The food here is fine, flavorful. However, the portions are not generous, which would not be a problem if the service were a little less "hipster" (read: "I'm too busy being hip and cool to properly serve you, in a timely manner, and in a way that makes you feel welcomed") and a little more "welcoming". The person who took our order was dismissive, got our order wrong and then - when we got our order with items missing - the general attitude was along the lines of "too bad, so sad, you can just re-order, although it took us way too long to bring you a simple order; we're just too cool to show that it could possibly be that we misheard". No one in our family minds imperfect service, middling food, or a wrong order. What we do mind is when we are prompted to tip for someone handing us a basic pastry or serve us a meal and they can't even be bothered to be attentive, kind or gracious. This is the type of place that has finally convinced me that tipping for NO SERVICE has now become too much - if you can't smile as you hand me my croissant, I have to get my own water, and I am encouraged to bus my own table, them what the bleep am I tipping for? Sheesh. That being said, the food is not bad. It's tasty, but not amazing. The ambiance is fine, "bistro lite" - sort of a cross between a bistro and a college coffee shop. read more

Tell me why their food is drenched in lemon? It's not good...the French toast is weird af. My avocado toast was guacamole bruh so lemony. Idk tbh, I mean the breakfast sandwich was good and the potatoes and little sides or whatever but I think their coffee is just mid and I did not enjoy the French toast and avocado toast and I'm sad about it. I'm usually here with a small group every week for work meetings. It's conveniently close to campus and there's a decent amount of seating for us all to comfortably gather. The breakfast sandwich is really popular with the group, multiple people order it every time we're there. But I have a real gripe with their matcha. I don't know if it's because of the way it's being prepared, if it's maybe not the best quality matcha powder, or perhaps both? But it's not good. Everyone in my group who's tried their matcha latte has been really disappointed by it. It often comes out super pale and with clumps of unmixed matcha powder in the drink. Matcha is super popular right now so I think it would be worth investing in and selfishly, I'm here a lot so I just want access to a nice matcha. read more

Key university district E. 13th Ave. block, gateway to campus getting revitalized with two new large buildings in this area. Provisions 13 cafe and bar are a major stopover. Service still a little sloppy and slow. Cold air blowing on people's heads sitting at tables, and the staff is clueless about it, in spite of complaints. That needs to be addressed. That rest of that block must be revitalized. read more
