Located in the Brickell City Centre, this sushi spot is conveniently located on the 4th level by the CMX theatre. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. It was a busy Thursday night when my guest and I arrived. We sat in the bar and we ordered a few appetizers such as the spicy edamame that some spice to it (we are used to spicy so it wasn't too hot at all), shishito peppers, miso soup, and kimchi fried rice. The latter of the three dishes was served without the requested egg but the food runner was quick to bring it back with it right away. The restaurant has adequate seating and it has a comfortable setting with excellent air conditioning. The staff appear to work cohesively well with one another and that made the experience smooth and enjoyable. The dishes were overall tasty and it was a good place to dine after a busy day. I also noticed they had a margarita special early on in the week and am very intrigued to try that next time!
Pubbelly sushi in Brickell was a great experience. The restaurant was a trendy atmosphere very casual, but still nice restaurant. I went for drinks at the bar and had appetizers. I unfortunately did not photograph the short belly wontons. They were phenomenal and I will definitely be returning for those. The drinks were also very good. We were at the bar and it was a fantastic experience. The bartender was extremely friendly and made great recommendations for our drinks to pair with our food.
Overall, a lovely sushi spot in Brickell City Center. Excellent service (shout out to Lauren), and great tasting sushi. The regular menu pricing is not competitive, but if you catch their Happy Hour or the Monday/Tuesday 12 dollar rolls deal - it's worth coming. We had an early dinner on a Monday night (btw, that's probably the only Japanese place open on a Monday) - and the place was full of customers.
Wasn't planning on eating here, but it was a rainy day on a holiday weekend so all the restaurants in brickell city center were super packed with 1 hour+ wait times and this was the only place where we got sat immediately. Upon arrival, the host immediately greeted us and sat us at the only available table which was right behind the host stand outside on the patio, which was fine. With so many restaurants with long waits we were just happy to be sat, no matter if the table wasn't the ideal spot. After we were sat, it took forever for our server to come greet us. When she finally did, she basically asked us what kind of water we want and said she would be back but I made her take our drink orders as well as we had already been waiting for a decent amount of time. After we got our drinks, she took our food order. When the food came out, it was a little messed up. 2/3 of the people at our table ordered nigiri but they brought it all out on one plate, which wasn't an issue but we didn't know what was what. When we tried asking the man who brought the food out to us what was what, he must have misunderstood and he just took the food back. He then returned and had plated all the nigiri on their own separate plate. We didn't ask for this, we only were asking what was what. As for the food, I got the crispy hamachi and the tuna nigiri and salmon nigiri. The tuna nigiri had a super weird ketchup-like sauce on it which was kind of nasty, however, the salmon nigiri was super delicious and buttery. The crispy hamachi was also super delicious. I also enjoyed my drink which was the La chula. I don't think my 9 pieces of sushi and 1 drink was worth $80 but that's Miami for you. My friend also got the bang bang shrimp tempura pieces and we didn't realize it came with blue cheese crumbles on it so that was pretty nasty and inedible. All in all, this place was not the vibe. Service wasn't that great, it was kinda dirty, and food was overpriced for not being that great. Will not be back.
Used to frequent this spot several years back and I'm glad to see it is still around so gave it a try again this time around and overall I feel like the quality of the food has dropped significantly. In 2026, where consumers are looking at prices more closely than ever, Pubbelly misses the mark. It's not the worst experience, they do have some great cocktail options like the milky way cocktail. And the Japanese fried chicken is juicy and cooked perfect but tastes almost blank. Flavors are definitely not a thing here, prices for the portions you're getting you can get a better deal at several other locations, and lastly the service is questionable at best. The restaurant is not packed and you will notice several staff working, they really have a large team here which is great but why is the food, drink, and service so slow with so many people working here? Overall, not the best food, not great, just okay.
