Normally the final product is so great I forget the lack of customer service skills the nail techs have at this establishment. But today took the cake. In the middle of my pedicure I was told that a customer who was supposed to have a 2pm appointment showed up at 15 to 5pm to get her nails done. My nail appointment was to begin right after my 4pm pedicure. So instead of advising the person who showed up 3 hours late for her appointment that she'd have to come back the next day or whenever she was available, they asked me to come tomorrow or next week. Unbelievable! My appointment was booted for someone who was 3 hrs late. The blow would not have hit so hard, had I not watched them totally disrespect and disregard a customer who came in for her appointment and was told they were too busy to take her. After she made an appointment 5 yes ago. Like seriously... What are appointments for? It is bad enough that before Corona my appointments were always pushed back anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour because they either forgot to call me or couldn't read the hand writing of the person who wrote my number (yeah excuses) Regardless this is not a doctor's office. They have to do better. In the mean time, I'm taking my business elsewhere! Loyal for over a year but no more! read more

My sister and I came here for the first time today to get our nails done. They did a really job on both of us and deserve 5 stars for the nail service. The guys were super friendly and helpful but the girl did make us feel like we should have left because they were about to close. However, we had called before to make sure it was okay for us to come in and when we did they were super confused and said it was alright but when we asked if she was sure she said "well, you're already here." It was pretty rude considering we had driven from Sacramento out to Roseville for this place and the guy that answered the phone was so nice and after he said they closed soon and we hung up he called us back to say it was okay for us to come in. Besides that, the nails turned out beautiful and the 2 guys there at the end were so nice and so friendly. read more

This place is awesome! They were very busy when my friend and I walked in and they still took us. She got a pedi and a fill and I got a fill. Peter did my nails and he was super cool and funny. The service here was AWESOME!! I was waited on as soon as I walked in the door. The services I received were a gel manicure and pedicure. Sang did my pedicure and he did a fabulous job! The massage was great plus the paraffin dip for my feet topped everything off, and all of that for only $21!! After that, Lily did my gel manicure. She did an awesome job as well! Very detailed and meticulous with her work, as a lot of people are not when it comes to working with the gel; this was a major plus for me! I would have to say the cherry on top was receiving a free glass of wine during my service!! To sum it up, everyone was SUPER friendly, personable, and they did a great job on my nails! This is my first visit (I relied on my fellow Yelpers' reviews!) and I must say, this place certainly lives up to their Yelp reputation! Billy did my full set (tips/gel) & Helen did my pedi. They were both SO sweet! One thing I really like about the atmosphere is that the calming piano music overpowers (in a good way!) the reality TV that's playing near the back of the salon. That's how it should be! While I did find myself driving in circles trying to locate the salon at first, I'm glad I didn't give up! I absolutely LOVE protop nails! They are very professional, are keeping up with the nail culture and all the new ideas that are coming about. They pay great attention to detail and are perfectionists. Most importantly they are very clean and affordable, I highly recommend. Oh man.. where to start. My experience in one word was rough. I called ahead to check how much an acrylic nail set would be with normal polish and they told me $22. From the moment I walked in they were shoving up charges down my throat. "You need gel nails- $10 more" probably heard that a good 4 times. Then I sit down, show the guy what I want and when I tell him the shape I want (which is square with rounded corners) he says that will be $25 because it's not the standard "easy square shape". I'm already bugged at this point. He then goes on to tell me that it's usually $5 more but he's doing it for me for only $3 like he's giving me some deal when really he is just up charging me for no reason. The whole time the guy is moving my hand, tapping it, yanking it, telling me to relax, but then wanting me to keep my hand stiff, slapping it, twisting my hand way further than it should. It was just the most awkward thing. Wasn't the shape I wanted, I ended up paying 28.50 with tip, and I'm just so sad because I loved my pedicure here. Will not be coming back for an acrylic set again that's for sure!! read more

Found this salon on Yelp because it was convenient to where I was leaving the galleria mall, it's an okay salon, nice and quiet and got in with no wait time. Good assortment of colors to choose from but I definitely feel I was overcharged for my nails. I got a gel fill and was charged the same price for what I normally pay for a gel FULL set at my usual salons. I wouldn't care if the quality was a little better but I wasn't too impressed with how they came out. After the lady told the front desk girl what to charge me and walked away I asked the front desk girl how much does the service normally cost because what I was being charged didn't match the prices on the board, she quoted me again what the lady said and then said "I don't make the prices they just tell me what to charge you" lol okay sweetie. On top of that they have a huge banner outside the salon advertising holiday prices, 20% off services etc. When I came in I saw the sign closer that said you get $2 off any services over $30, I was charged well over $30 and didn't receive the discount. I wasn't going to make a big deal over $2 but why advertise discounted pricing if you're not going to honor it? read more

I have been here 3 times before my most recent visit. I come here because they have the paraffin wax with their basic pedicure. This last time was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon and this is solely for the pedicure itself and my moms pedicure. The young lady who did my toes was very nice but she ended up cutting me 2 different times. The old man with glasses and a mustache who was doing my moms feet didn't even cut her cuticles, and was rude. As we got to my favorite part the wax. They had our feet in wax for maybe 2 mins at the most. I was very disappointed, as we went to the drying station at the end my mom noticed he didn't even polish the top half of one toe and had polish every where. The lady who did my nails took the time to fix the toe and even clean up around the edges. Cleaning up another employees job is ridiculous. I really appreciated her doing that. But on top of all that, I hated my experience I left very disappointed and the polish it self isn't very good quality. I would pass on this place for a pedicure, especially if you get one of the older men who work there. read more
