I paid $333 for a Jetty view room and they gave me the worst room they had. The room was number 157 and it had no view of anything accept the view of the other rooms which had a view. I was in that room less than five minutes and I called the front desk to expess my dissatisfaction and request another room. It was 2pm checking time so the young woman assigned me another room which she said was a Harbor view room. That room turned out to be even worse. A view of a pool fence a small glimpse of a harbor view. The room had no screen in the bathroom window which allowed pests to fly into the room and dead bugs in the tub. The toilet area so small you have to remove the toilet paper roll from the wall holder to sit on the seat. The closet doors were broken and couldn't close. The room was generally clean but my plan on staying a extra night there was out of the question. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I can't give a true review of the Ptown Inn because, despite having a reservation for our recent weekend visit (9/5-9/7), we received a call from Tyler 3 days prior to our arrival, letting us know they had no space for us, and would send us to the Harbor Hotel. Tyler was extremely apologetic and assured me that he'd treat me "like a queen" when I come back to visit, confirming my email address to send a gift card to me for the inconvenience. This was the last time I ever heard from or spoke with Tyler. Upon our check in at the Harbor Hotel, the manager there let us know he was giving us a "comp upgrade" and would call Tyler on my behalf about the lack of follow up. Our original room was a king and 2 twins. Our "upgrade" was to a room with 2 double beds ..... clearly a downgrade. In the past 2 weeks, I have sent two emails to the accounts for both hotels, and am on day six of no call back from Tyler. This is highly disappointing. We have stayed at the Harbor Hotel many times over the past ten years, but unfortunately will look for a a new go-to place in Ptown. They should value and treat their loyal customers much better! Unfortunately this will be our last year staying here. What we once loved has been run completely into the ground. The pool towels are now wash cloths, the plumbing in the bathroom does not exist, the staff are very unfriendly. The rooms do not get cleaned. I could honestly keep going but this review would be a novel. We looked forward to seeing Dano at the pool bar every year and he is no longer there either, so the pool vibes have completely changed. This Inn is at the very tip of the island. With views of the lighthouses, steps to the breakwater and minutes to both their own beach area and the Race Beach on Route 6. We got to see some beautiful sunsets - optimal viewing location, it's perfect for what it offers. The Inn by design, fashioned like you're on board a ship where the decor resembles different areas of a real ship. The beautifully decorated dining areas and multiple lounge areas for guests make each part of the Inn very welcoming. Kudos to the staff for their hard work in keeping it clean and a shout out to David, he was so welcoming when we checked in at the desk. Offered tips and highlights of town, answered our questions about which way to navigate and how, etc. He even provided a map and walked us through where certain things were. The rooms and amenities could use some updates but that remains to be seen if management wants to go that route - there are no smart TV's in the rooms, the efficiency bathrooms are a bit small and tight in space. We found it challenging for a family of four as hooks were few (one in the bathroom for towels behind the door) and not much room between the tiny sink and toilet. The door just misses the toilet. The beds are too soft for my taste and springy - each time one of us moved, the whole bed felt the movement. You could hear the springs bounce. I had an inside room where you are just off the lounge area. There are rooms that have a seaside view or beach access, you'll have to ask to reserve those. No microwave in the room, they are in the lounge areas if you need. A single cup brewer available in the room and a fridge. There are three dining sections and a Hall for more formal gatherings like for weddings (which we got to witness a couple getting married by the seaside and reception in the Hall afterwards). One dining area is for breakfast only, buffet or table service. Generous hours and a very good variety of food. We tried both on two occasions and liked everything we ate. The staff were really nice and I must say they work very hard. A few of them I saw both in the morning and again for dinner service. That's a long day. The restaurant and bar for dinner, serves a simple menu and limited fare but was very good. No kids menus here or much wiggle room for custom orders. Again, kudos to the kitchen and wait staff, working both the wedding and the dinner in the restaurant. Bikes and Scooters are available for rental on site. Just scan the QR code to rent. It's not affiliated with the hotel but they allow you to return in many places so it's convenient for sight seeing and getting around town. You're better off than driving into town ... Town parking is pricey and hard to come by if it's busy season; lots are full by 11am and we were not there during their busiest month (August). We stayed from September 1-5th (Labor Day). There are other parking lots, they just charge by flat rate vs the Municipal. You're looking at $20-$30 for parking if you stay for more than 4 hours. read more