On a dreary Sunday, we were walking Brickell City Centre looking for a place and decided on Pubbelly as they had no wait. It took a while for a server to come over, and we threw in some drinks and an order of the Pork Belly Gyoza. The drinks took a while to come out, but were tasty. The Gyoza was fine but not my favorite. It took a while for the server to come back over to take our actual food order. I did the Crispy Yellowtail Nigiri and Buffalo Rockshrimp Tempura. The Nigiri was good, but the shrimp had blue cheese that was not listed on the menu and was not great. The rest of the food at the table was also hit or miss. Overall, would skip this restaurant if you are looking for somewhere to eat in Brickell.
I like the ambience here... the outdoor seating is cute, but it's generally hot and muggy (they do have some fans but I'm not a fan (pun intended) of my food and I being blown on during meals. The ambiance inside is nice and this place is generally easy to get in and seated quickly, it's the wait and service once you're seated that tends to be a little slow. The drinks here are good, and they do have a decent happy hour, offering a little discount until 7pm on a selection of food and drinks which is nice.. though make sure to check your bill after as the happy hour pricing wasn't reflected so we had to request it be updated. The food here is fine but nothing special really, so I generally just come here when someone else asks to try it when we're already at the mall. I do think the kids meals here are really good though-- the portion is a good size and the options are great. My kids are picky eaters and both ate most of their food, which were healthier options than most places, so that's a win!
My friend and I sat at the bar on a Tuesday early evening and were met with some great deals. All the handrolls were $12 and they also had happy hour deals. It was great! My friend couldn't drink any alcohol and asked for a mocktail, when I tell you I wanted to give back my beer and order the same refreshing cucumber concoction is an understatement. Sara, our bartender, also overheard us say we were celebrating a big and scary health related milestone for my friend, and surprised us with her favorite dessert, bread pudding. The rolls we ordered were delicious, the service exceptional, and the overall experience was definitely something I would like to repeat.
Iveth was our server again this year. She was great and very attentive. Got to start and end with crispy hamachi. We ordered the grilled octopus. Once again perfect. We had the white hot roll, very good and a nice sweeter taste. Spicy tuna roll was very good too. We tried the featured brickell roll. Highly recommend! Very savory. Ambience is very cool.
With so many sushi spots in Brickell I am usually not a fan of fusion style sushi with tons of sauce and cream cheese in the rolls but I decided to go into pub belly for happy hour to see what they offer. When was liking in you definitely get those asian vibes with the decor and the low light atmosphere perfect for a date. Above all I can say I was not disappointed with anything I ordered even though I didn't have their sushi. The octopus was cooked to perfection which is not something said lightly. It was tender and juicy and wasn't over cooked and chewy. The short rib dumplings legit blew my mind. Topped with Parmesan cheese to give it a blast of umami that I wouldn't have thought paired together but man was I surprised. The pork belly gyozas were also a big hit in my eyes. Pan fried just enough to have a crispy exterior without ruining the interior. Sitting at the bar the service was great! Very attentive, welcoming, and providing insights to the menu you wouldn't know unless you work or are a regular. I am pleased to say that I would recommend Pubbelly to anyone looking for great food and drinks on any given night.

Came for dinner with friends to celebrate our friends engagement on a Friday night. We did not have reservations but were accommodated outside as it did not seem so busy that night. We started with a lychee martini which was stiff and perfect. We ordered a few rolls and dumplings to start such as the crispy salmon roll and the short rib & truffle dumplings. The dumplings were amazing. As for service, not sure if it was an off night but the second round of drinks never came, our crispy salmon roll never came as well. For the roll, I had to ask the waiter and even so it took an additional 10 minutes. We had an avocado allergy in the table as asked if one of the rolls can be modified and were told no as they're pre-made which seemed odd the roll took 40 mins to arrive to the table. No biggie though as many of their other rolls do not contain avocado which is nice. As we sat outdoors, it was nice to people watch and feel the cool Miami breeze that night. The indoor is also decorated nicely. Overall nice experience.
