I was really exited to have such a highly rated dentist within walking distance of my house. I yelp almost everything (probably to a fault) and yelp has only let me down one other time. I had one appointment and will never go back despite living so close by. The office was nice and clean and the chairs were comfy. I liked that I had a dream personal tv screen to watch. Clearly a lot of money has been put in this office. However, I did not like Dr. Ara. I found him abrasive and he seemed like he was trying to find as much work as possible to do in order to make more money. I did not get the impression he cared about me as a patient. He was combative instead of collaborative about work that might have needed to get done. I also didn't like their business practices. I have insurance with an FSA with automatic payments so if I get a bill from a doctor it automatically withdraws from my FSA instead of sending me a bill (but in network dental cleanings and x Rays are 100% covered, which is what I went in for). Dr. Ara might be great and cheap if you don't have insurance, but the way he bills if you do is very shady. They don't partner with insurance companies. They are in network with no one. So what they do is overcharge the insurance company to see what they will cover and then depending on how much they cover, they decide how much they will charge you. I was overcharged by $150, so my insurance company automatically withdrew $150 from my FSA as my portion of what "wasn't covered" even though Dr. Ara was just going to drop that part of the bill, which created a huge headache between myself and my insurance company. Needless to say, I will not be going back, despite them booking me a second cleaning without asking. read more

The best day of my life was finding Dr. Ara and Dr. Ani. They are the most caring and skilled dentists that I have ever gone to. I needed a lot of cosmetic work done that other dentists had totally screwed up., While most dentists will say that they do cosmetic dentistry, they are not qualified for it. Dr. Ara and Dr. Ani are not only great cosmetics dentists, but are wonderful in everything they do. They are so thorough and kind, that it makes it a pleasure going there. The first time I visited this office I saw Dr. Ara. He was quick, pleasant, and did great work. The next time I came in, because a crown came off, I saw Dr. Ani Toomanian, who was a real pleasure and as excellent as Dr. Ara. Plus, she's very happy and efficient and as beautiful as Sandra Bullock. Who's knows, maybe she is Sandra Bullock researching a part for Horrible Bosses 3 because Jennifer Anison can't do it, I don't know. I saw Dr. Ani the third time and I have to see her a fourth time to get a new crown put on. Twist my finger. I used to hate and dread going to the dentist! I was referred to him by my cousin. His office is GREAT! They are polite and welcoming. My appointment started on time. The dental hygienist was so nice as well and her and Dr. Ara had no problem answering my questions and explaining to me what work had to be done. Dr. Ara ended up removing two of my wisdom teeth and re-doing two fillings with composite. It's not fun getting wisdom teeth pulled but Dr. Ara really made it bearable. Now I know why three of my cousins come to him. I referred a friend as well and she was happy with their services as well. Happy I found a new dentist that I don't dread going to. I first started going here years ago when another dentist did a botched job, and my fillings were popping out of my mouth. I can not say enough good things about this place! First off, the facilities are super nice, modern, and comfortable. The staff is great and you can tell they are always looking out for you. And most importantly, Dr. Gulessarian is amazing! He is always straight forward, kind, and helpful. He really knows what he is doing, and always does a great job. Also, something that matters a lot to me, is great with injections. I am terrified of needles to the point of crying and hyperventilating. When I informed him of this, he didn't do the usual thing of trying to assure me it won't hurt (which never helps, and only serves to upset me. It's an irrational fear, no point in trying to rationalize it). He simply acknowledged it, and proceded very quickly and gently. He is probably the only person ever to come near me with a needle without me launching into a panic attack. So if you're like me, going to see him is a must! I could go on forever about how great this place is, and how they make trips to the dentist something you don't dread. My only regret, is that I'm moving far away, and he can't be my dentist anymore. I was very happy with the professionalism and cleanliness of the office. All of the rooms looked tidy and clean, offering privacy and comfort. I was given a new patient appointment the same day that I called, I could not believe it! After x-rays, Dr. Ani came in to explain what procedures we would be doing. She was up front about costs, how long it would take, everything. I told her I had time to stay today, so we proceeded with the deep cleaning immediately rather than coming back for another appointment. Dr. Ani was very careful in explaining what kinds of care I needed to take and prescribed me special toothpaste. I love this dental group! They are a wonderful bunch of professionals who genuinely care about the well being of the individuals they serve. I have been to other dentists who just want to pull and cap larger cavities, this group here did everything possible to fix everything with as little down time as possible. They saved a tooth that over a year ago another dentist tried to have me do a root canal on! Crazy. I have no more pain or any other issues. They have a multiple x-ray (including very clear picture type) technology and with TVs facing the client so that everything is very transparent plus explained very thoroughly throughout the entire process. First I would like to say that the doctors are wonderful, professional, polite and courteous , however I can't say the same about their staff. They don't greet or acknowledge, and they talk to you as if they were doing you a favor. They need to be sent to some sort of customer service class. Dr. Ara Gulesserian has been my family's dentist for many years. He and his staff are always warm, friendly and very professional. The front office staff, Yvette and Tanya, always have a smile on their face and they make sure that the patient's needs are always taken care of. I love the fact that they call before every appointment to confirm...not too many offices still do that! Dr. Ara, his dental assistants, and hygienists all have wonderful people skills and they make you feel very relaxed. They are also extremely gentle and patient with kids, my 10 year old actually enjoys going to the dentist...no joke! Dr Ara & Dr Ani as well as their amazing staff have been our go to for any of our entire family dental needs & even some dental emergencies. We consider them somewhat family. I've unfortunately had to go to other dentists due to insurance purposes, but soon after realized there's no replacing their expertise as well as professionalism. Found myself running back to them after three years of tooth pain and grinding. There's no replacing talent, and decided it's better to pay cash knowing I'm receiving the upmost care, then have insurance forcefully send me to dental groups who are not even in par with them. Only after two quick & painless appointments, they were able to resolve the ROOT (pun intended) ofyears of agonizing tooth pain, and meraculiusly got rid of my severe TMJ pain that was resulted from it. They're magicians when it come to dental hygien & professional care. My life was drastically altered for the better immediately following my last visit. I can't thank you all enough. read more
