This is my 2nd or 3rd time dining at this restaurant and we always have the BEST service! The bartender is amazing (I wish I knew his name). He's always so attentive and such a perfectionist! The food is amazing and the ambiance is superb! This is truly a must dine when you're in the Ft. Wayne area.

Service was great and prompt despite a full house for brunch on a Saturday! Casual upscale ambiance with soothing decorations and music. Service was great and the food was delicious!

Our waitress was one of the kindest that I've encountered in a long time which was wonderful. The food was also delicious! The plantain dish was very creative (and spicy). My husband loved that it was true plantains.

So this is my first return to Proximo for many years, and man, I can't believe I waited so long to come back! Wanted to do something special for my dad's birthday, so we booked a brunch at Proximo! When we got there, immediately I felt like my family and I were at ease. Everyone was lovely and got us seated! The interior is bright, and there is indoor and outdoor seating if it is nice enough outside. We decided to take from the brunch menu--everything was good! My mom got the dulce de leche French toast with berries, which was sweet but very nice if you're in the mood for some great French toast. My dad got the breakfast tacos with chorizo--while the meat wasn't super spicy, it did make my dad drink a lot of water! I got the chilaquilles with carnitas which were good--but I felt like there could have been more sauce soaked into the chips or added to the dish before serving. While it had a large portion of meat, only one egg and not a ton of sauce made the dish get a little dry as I was eating it (and used some of my dad's breakfast taco salsa to help with the liquid for the dish). Overall, dishes were enjoyed, so I'd love to return to try more off the menu. I will say there was one crowing jewel of our time at Proximo--the dessert! We got a Torta de mil hojas, and it was a towering delicious cream puff-esque concoction. We all said we didn't have much room left in our bellies... But somehow this entire tower was eaten. I wouldn't miss it if you can get to Proximo! Oke thing to note about Proximo--parking is all on the surrounding streets. Not terribly hard to find, but be ready to walk a bit from your car on case you go downtown during busy times! Thanks for a great return, Proximo! Hoping to get back again soon!

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! The location along with the ambiance is perfect for a date night or family outing. Food is always on point and the bar area is top notch. They never disappoint

A great ambience and plenty of seating! We were able to get a reservation for our party of 6. Their scratch kitchen elevates the experience of Latin cuisine. I'm usually wary of ordering chicken breast but the Cuban chicken was cooked to perfection and the flavors all paired so nicely.

Food was amazing. Service was amazing. Alex, I love you! Alex is the best bartender and Thane is the best manager of any establishment ever. Also, one of the chefs is really hot, I don't know his name though. Best restaurant in town. Thank you for the best experience a girl could ask for.

We had a great time having brunch at Proximo! Our server was awesome and very attentive. We decided to split the garbage skillet, and instead of making us split it, they brought out two smaller skillets, which was very nice. They even boxed up our food for us when we finished! We'll definitely try to come back next time we're in Fort Wayne!

First time and the food was SO good, the service on spot and the setting was nice (we sat outside on a Sunday morning) and so peaceful. Simply enjoyable and recommended.

We ended up at Proximo and were pleasantly surprised. My pork chop was good, but the corn risotto was amazing. Shrimp and grits were also a hit. Good food, just a bit noisy with a service slip.

Went here for brunch on Saturday and it was amazing! Food is made to order and from what we could gather they will make it your way to the best of their ability. Indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. The eggs Benedict plates are fantastic... we tried the salmon and the carnitas versions and both were fantastic with the carnitas version winning the day!

The restaurant is very well-decorated and is clean for the most part. The only knock I have is that the space can be a little tight with the amount of tables, so it isn't extremely comfortable, and the service is just decent. If you don't care about those things, and just want solid food, this place is definitely a 5-star.

As an avid lover of Mexican food, my boyfriend has been searching high and low for a place that he can frequent for a good meal. After trying a few other places, we decided to try Mi Parrilla on a whim after a long day at the local zoo. We walked into a lively interior, with ample seating and comfortable booths. Our waitress was friendly and prompt with checking on us before and after we ordered, and we were quickly settled in while waiting for our meals. I haven't had a lot of experience with Mexican cuisine, but I love birria and wanted to try that here; as for my boyfriend, he got a chimichanga. We were immediately impressed at the portion sizes when the food came out - everything looked amazing! And honestly, these are the best I've had so far. They were crisp, filled with meat and cheese, and so flavorful. My partner was also very satisfied with his food, saying that this would probably become his favorite spot in town. We'll definitely come back to try more of their enormous menu!

This is easily one of the top Mexican joints in all of Fort Wayne. It's a huge restaurant that was surprisingly dead for lunch, granted it was a Monday. It's a nicely decorated place, the service was friendly and really fast (food was out in less than 10 minutes), and the food was simply awesome. Their chips and salsa are outstanding... I could literally drink the salsa. You get a ton of food for the lunch portion (way too much to eat in one setting), so I can only imagine the size of their dinner portions. $30 for lunch (2 people) is a steal in today's restaurant price-gouging times. CDM might be our new "go to" Mexican joint, and it's certainly our favorite on the NE side of town.

We sat there and looked around but no one stopped over. There was a 6 top, 3 top, and 4 top there. The restaurant was pretty empty. So we left and the hostess who sat us said "have a nice night, and I told her no one ever came over" The chips were fresh but that's all we received. The restaurant was dead and quiet. There was no reason no one waited on us.

Wow, very nice and also delicious. Their menu is amazing. Wide array of Mexican seafood dishes. They also have some non seafood options if needed. But when you see a seafood heavy menu at a restaurant, you *really* should get it. I focused on their new menu of shrimp dishes. They included head-on shrimp, in the shells. I wasn't sure I wanted to work for my meal and get messy. But damn, that Camarones al Cilantro (shrimp with cilantro) looked fantastic. I hemmed and hawed and decided I would order it along with some guacamole to get some vegetable material in me. When it came it was piping hot. Couldn't eat it, so focused on the guac for a bit. As the shrimp cooled I went to town on what may have been the messiest meal of my life. (Do NOT order unpeeled shrimp if you are on a first date or a job interview) Let me tell you - these shrimp were unbelievable. They were swimming in sauce and as I peeled them, i then dipped and chowed. The cilantro/chili/garlic? sauce was off the charts good. The onions and cucumber buried within it were also a nice discovery as I made my way through this mountain of a full pound of shrimp. It took a while and the sauce dripped down to my elbows at times. It was a caveman eating experience and it was probably the best Mexican dish I have ever eaten. It was probably a good thing I was eating alone. I don't see any other way to eat this unless you're a psychopath crunching through shrimp shells. But leaving those shells on keeps the shrimp moist as they cook and more importantly it keeps the shrimp flavor from cooking off into the sauce. Shrimp with the shell on do taste better - they are not just being lazy here. This meal was great and I would love to go back if I'm driving through again. Thank you for this!

Inside, the decor was on point, authentic feel with ceramic pots, handcrafted decorations, and little details on the walls that make it feel like Mexico. The staff was nice too. They don't waste time with small talk, but they're friendly, efficient, and the food came out surprisingly fast. I ordered two asada tacos and two cabeza tacos, and let me tell you... they were so good. They came out piping hot with grilled onions on the side, which was the perfect finishing touch. Both tacos were packed with meat. The asada was incredibly tender with those slightly crispy edges from the grill that added so much flavor. The cabeza was just as impressive. It was unbelievably soft and almost melted in your mouth. Add a little salsa, a bite of the grilled onions, and everything came together perfectly. The onions added just enough sweetness to balance the savory meat, making every bite even better. This is exactly the kind of taco spot I love finding. Definitely I'll be coming back.
