and moved on to ordering Andre's. My husband ordered the aftermath burger and I ordered the meatloaf. All in all, we were really happy with our selections and actually ended up getting a second round of cocktails as they were really delicious. For this round of transition to the Cabernet red wine, which is Dauo Wines and it was really tasty. We'll definitely be back, hope that this musician continues to play live music. We ordered both the Aftermath Burger and Jalapeño Burger. Nothing stood out in a good or bad way so... forgettable. Service- Slow. Only one bartender who mostly was slow. Drinks and water sat empty for quite a while we ate. For a total of $120+tip, it was really middle of the pack.

I really love the aesthetic of this place. First of all it's tucked on the back corner of a strip mall. You wouldn't know it was care without looking, even though there is a small patio that wraps around. The dining room is kind of a great mixture that stuff it's very industrial working with lots of concrete with open duct work, but it also has a lovely tufted Bank at and crystal chandeliers. The perfect balance and I love it. You can see into the kitchen which I also like. Our server was delightful, and I loved the attentiveness, like making sure to move the curtains when the light was hitting in an odd way. I started with a delicious drink that I think was called Mezcal Orange Fizz. It was yummy! For the first course I chose the Salmon Crudo. It had a citrus dressing and crispy rice chip. It was absolutely delicious, but very tiny. I could have licked the plate because the dressing was so yummy. My friend had the gazpacho, which she said was very good With main course I chose the Garlic-Lemon Scallops and Corn. It was four delicious scallops on polenta garnished with popcorn. What a cool surprise! It was really good! My friend had the short ribs which she seemed to like as well. For dessert, we both chose the key lime tart. It was a little bit of heaven on a plate! I really enjoyed it. The portion sizes were appropriate - - what we probably should be eating rather than the huge portions we normally get. I was able to finish everything, and I left full but not stuffed. I did remove a star because I did not like that they charged a gratuity on a check for just one person. I normally tip a minimum of 25%, but they added 18%. I just left it. I understand the need to include the gratuity with a larger party (somehow the server always seems to get the short end on those larger parties). I don't know if that's a normal thing, or a restaurant week thing because, to be honest, hubby always pays the bill. I do recommend this hidden gem of a place. It has a lot going for it and I've always enjoyed my visits here.

It took like 20 min before they ordered drinks and 30 min plus before drinks were delivered! Crazy right? The first visit I got the burger and fries and it was delicious. The second time I got a steak medium well and loaded baked potato and the potato was very dry (like an older potato that was on its way out) and although I loved the overall flavor of the steak I had to eat around the edges only and avoided the center because not only wasn't it medium w no pink it was red! Also it had gristle and fat. For $44 it was a waste of good meat and I'm not one to ask a cook to throw it back in the grill when they should know how to produce different levels of cooked steak. The ambiance is a chill dim lit vibe and easy for conversations so that was great! The bathrooms are clean and smell good. Great mirror lighting too. But the front layout is odd, the hostess stand is right there so everyone crams in front of door and there's no barrier to the first large table so you're like staring at the poor people eating at that first long table lol! I think they need to switch up the entry layout and put up a half wall or decorative situation to tuck away that table a bit too. Just my two cents. Overall, I'd go again but it would be really nice if management saw this and trained staff on how to greet table sooner, take drink orders, and deliver said drinks timely for a more pleasant dining experience.