We stayed at the hotel the second week in April. They are undergoing a major renovation on the original part of the Inn. The new owners are intending to do things slowly and to maintain the nature of the Inn. The original wall murals are being preserved. George, the evening manager, and Tyler, the general manager, both took us on a tour of the Inn and described the renovations that are being done. My wife had stayed there several times as a young girl and was very happy to see that her memories of the place were accurate. It was very nice of the staff to take the time to give us such informative tours. Tyler in particular was deeply knowledgeable of the Inn's, and Provincetown's, history. Our room in the motel section was comfortable. The bathroom was small with the toilet squished into a tiny space between the wall and the sink. Tons of hot water were available as only a couple of rooms were occupied at the time. Our room had a fabulous view right on the water. The Inn is in a great location, just as far as you can go before getting wet. It's at the very tip of the Cape. There was coffee available in the lobby but the restaurant isn't open yet. It was very early in the season, really still winter for the Cape, so we had breakfast in town, just a very quick drive or a rather long walk, away. We wish the new owners and their staff success. We'll probably go back in a year and check on their progress. read more

The staff is likely under paid, poorly trained and frankly just don't care one fuxk about your stay. I get it's old and we were roomed in the older area. But for the price point please at least pretend to care. ZERO offers of help to carry the luggage up two flights of stairs. Grossly under staffed. I have stayed at this hotel for about the past 5 years and I have been very happy here, until this year. Under the new ownership there is no coffee in the lobby and no microwave there either. If you go to the breakfast restaurant you can't even buy coffee unless you buy breakfast. The rooms have needed updating for a long time but that was OK because the cost of the room was reasonable. Under new ownership the cost of the room is nearly double with no improvements. OK to stay here but for the price you can go elsewhere and have a new looking hotel with amenities. Check in time is 4pm but don't arrive before 5pm or 6pm because the room won't be ready until at least 5:30pm. read more

Very bad rundown hotel. Besides location there is nothing good about this place. Smell bad , no hot water, broken ac, heater and table lamp in the room. Late 4pm Check in option. I saw an old Guy hit a parked vehicle with his car in the parking lot and left. And the view from the room is not worth paying $302 a night. I booked through Priceline and they booked it through booking con and did not mention anything about 43.00 daily resort fee. It's fun to report a special find on the east coast. We were looking for a last minute overnight stay and found a gem! What a fun great place. A true seaside resort. Inside it's designed with smaller intimate group seating with couches and chairs everywhere to visit with family/friends. Outside the water, pool and beach are truly wonderful. It's next to the Cape Cod National Seashore and Race Point. I'm a visitor to the Atlantic Ocean who knew the color blue could be so deep with just a promise of green? Ask for Room 12, if you don't stay in one of the ocean front rooms. Although, I bet all rooms are cozy. Great restaurant and bar. We came before Memorial Day and they had just opened. Lucky us. This place will remind you of an historic seaside 1930s resort. There is a pool too! The staff is FABULOUS from housekeeping, bartender, resturant staff, kitchen or front desk, they want to make your stay a pleasant one. Thank you! PS: check out the historic murals in the hallways! We were surprised that a $1000 hold was put on our bank account when we checked in! We had already paid for our entire stay (5 nights) when we reserved the room. Nobody at the front desk seemed to know why that astronomical amt of money was held but that it would be taken off when we checked out. In the meantime, we're out $1000. Ever woken up covered with ants in the bed of your hotel room? Welcome to the Provincetown inn. Its a large property situated on the tip of Cape Cod with breathtaking views. Badly in need of an update, anything good about this place is taken away after we woke to find our room infested with ants. Not the little ants. The big ones. The front desk staff was pleasant but not sympathetic. There was no manager on duty the day this happened to us. One wall of our room was covered--I mean covered with ants. We have video. We eventually showed it to the manager who said "we will take care of you when you check out" We were given a lesser-priced room for the remainder of our stay and were only given a refund of one night. No compensation for the fact we didn't have the best ocean view we paid for. Mind you, we had friends in SIX other rooms who all came to celebrate my milestone birthday. When we checked out, again I asked for the manager who--like before--was not in that day. No phone call even. They truly do not care about their guests. Finally, after 24 hours, they cleaned and rented our 'ant' room to other guests at an inflated rate. They won! They got out money, our 6 friends money, the money of the new guest booked and we got....a bad view and ants. I would never, ever, ever recommend this sub-par, dated property with a staff who doesn't not care--NO MATTER WHAT THE VIEW! read more