Fantastic outpost of this sushi chain in Miami's glitziest shopping mall. The food, service and location are close to perfect. 5 star food: the sushi rolls are the star of this show: spicy veggie and hot summer rolls were terrific. The edamame was also terrific with what tasted like a meat flavoring mixed with the salt. 5 star service: our server was attentive and friendly. The front desk staffer was also great. 5 star ambience: it's on a quieter side hallway of Brickell City Center, with just enough bustle to have good people watching from an outdoor table

We finally had the opportunity to try Pubbelly Sushi at Brickell City Centre for happy hour recently on a Friday. We got to the bar as Happy Hour started and began reading the menu. The ambiance was lively and what one would expect for a restaurant at Brickell City Centre. Trendy music was playing as other patrons began to arrive for dinner and happy hour. Our server, Sean G, welcomed us and asked us if it was our first time at Pubbelly. We said yes, and he immediately explained everything on the menu and gave us some recommendations for both food and cocktails. He was very helpful and warm throughout the duration of our stay. He even allowed us to sample two different kinds of sake to help us decide on our order! We started off the evening with the Spicy Edamame, which was free with the Yelp check-in offer, along with a Teasy Bear cocktail and a glass of Heaven 12 Junmai sake ($9 each). The edamame had a generous portion of cayenne pepper on it, so if you are not into spicy, this isn't the appetizer for you! We are just suckers for both edamame spicy so getting it was a no brainer for the both of us. As for our drinks, my fiancée's Teasy Bear was very sweet (made with Junmai sake, green tea syrup, honey and fresh ginger). My glass of sake was generously filled to the brim, and was crisp and refreshing! As for food, we ordered the following: - Salmon Tartare Taquito ($14): very fresh, but the "weak link of what we ordered, in my opinion. The dish itself was good, but this was just a salmon taco. I would order something else next time before re-ordering this item. - Butter Krab Roll ($14): Oh. my. Lord! This is THE roll that put Pubbelly on the map. Who knew that a roll stuffed with hefty serving of imitation crab with some warm butter could be so good?!?!? We could've ordered 5 of these. This came with 4 pieces. - Crispy Salmon Roll ($14): another very good roll. This roll came with 8 pieces made with cream cheese, avocado, eel sauce, spicy mayo, crispy panko. Yum! Overall, a we had very chill, delicious and filling happy hour at Pubbelly Brickell City Centre! Considering the prices of the rolls on a normal day ( they average about $19), I'd recommend that you did what we did and give their happy hour a try first. It won't disappoint! We absolutely LOVED our experience at Pubbelly with Menrique as our server. The food was incredible! Highlights are probably the hummus, big eye tuna, and corn but everything was great. The drinks and the environment were also amazing in every way, we can't wait to be back! And last but definitely not least the service was AMAZING. This place was packed on a Wednesday at 2pm. I wanted to quickly grab sushi for lunch before a work meet and it was really busy. My bartender/ server Kimberly was very sweet and attentive. She made the experience and reason why I gave 4 stars. The kitchen was slow so be warned- if you're on a time crunch this isn't for you. I just ordered one roll- the sake aburi. Texture wise, the inside was kind of springy like Dimsum lol, the seared salmon on top was perfect though and the flavors were really good. Pubbelly is an awesome spot for inventive and fresh sushi rolls and other fusion-y Asian foods. Icing on the cake is they're a South Florida business - always awesome to support local! Some of the highlights from my last visit were the short rib and truffle dumplings (so rich and flavorful), the butter crab roll (so tasty and buttery - as the name suggests!), and the hot summer roll (a nice, lighter roll with fresh hamachi). Located at the very top of the shopping mall (i got lost trying to find it) I liked it had outdoor and indoor dining options; we sat inside at a corner booth Since it was Art Basel week they had two limited-edition menu items that was only available through Dec 10th. It was their Tora Doya Crispy Rice (crispy rice, toro, ponzu, wasabi sauce, caviar and chives) and Starry Night Cocktail (rum, apricot liqueur, pineapple basil puree, yuzu juice, and wasabi syrup) The tora dish presentation was beautiful and tasty! Definitely eat right away as the crispy rice can get hard once cooled The starry night cocktail was a bit strong and a