Tried this place out for a 2 hour massage. I was scheduled with Richard. He has great reviews. The day of my massage I get a text telling me I am now getting a massage from Sara. Sara did the work. Started out strong with the neck and shoulders but lower back and leg work were a bit weak. She never even touched the IT bands or worked the Quads at all. Foot work was good. Had my first visit at Zen Spa for a massage. I've had many massages in my life but we moved a few years ago and it's been challenging to find a good massage at a reasonable price from a professional business. Overall it was a fantastic experience. The amenities were nice, i found the seating in thr lounge area to be comfortable. Katy was my massage therapist and she did a great job of understanding the areas that were giving me issues and did a good job of asking questions to understand whatbareas to address during this visit. I decided to have her focus on my back, shoulders and neck and not lower body, arms etc. I elected for the deep tissue massage and Katy did not dissapoint. she spent all her time focusing only on those specific areas with medium pressure. Although it was deep tissue massage, i was very relaxed. so relaxed i think I dozed off which is a sign ofnits greatness. Looking forward to booking another massage soon. read more

I had a couple's massage at Zen's Spa and it's by far the best massage, my husband and I have found in Roseville. I booked in ADVANCED because they get booked super fast, especially over the weekend. My husband and I received a swedish massage from Jenny and Sarah and we highly recommend! Both were very professional and amazing at what they do. My husband and I were fully relaxed coming out of the swedish massage. The only feedback I would say was probably keeping the rooms warm, I remembered the room temp being a little chilly. Fortunately for me, the bed had a heated warm blanket and it was much more comfortable. We will definitely be booking again soon! read more

Well I gave it 2 days for the owner to call to apologize or make things right and I've heard nothing so here i go!! I scheduled a much needed massage to treat myself on this past Friday at 2:30pm. I was running late but showed up right at 2:30 got changed and massage started at probably 2:33 and I was fine losing out on a few minutes as this was my fault and I soooo needed to relax, get pampered and get some relief with my back pain. Real problem here...the clinician assigned to me was sick. Not like she was lazy or tired but she had the worst stuffed up nose, sneezing, clearing her throat, coughing, etc. She would constantly breath in through her nose, you all know the rattling gurgling sound of someone congested, she wound inhale to stop the possibility of having her nose drip on me. Then she would sneeze, clear her throat, cough and keep going. Not one moment can I say I was able to relax. I should totally have stopped the massage but embarrassed to hurt her feelings. She didn't do anything wrong - either she needed to work to pay her bills or the company does not offer sick pay but she shouldn't have been providing a relaxing service while gurgling snot for an entire hour. The massage wasn't bad, I won't post her name but after telling the receptionist and she states she would talk to her manager I expected a call at the very least but nothing. Worst massage I've ever had and if I end up sick after all this - (oh and the clinician didn't even have the decency to put on a mask) - I'll be even more angry. Point is you pay for a service you expect the employee especially a masseuse to be healthy and not risk getting her clients sick. If I hear she may have had allergies...then she should have spoke up and not suffered without blowing her nose for one hour and instead suffering through inhaling/gurgling snot and offered to wear a mask or provide an alternate masseuse. First time client and last time client. Let's hope I don't end up sick and to the manager, a phone call to explain/apologize for this would have been the least you could have done after paying for a service I would call nails on a chalkboard. read more

I've had facials before with various spas but none as good as the facial I get from Sarah. She's the best. She has years of experience. I'm looking forward to my next facial in a couple months. I would highly recommend her. The front staff who schedules appointments and welcomes people coming in is also great especially Dolores. She's professional and sweet and so helpful. My daughter and I visited here for one hour massages. We got there 15 minutes early to do paperwork but that didn't matter because they didn't pay any attention to our preferences. My daughter said her therapist talked the entire time did not do the top part of her body. She said it felt like she just rubbed lotion on her. My therapist was six minutes late. I put medium pressure and it was soft at best. When she asked me my focus points, I said the whole body but the head and shoulders. She never did touch my head. She would push her finger on a muscle and hold it for about a minute and then rub around it. She was done one minute before the hour was up. We were disappointed. read more

