Came here for a friend's birthday brunch on a Sunday. It was packed! But for good reason. The ambiance is great! And the food was amazing! I had the bread basket and the bougatsa French toast. Both were delicious and the portions were large which I was pleasantly surprised to see. I'd definitely order both again. I also got a side of fries. Super cute brunch place! Love the vibe here. Very cute and thought out decor that makes you feel like you're in a vacation Greek spot rather than Tampa. Very diverse menu even though they specialize in baked goods and breads. Make a reservation for the weekend! Our server was very friendly and there was a very diverse crowd with the restaurants between customers and servers very LGBT friendly which was nice to see. The back of the restaurant patio is a nice space for event and just sitting. Their lattes are good sourced from bandit coffee and standard coffee art. The baklava simple was unique as well as the two different kinds of cookies served with each of the latte's. The normal latte came with an apple sesame cookie that was weird at first bite but then was pleasantly delicious. The baklava latte came with a twisted looking cinnamon shortbread cookie that was very good as well. They do a great job with their presentation and baked goods here. The tables are set with glassware and silverware on small plates with a paper place setting when you are seated with a napkin that says their name on it. The lox bagel sandwich is pretty epic! Not the easiest to eat but full of flavor and beautifully presented. The eggs Benedict is served with their biscuit which is more like a bread but absolutely delicious and different than anything I've had before as well as their "homemade" bacon which is very thick sliced pork a little bit on the fattier side and topped with a white sauce rather than a Hollandaise sauce. It was a very unique and delicious take on the classic eggs benedict also perfectly paired with a side mixed greens salad perfectly tossed in some sort of light vinaigrette. A bit salty but was a great side to have with the Benedict. I will definitely be back especially for their unique brunch menu! read more

I'm not a person to complain or leave a bad review by any means, but I am very frustrated and upset with Psomi's owners/management that I want to share my experiences. Occasion 1 (January 2020)- Me and friends went to grab brunch, we were greeted by our server with some water and told us he would come back for our drink orders. 20 minutes later he shows up to take drink orders and by that time, we were ready to order food after the long wait. One of my friends asked if she was able to do a substitution on her food and he wanted to ask the kitchen before giving us an answer. Around 30 minutes passed, and our server is nowhere to be seen. We still hadn't gotten our drinks or put in our food orders and had been sitting there for 45 minutes. I went to the hostess area and explained the situation and asked if she could get our servers attention or send us a new server. We ended up getting a new server that mentioned our drink ticket was lost hence why we never got anything. After an hour of sitting there we finally got our drinks and then 15 minutes later our food. During our wait one of the owners came up to us to apologize for the experience and proceeded to ask us "Can I get you a free dessert?" We all said no because we were starving and just wanted our food. She said "I'll get you guys something before you leave." But quite honestly I think our food or drinks should have been on the house for over an hour wait. We got our checks and absolutely NOTHING was taken off, which obviously annoyed me because by the time we even got our food/drinks we didn't enjoy it. The owner also never came back with whatever she was wanting to bring us. So $60 dollars later I left irritated and slightly angry and absolutely nothing was done for the ridiculous experience we endered at psomi except for a "sorry." Occasion 2 (6-4-20): I really wanted to try a dine-in experience again because there bakery is delicious and the establishment is beautiful so today me and my friends tried it out again. Our server was great and took our drink and food orders quick. I got a latte and the chicken souvlaki. When I started eating I noticed the texture of the chicken was off but disregarded it until I got to the middle of the sandwich and bit into a larger piece of chicken, realizing it was raw. I have a very weak immune system and stomach so naturally I started getting very anxious that I was going to get sick. I told my waitress and she took one glance and knew what they served was not acceptable. Another one of the owners (different one from last) comes out and apologizes and says that they'll remake it and if we'd like some cookies for the inconvenience? We said no. Then my friend noticed that her chicken as well was not cooked. It wasn't until then that the owner said they will take both our chicken souvlaki's off our bill and remake it for us. Even though we both said we didn't want new plates, they insisted. After taking forever to make the new plate we asked them to pack it to go (even though I had no plans of eating it). I would have rather them just comp the whole meal or surprise us with a dessert instead of asking. I ended up paying $20 for my drink, and a take home dessert that they didn't even offer to take care of, not to mention they charged me for a side of tzatziki that I didn't even get to eat. Again I left feeling irritated and angry. In BOTH situations they didn't even offer to take care of ANYTHING. Also after looking at all the reviews on YELP and google the owners only reply to the 5 star reviews. There are several reviews that sounded very similar to my situations but the owners chose not to comment or instead reply back angrily. I would really appreciate I response and the situation to be resolved appropriately. read more