bit on the bitter side for me. I also tried their famous Butter Crab Rolls and Two Timing Tuna Roll! The butter crab roll was cool idea but it was a bit too much crab and I felt the dipping butter not as flavorful as I expected. It's located all the way up on the last floor of Brickell Centre with lots of outdoor and indoor seating. I went there with a group of friends and as soon as we arrived we were greeted with a friendly host who took us to our table and got seated. I'll just say everything we ordered was delicious and I don't think you can go wrong. I started with the ichigo old fashioned which was different from others I r had but still really good. Everything is shareable and comes out as they're made so you don't get everything all at once. Happy hour here are my favorites, the prices are so reasonable, the portion sizes are great. My favorite on the menu on any given day is the Tostones Con Ceviche , it's delicious, the ingredients are flavorful, it never disappoints. The Spicy Edamame with a sweet spicy chili sauce was great. The Salmon Tartare Taquito was chef's kiss, very delicious. The Chicken Yakitori had great flavor and of course one of my absolute favorite the Miso Black Cod melted in my mouth. Happy hours drink prices are also great. Go for happy hour order the small dishes, a few drinks for a reasonable price with great delicious food. Jenny was awesome! We'd been out to a few spots already and I really just wanted a satisfying meal. Sat at the bar and had their fresh onion miso soup which is a mix of my 2 favorite soups which was delicious. I got the sake aburi roll in which I tasted the truffle - doesn't always happen when ppl say there's truffle but it was definitely there. Amazing ambiance, food, service, cocktails & location! We had the most incredible lunch here last Saturday! We came for the happy hour menu and even though I was disappointed in the selection of sushi on the menu our meal was still incredible! Seriously some of the best sushi I've ever had!! I ordered just a basic spicy tuna roll off the regular menu since it wasn't on happy hour. It was phenomenal! My husband had the crispy salmon roll & said it was the best roll he's ever had! HIGHLY recommend the watermelon basil margarita! My husband also LOVED the Ichigo old fashoioned that was on the happy hour menu. I tried it also, soooo yummy! We easily could have drank four of these drinks each but we had to drive back to Orlando. We also tried the spicy veggie roll. I think this was the star of the show! The presentation was beautiful and it was sooo delicious for a veggie roll! We ended up ordering a second one. Fortunately our server was very happy to bring us another roll. We came here for my daughter's birthday dinner. The restaurant has a nice decor that gives it a cool vibe. We started with the edamame- portion was pretty small for what I am used to when ordering and the smoky salt wasn't on all pieces. We had ordered the truffle dumplings, the waitress forgot to put it in and brought it out once the food was ready. These were my least favorite part of the meal, it had a weird texture and the flavor was not good. Surprise favorite of the table was the tofu hummus- it was silky and had great flavor. We ordered a few different rolls- all pretty good- just not large portions again. We also ordered a steak- it does not come with any sides so we had to order separately. I was expecting more to be honest. I have tried Pubelly in Miami Beach and it was fantastic, the chef there knows what he is doing. Here at this location, we sampled their Miami Spice lunch offerings. We sampled the vegetarian Miami Spice lunch and also their meat Miami Spice lunch, here at Brickell. NORI BUTTER EDAMAME - green edamame, nori butter, kizami nori, sea salt. These were far, far too salty, and we could not tell there was butter on them. LOBSTER DONUTS - citrus lobster, spicy honey, chives. These were delicious, the favourite of what we sampled hands down. Apparently, they are considering adding these mini balls of donut with lobster to their regular menu. And they should as they are an innovative idea, and it surprisingly works! HAMACHI TARTARE BITES - yellowtail, onion, lemon, rice tostada, crispy garlic, cilantro. These were ok but did not blow us away. SHORT RIB BAO BUN - shiso chimichurri, crispy potato, micro tendril. We were really disappointed with these. The bao bun was warmed too much to the point that the outside was toasted and made the bun dry. Also, the buns felt even drier as there was hardly any sauce inside. SMOKE SALMON ROLL - homemade smoke salmon, cucumber, avocado, truffle caviar. A decent enough roll, but it was lacking something and I am not sure what. The service was also