I was excited to try ProteinHouse. I love their options. The menu includes all the nutritional data like calories and macros. I personally like that it is easy to order vegan too. What I did not like was the service, prices, and frankly, the food. Service: Slow to acknowledge you. Did not call out orders. We sat there for several long minutes, like what is going on? I go up and they had the order in a to-go bag waiting to be picked up? So everything was packaged to-go... Even when I tried to get a cup they were too busy socializing with their friends instead of paying customers... They even got our order wrong. We paid an extra $1 x 2 for air fries but got sweet potato instead, which was not an upcharge. The food v price. I expect bigger portion sizes for these prices. My salad was okay... it could've easily done with 2x more the dressing, the burritos are small, Impossible burger was fine but again, needs fries. The Vegan Pancakes, they looked amazing. They tasted... interesting. I'm not sure if I was tasting too much baking soda, baking powder, or too much protein powder? Either way we doused it with maple syrup. Disappointed because I really like the idea behind ProteinHouse. I would love to see all restaurants have the nutrition out there for patrons to easily see. I may, possible come back to try their smoothies or acai bowls.

Food was good, however, I think it is a little over priced for the portion you're getting. Expectations were not quite met, unfortunately. I did enjoy their green smoothie. 4 stars.

Good food but the portion size on the Cajun chicken was laughable. For $15 it was barely half a meal.

Looks expensive?? Is it worth it?

In my opinion any truly "clean" restaurant is always worth a couple extra dollars. Their food is tasty and will make anything to your specifications.

Our server Jacob was excellent and very professional and friendly. He checked on us regularly and never left us waiting for service. We started with dirty martinis and they were prepared perfectly. Icy and filled to the rim. I ordered the Short Rib Potstickers $19- As an entree. Toasted sesame, cilantro, ponzu. Delicious. A good amount of short rib in each potsticker and plenty of sauce. My husband ordered the Blackened Sea bass Tacos $28 - blue corn tortilla, grilled pineapple salsa, red cabbage slaw, poblano crema. He loved these tacos. He said they were very, very good and the fish was cooked perfectly. For a side, we ordered the Spicy Double Egg Fried Rice. $9. Wow, this was packed with flavor. A nice size for the price. We have only been here a handful of times full of times and we are never disappointed. We will be back!

It is beautiful, spacious, and has two floors! The setting is clearly above your usual brunch spots and the booths offer a more intimate experience. My party and I were privileged to sit in direct view of the open kitchen. We got to see and hear the kitchen staff working together and communicating smoothly. We even heard the "hands" announcements like you see on The Bear TV show! I believe the food here was on par with the West Hollywood location, so points for consistency. Unfortunately, I have the same qualms for flavor for their dishes. I tried the short rib pot stickers, the tortilla soup, and the Bolognese pasta. I would say that the flavors were not especially strong for each dish. I think they each needed a pinch of extra seasoning to really make their flavors pop! Moreover, I tried my girlfriend's Rigatoni Alla Vodka and the cheese had no taste! Nevertheless, the dishes were beautiful. Lastly, I had a bit of an issue with our service. Our server passed by our table multiple times as we tried to flag her down to ask for the check. I think she could have been more attentive especially in the context of this higher-end brunch spot. With all of these factors combined, it's an overall 4/5 for me.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged, which made for a great dining experience. FOOD Deviled Eggs - Great flavor with a bold, well-balanced seasoning. A strong start to the meal. Corn Bread - Really enjoyed this. It had a nice balance of sweet and savory and was moist without being too heavy. Fries - Crispy, well seasoned, and easy to keep reaching for. Swordfish Tacos - I would skip these. The fish didn't taste as fresh as I expected and had a noticeable fishy smell that took away from the dish. Overall, the food was good, but with such a large menu I would probably try different items on a return visit. My favorite part was actually the warm cookie they give you when you leave. As soon as we walked in, we both said, "This isn't what we were expecting." It's a large open dining area with tables and about four or five booths with counter-style ordering. They have a water station set up where you grab your own waters and find a table to sit at, and then they will bring out your food. Based on the name, we assumed we would be seated by a hostess and the menu would be full of breads, different kinds of pastries, and country-style foods, but it's actually mostly Mexican dishes with a few country-style dishes thrown in. We ended up ordering the Crispy Chorizo & Potato tacos and the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon to share. The tacos were good; they are filled with whipped potatoes and chorizo, but the biscuits and gravy were just basic biscuits and gravy. The scrambled eggs on both dishes were WAY overcooked and had zero flavor. Not sure if they misunderstood my husband when he ordered the side of bacon crispy; that also meant to cook the eggs that way too? Overall, it was a good experience. The espresso martini was good, and the staff were really friendly. I'm just not sure it was good enough to stop in again.

I really love the aesthetic of this place. First of all it's tucked on the back corner of a strip mall. You wouldn't know it was care without looking, even though there is a small patio that wraps around. The dining room is kind of a great mixture that stuff it's very industrial working with lots of concrete with open duct work, but it also has a lovely tufted Bank at and crystal chandeliers. The perfect balance and I love it. You can see into the kitchen which I also like. Our server was delightful, and I loved the attentiveness, like making sure to move the curtains when the light was hitting in an odd way. I started with a delicious drink that I think was called Mezcal Orange Fizz. It was yummy! For the first course I chose the Salmon Crudo. It had a citrus dressing and crispy rice chip. It was absolutely delicious, but very tiny. I could have licked the plate because the dressing was so yummy. My friend had the gazpacho, which she said was very good With main course I chose the Garlic-Lemon Scallops and Corn. It was four delicious scallops on polenta garnished with popcorn. What a cool surprise! It was really good! My friend had the short ribs which she seemed to like as well. For dessert, we both chose the key lime tart. It was a little bit of heaven on a plate! I really enjoyed it. The portion sizes were appropriate - - what we probably should be eating rather than the huge portions we normally get. I was able to finish everything, and I left full but not stuffed. I did remove a star because I did not like that they charged a gratuity on a check for just one person. I normally tip a minimum of 25%, but they added 18%. I just left it. I understand the need to include the gratuity with a larger party (somehow the server always seems to get the short end on those larger parties). I don't know if that's a normal thing, or a restaurant week thing because, to be honest, hubby always pays the bill. I do recommend this hidden gem of a place. It has a lot going for it and I've always enjoyed my visits here.