Gorgeous restaurant. Came this morning for breakfast. We ordered bagels and eggs and some salmon. The bagels were served about 20 minutes before the eggs were, which was really awkward for the table because some people had to wait 20 min to eat. I ordered salmon with a bagel and finished the bagel before the salmon came so I had to cancel that. They forgot to bring the salmon to the table for the other person at my table who ordered it with eggs. The bagels were good but unfortunately the service was terrible. And the food is fresh, flavorful and perfectly portioned. We had the eggs Benedict (pro tip: you can get one bacon and one salmon) which was really great. We also got the blta with an egg on it. The French toast was some of the best we have ever had, with custard between layers of fresh bread. Saturdays there are 5 dollar mimosas, they definitely do not skimp on the champagne here! My new favorite place in a of Tampa Bay! First off, the design aesthetic is AMAZING! It is so clean, airy and bright plus you can tell the owner did not skimp on the budget. Now for the food: I went here twice in 1 week with my husband and we got different things both times. Everything has been so delicious. From the thyme and honey biscuit, to the avocado toast, to the souvlaki or dolmades...everything is top notch. Their breads are to die for and they are all made on site in the cute little cottage right off of the restaurant. I love their outdoor seating area and the whole vibe really feels like you are transported somewhere else and not in South Tampa. The owner and her family are very nice and the owner's father told us they have been working on this restaurant for 2 years. IT DEFINITELY SHOWS! I placed a telephone order for delivery to feed 8 people. The order was placed at 9:15am and I requested delivery between 11:30am and Noon. After noon had passed, I called the restaurant 3 times and reached their voice mail. I could not leave a message because their mailbox was full. The food was finally delivered at 12:45pm. We ate immediately upon delivery. There were several items that were delicious, but several were a big disappointment. We ordered 3 BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado. The bread was so hard/overtoasted that we could barely bite it. The avocado was not ripe and had no flavor. 2 - Avocado Psomi. The avocado was not ripe and the bread was hard and overtoasted. 2 - Grilled Octopus Horiatiki, the octopus was overcooked. 2 - Greek Dip, the bread was burnt around the edges and so overtoasted and hard that we had to go to Publix and get new bread. The sandwich filling was very good. The au jus dip was tasty, but extrememly salty. The Tzatziki with Pita and the Potato Salad were good. The Arni (shredded lamb in a phyllo turnover) was DELICIOUS! 5 stars. The Spanakopita was the BEST we ever ate, 5 stars (These two items and the pastries saved this rating from a 1 Star overall. The Bougatsa was a 5 star; the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie, White Chocolate Cranberry Cookie, and Chocolate Chip Cookie were all outstanding. It is a shame that the first four items were prepared with so little attention to detail. Conceptually, those items were creative, but the execution was very disappointing. Not what we were expecting, based on the reviews. They need a wakeup call in their kitchen. We came in for a late lunch yesterday for our first visit. We were wowed by the atmosphere, service and food. We sat at the bar and Katerina (sp) took amazing care of us. She was an absolute breath of fresh air and well versed in the menu. I know it's particularly hard for businesses (especially now) to find and retain top talent and we often revisit restaurants more for staff and atmosphere than the food believe it or not. My husband and I usually don't break from our pilgrimage to Tarpon Springs for our Greek food fix, but decided to give this place a try. We came on on Saturday during the lunch rush. Parking was tight. We were seated in 20 mins. Service was quick, attentive and very friendly. We split the dolmades, the pork gyro and the baklava coffee cake and it was more than enough food! The dolmades was fresh and balanced. The gyro was lighter but a satisfying spin on the usual lamb spam gyro. The baklava coffee cake was a huge portion and soooooo good. It took some control not to finish it but I didn't want to be uncomfortable. We will definitely be back to try other items, including the spanakopita. This is a modern take on Greek without sacrificing the traditional flavors. So happy this place is close to home! read more