Overall a really lovely stay! Pros: the view from the room was quite beautiful even though we were right next to the roof, the bed was quite comfortable and the room itself was nice and clean, the location was great as it was a short walk into the main part of town, the staff were nice and helpful and the overall place was quaint with lots of history! Cons: the bathroom was tiny, the sink pretty much unusable due to its size and the shelf above it and the toilet paper is hidden behind the door so it was pretty inconvenient. In the bathroom too there were some spots of black mold but nothing to really be concerned about. The breakfast was completely overpriced for the buffet, especially for the quality of the food. Overall it was pleasant though! read more

Beautiful location. The place is old and could definitely use some updating. For the price I'd expect to be able to get coffee, water, snacks etc. on the property but you can't! They have a $21 all you can eat breakfast. You can't just grab coffee and something light to go. There is one beverage vending machine on the property and it only takes $1 or $5, no cards. Front desk doesn't have change. The snack vending takes card however it's broken and traps your snacks. Front desk knows and puts no sign on it. They tell you they don't own it so nothing they can do. Plan to bring your own snacks & water with you. Close to $900 for 3 nights and absolutely no amenities. I was there for a wedding. Next time I'll stay somewhere else. read more

5 stars for service and for the location. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the views cannot be beat! You can walk or ride bikes to all of the beaches, restaurants and cafes. They have an app for easy check-in/check-out. You can use it to tip housekeeping, order a bottle of wine or to ask to check in early. The guest rooms and common areas are quaint and funky and cover all of the basics (but could also use some updates). The windows open so you can listen to the gentle waves and breathe in the sea air at night. It was nice and quiet for us, too - no issues falling/staying asleep. read more

I had never been to P town and didn't know what to expect, we went in the fall decided to try this place out as it is pretty much the very last place at the end of the entire cape. Its right across from the pilgrims landing so there is history, we took a sunset walk out on the dike and hade the entire beach to ourselves. Later that night we took scooters down the road and had a nice dinner. It was much slower paced and more relaxed than I had expected. The room was clearly old but we didn't really have any issues with it. It was well kept and everything worked. The hotel had a nice hall you could walk through with some interesting displays. There was a wedding going on that night but the noise was not bad. Overall a great overnight trip. read more

This place has a great view, and rightfully so you have to pay for it. I do expect some minimum standards to be met for a premium price. We checked in but didn't really pay any mind to the room. The next morning I noticed a few things. The room was missing a shower curtain, had huge spider webs, and had a toilet plunger just sitting in a plastic bag in the bathroom. If you're a bigger person, the bathroom is very uncomfortable to use the toilet. After an hour from contacting the front desk I just took a shower without a curtain. I was very displeased and let the front desk know. I do give credit to the person in charge up front that issued me a credit of about 8%. While I appreciate the effort, to me that wasn't enough even though I didn't ask for any refund. I won't be back and do not recommend. read more

Great stay at this spot! Ice machine had the good ice, even better than Papa Gino's ice! The hotel had a very historic and haunted feel. I am pretty sure a ghost kissed me on my forehead in my sleep which made me feel very welcomed. Overall a lovely experience! read more