Husband bought me a gift certificate in April of 2023, 15 months later still trying to book an appointment. Why is it so impossible to book a massage appt for the weekend time? Asked if she would buy back the gift card since they are booked all the time or short staffed? That question seemed to change her demeanor towards me, not sure why? I'm stuck with a gift card that can't be used at this point. Corporate doesn't answer their phone either. I schedule appointment for my daughter birthday for one hour massage and one hour facial For both of us, the day before appointment I called to see if I can add another person and They inform me that I have no appointment Scheduled. I asked them How is even possible and tell them that they have my credit card information and everything on file And their response was I'm sorry but the schedule for the next week so now all Spa are booked and I do not really know what to do, the worst thing that I already told my daughter that we are spending time tomorrow. My bf & I went in for a couple's massage. Lovely location. Friendly front desk staff. I forgot my wallet(they don't have Apple Pay) and had to transfer money to another card in order to pay. They said to just take care of it after the massage so sweet! Also, before I begin... I just want to include I am a mean reviewer. Check my track record I leave reviews that are honest and raw(one actually got me kicked out of a nail shop). So 5 star reviews are rare. & Zen Spa deserves more than 5 stars!!! The masseuses (hope that's the right way to say it lol) were so amazing. Such sweet ladies & so patient and kind! The massage was the best I've ever had! & I've had massages at multiple places (including some at 5 star resorts in the US & Mexico) but this one... was top tier. She was thorough, the ambiance was amazing & I had a crick in my neck when I went in but left without one idk how she did it! Just skills I guess! I'm pretty sure I fell asleep but I have no clue my brain just went quiet after a certain point during the massage which never happens. I work all the time so I am stressed a lot and this was just what I needed! This was my bf's first ever massage (I know.. wth???) and he said he enjoyed it also. Is already talking about when we're going back and what other massage types there are (We had Swedish ones btw.. don't ask me what the difference is bc I have no clue but baby!! This did the trick! & also, they have heated massage beds!!! WHAAAAT! So bomb. Never ever had that before! & they use warm towels & the oil smells so good. Booked a couples massage and it was the best experience for both my boyfriend and I. The masseuses were very attentive and took their time. After that first visit we started returning regularly for massages. Luckily I had one masseuse who was terrific and paid attention to my problem areas. My boyfriend had the opposite experience and did not enjoy his massage at all. He describe that she would apply no pressure after asking several times and would only concentrate on on area. Since then we've been requesting specific people to avoid this issue. Fast forward to today when I was trying to book an appointment. Normally the customer service is spot on but today when I got ahold of the receptionist we were discussing availabilities and it may have been an off day for her. She asked if I could hold which I didn't mind. I waited patiently for over 10 mins and once she returned she gave me the welcoming speech again. I reminded her I was put on hold. In a certain tone she repeated her greeting. I explained again when I was trying to schedule a massage and mid-sentence she remembered that she was speaking to me and I was on hold for some time. I booked a couple's massage. The receptionist was nice and so was our massage therapists. The problem is, our therapists did not give us good massages at all!! To sum up my husband's experience - he told them his problem areas and the massages therapist did not work on them. He says she did the "text book routine massage" and did not give attention to the problem areas. For myself, I was honestly mad during my massage. My therapist acted lazy as if she was just milking the clock. She only worked on ONE SPOT and was barely putting any pressure on me and she was not massaging me. It felt like she was pretending to massage me. She took her time adjusting the blankets which was unnecessary. What really pissed me off was when I got on my back she STILL was working that ONE SPOT on my back. I finally spoke up and told her to work on other areas. Waste of time and money. Our massage therapists were also LATE. We arrived 15 minutes early to fill out the forms and only got a 50 minute massage session. Why advertise it's an hour long massage? This was a total waste of time and money. I would not recommend this place. You get what you pay for. read more

Terrible! They do not give massages. All they do is rub oil onto your skin. No pressure at all, even if you ask for more pressure they apparently don't know what that is. Not relaxing whatsoever. Story: My wife and I booked 1.5 hour appointments for the same time but separate rooms. We both had the same experience of getting oil put onto our skin and then moved around with no pressure despite asking for more. Joe Schmo off the street could do the same thing. Despite being in separate rooms we both walked out of our "massage" 1 minute apart about 25 minutes into it. Not planned I guarantee. We were both appalled and at a loss for words for how bad the "massages" were. How do they charge money for an oil rub down? Calling it a massage should be offensive to actual massage therapists. When she finished, my face was clear from clogged pores and blackheads. In addition, tremendously reduced my stress level. While this was a kind gesture, we don't live in town, so we opted for a refund instead. The process was quick and easy. Excellent customer service, much empathy shown on her part. Everyone is human - types massages can get mixed up, time may be restricted, and communication can become confusing during the massage, but how the company responds to their customers is what is most important. Got a couple's massage. Boyfriend got the deep tissue and continuously asked for more pressure. Didn't get it. Masseuse advised him to get a deep tissue massage next time. News flash. We did. Wasn't a big deal, but extremely upset over the poor customer service. No compensation for the mixed massage - no discount, no free massage, nothing. Charged us for 2 Swedish massages instead, but really - what type of compensation is that? For my massage, I specified to have my right shoulder, legs, arms and feet concentrated on, but only had my shoulder blades concentrated on. Was unfortunate. Asked for a longer foot massage but was told I was out of time - even though I wasn't since the masseuses were late. Didn't come out of the massage feeling refreshed. More so frustrated and upset. I was turned away because I have skin cancer claiming it can spread through a massage which is entirely false. This was such a humiliating experience. I just had the worst facial I have ever had. I scheduled an appointment with Sarah, but unfortunately she called in sick, so I rescheduled with Amanda (I think that was her name). Note - normally I would reschedule, but I have a conference that I am speaking at this week and wanted glowing skin. She seemed nice enough, but I found it odd that she was wearing gloves. My god - she spent half of the time cleaning her gloves in-between steps, she ignored my nose almost completely (except for extractions), she didn't complete wipe off in between steps, and she only put in about 50% effort on everything that she did. She finished up and I looked at the clock and I had only been there for 40ish minutes (this was a 60 minute appt.). Annoyed, I packed up and headed to the front desk. Imagine my surprise when I was informed that the total was $110; apparently the facial I received was the deluxe facial. I paid and left. I looked at the pamphlet they gave me and I am certain I did not receive the deluxe facial - if so I would have been given multiple options. Super disappointed and I will not be returning. read more
