7 to 10 business days to have a replacement card mailed to me after fraud? I asked if I could have it expedited and I would happily pay the cost to do so. I was transferred through three different departments, rep, providing my information and the purpose of my call each time, and then placed on hold for 22 minutes with no one ever picking up after the third transfer. I'm told I can pick one up in the local branch But it won't have the tap to pay feature. Talk about outdated and out of touch with the times. Oh, and don't get me started on the crappy app with major lag time and how only sometimes taking a picture of a check to deposit works and other times it reason . I honestly hate banking here and will absolutely be transferring elsewhere as soon as I have the time to sort it out and make the switch. read more

WORST BANK EXPERIENCE EVER! The bankers don't update their own colleagues, Went to the Bank for an update on a loan - The person who helped us wasn't working so another Banker helped us. Turns out He didn't notify or update the banker who helped us, The Initial banker then called me back saying my Paperwork wasn't complete yet I had proof that I submitted it last month. They also hide information till after you sign documents and then say that you have to pay extra in order to keep the account withstanding. First: As somewhat new to the area...we generally use the Outside Teller Machine...very efficient and practical. Called the branch to inquire re: prevalence of "skimmers" and ATMs asa spoke to a very smart, cordial young lady who explained how Provident is very aware of and prevents "skimmers." First- parking lot was packed. - Tip: park in the large lot and walk in... I was confused by the outside teller machine...there was one very nice employee at the counter...explained the how to ... Due to covid restrictions they only allow 2 costumers at a time. This is why most wait outside and a staff is at the door marshaling the foot traffic as you enter. All wear masks and have sanitizer dispensers by the entrance. I appreciate the helpful attitude of this branch even though it is farther from my residence. I usually do transactions through their online banking which has an improved interface from a year or two ago. I am also told that although a customer's debit card is not expired they can close the card if u don't use it more often. They have perks for account holders especially if you are a union member, which is great. read more

Have been banking with them for a almost 10yrs, if your in the school system working, this is the bank to be with. Rates & whatever goodies you can think of, they always seem to be the best & beat a majority of the banks we go through. A little disappointed they don't have many banks in the area or let alone anywhere, that's the downside of banking with them but, of course they have the perks of banking outside of your bank, so many amount of Xs before you get charged. I've been a member for almost 20 years and my family has been members since before Provident was Provident, when it was the CTA credit union. I've never wanted to be with another financial institution but I'd really like to call out and send a special thank you to Personal Account Officer, Kelly Nguyen. Kelly helped my wife and I through a particularly scary incident with a very suspicious transaction from a local charity bingo that somehow skimmed our routing and full account number from a debit swipe and wrote themselves an electronic check for a few hundred dollars that we did not authorize. Kelly was very professional and calming as we explained the situation and she let us know what safeguards were in place and what options were available to us. In the end, her guidance helped us make a decision that has proved to be the right one for us. People cut into the branch manager office and no action from the manager that people are in line. The ATM have no large cases dispense otherwise wouldn't come to the branch. read more

I have banked with big name banks in the past and I almost always walked away frustrated at the end of the transaction. I came on a Monday afternoon and was greeted immediately at the door. I felt welcomed! Before my scheduled appointment, I was helped by Kelly and she was very friendly! She was able to answer a few of my questions and was able to pass me onto Charla. I initially had scheduled an appointment with Charla and I was running behind schedule.