We have stayed here each summer for the last 9 years. This is our last! Check in was way too late. Our room had no wash clothes, cups despite having a coffee maker. The floor had more sand than the beach. Our last night we arrived back to find the A/C stopped working. We paid $400 a night plus resort fee charge. I've stayed at Super 8 hotels for less than $100 that were nicer and cleaner. We called to speak with Cheryl, the hotel manager but she was elusive and would not return our phone call. The front desk staff gave excuses and basically refused to let us speak with management. PLEASE, do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay at this outdated run down hotel with a horrible staff. Lovely pool and extremely helpful staff. Roxann Parchment went out of her way to help with an incredible unacceptable parking situation. We paid $10 for parking and got trapped because the parking lines were atrocious. With a car parked in front and behind we are going to miss our flight home. I don't understand how this situation came about. We have alerted the staff and the parking staff was useless. Wonderful facility but beware the parking, you might miss your plans. read more

This was the worst inn we have ever stayed at. The rooms cost $300 per night and we paid extra for harbor views. We let them know when we booked that we were coming with an infant and needed quiet rooms. We waited an hour past check in and when we finally got to our rooms we discovered outside our rooms was a huge party tent totally blocking our view and very noisy. We looked at this place as a potential wedding venue and didn't choose it, but it would be a great option for another couple. We also stayed the night. Ceremony site: This is where this place wins tons of points. It's gorgeous. Green lawn, white arch, blue water and skies behind you. Absolutely gorgeous. You could also do it on the beach, but the couple would be on the beach and the guests sitting on the grass about 15 feet away, so it's a bit less intimate. Reception site: The outside option would be awesome here-- tent on the lawn. However, the tent cost is about $5000. The inside reception room is not that attractive. It has some ugly beige window drapes, and just overall doesn't have a great feel. Hotel: We stayed in some the cheaper rooms, which were small and a bit run down but perfectly clean and serviceable. There are some murals on the walls that show Provincetown way back when. They are... a bit cheesy. But kind of endearing. The views are fantastic, and it's a peaceful little stretch of Provincetown. Overall: This would be a great place for a laid-back wedding for a couple who could afford the tent option. read more

My only complain was the drunk men who kept dancing outside and throwing sand at my window. And the mermaid statue in the hallway that I think may be possessed. read more

Ok, you can't come and stay here and expect to have the same experience as you would at the Four seasons or the Fairmont. This is essentially a motel with an ocean view. For this review, I went during the off season so things may be different in the summer. First the good: -The price, can't beat 200 bucks a night for an ocean view -You are right on the bay. During low tide the water recedes and you can walk on the marsh. At high tide, I have seen people swim in that same area. -Cool weather, didn't even need my AC -There is AC in the room! -Nice scented shampoos and body washes -Fantastic view of the night sky. I saw lots of major constellations -Fantastic amount of parking -Right next to the hike to Long point lighthouse -Very easy to drive in, you just follow the major highway all the way down -Nice and pleasant staff -Nice patio to sit and enjoy The neutral -Very old furniture -Old carpeting -Wild animals roam around. Mostly seagulls, you can see seals in the water at high tide. Once we were sitting out side and a coyote walks right past us. I'd advise NOT eating out on the patio. Those seagulls are vicious. -At this time, due to COVID, their bar and restaurant were closed so I can't write anything about them. -You have the specifically request a hair dryer -the rooms come with an iron and board The bad: -There was literally black mold on the door of the bathroom. Not all the rooms have ventilation in the bathrooms. There is no motor vent and the window the bathroom faced the public hallway so it was painted down and sealed shut. -The walls are SUPER thin. I could hear EVERYTHING my next door neighbor was doing. And it wasn't even their fault. It was very clear they weren't shouting, however, even talking at a normal tone or having the TV on in a normal volume can be heard next door. So yeah, I do believe a previous reviewer about hearing their neighbors having "a good time." Luckily my neighbors were asleep by 11pm but I can only imagine how terrible it would be to be next to late night noise makers. Overall, it really depends on what you are looking for. All iI cared about was a place to sleep and a room with a view. Everything else matter very little to me. This place met those requirements. If you are wary of noisy neighbors or of older furnishings, not that well kept up on types of places, you will be disappointed if you stay here. If you enjoy a nice water view, excellent parking, great views of the sky and don't mind less than stellar accommodations, this is well worth the price! read more