hit and miss, we were never brought ginger slices or wasabi. Once re quested them, the ginger brought out the flavours for this roll. To be noted though the ginger etc came too late, as we had eaten most of it before we got it. Also, our server brought out our mains without having cleared away our appetiser dishes and it was such a hot mess, trying to add that to our table with no space. We also noted that plates were brought out from the kitchen and sat for some while in the service area before being delivered. My son (who is a server) said he noticed a five minute lapse. MISO BREAD PUDDING - chocolate miso custard, brioche, banana, peanuts, sesame. This was our favourite dessert. Creamy, indulging, I dare you to try. MASON JAR - salted caramel, strawberries, matcha. Another decent pudding, however for me I did not think the strawberries sauce actually went with the other flavours. In short when I want Pubelly, I won't visit here again but will frequent the Miami Beach one that does it oh so much better. read more

Meh... a "sushi restaurant" without hot sake on a cold winter. They don't bring out the ginger and wasabi...unless you flag down a server and ask for it...oh ...the "friend rice" was soggy and had an oatmeal-like texture. The only redeeming quality was the screaming orgasm sushi roll and the server was nice. That was excellent. For us- it is not worth the price. We won't be back...unless they start offering hot sake and they figure out the fried rice thing. Good luck! read more

Good service, but food was a miss for the price. I ordered the aburi sake roll which was supposed to have salmon on top, but each piece barely had a sliver--less than an inch long and wide. It felt more like a decoration than an actual topping. The flavor was fine, but for the price ($19), I expected way more. At other sushi spots, the plates usually come with wasabi and ginger, but not one of our plates had any. Probably won't come back unless they step it up. I'd rather go to an authentic sushi restaurant than a fusion place. read more

I have become a frequent flyer of Pubbelly. Yes, it's kinda pricey BUT I always feel like I'm getting my moneys worth here. The sushi is great, the cocktails are great, service is great. My favorite bites here are: Wagyu tartar roll- Comes with an egg pouched in truffle oil.. need I say more?? It's a delicious and rich roll that I haven't found anywhere else! Big eye tuna roll- If you like crispy rice, you'll love this one Salt and pepper squid- Different from what you'd get a Chinese restaurant. The pieces are meaty and seasoned perfectly Drinks- The lucky cat and blackberry mojito are my go tos If you're worried about the price, come during happy hour. Came here for an impromptu date night, our server was so nice and attentive and had us laughing all night. I had a strawberry lemonade not pictures and what I liked was how dolled up it looked, it was also very fresh and refreshing. Pictured is edamame, pork bao bun and shrimp tempura roll. The bbq salt on the edamame was a great touch and really added nice flavor to it. The shrimp tempura roll was fresh and I loved the sauce that was on the shrimp, I believe it was a mixture of spicy mayo and maybe some eel sauce. Came with a group of 6 to try the Miami spice dinner. Pubbelly does it a little differently so you have once of everything that's on the menu (like a tasting) we also ordered a few things from outside the Miami spice as well to get to try more things. We started with the famous butter crab roll which was pretty good but I'm pretty sure it was imitation crab. The tuna pizza was MAGICAL, will definitely be back for that. The Miami spice selection was pretty good but the winner was the bread pudding dessert. It really knocked my socks off! Pubbelly is a great stop while in Brickell City Centre if you're looking for sushi and a spot to eat and fuel up for more shopping! We tried the vegan pizza, the baby bok choi, the kids' california roll box, and a few drinks. Everything was super tasty and delicious! The bar tender even made a lychee mocktail for my little one upon request. The milkway sake cocktail and spicy tuna roll were my favorites. The ambiance was chill, without noise being super loud, and our server was very patient and friendly answering all of our questions. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautiful! This location is on the top floor of the Brickell Mall. We stopped by for happy hour and ordered several things off the menu. They all came quickly and were prepared beautifully. The flavors were all so different and unexpected. We ordered the Korean Bravas, a slightly spicy mix of 3 types of roasted potatoes; the Big Eye Tuna roll, 3 pieces of delicate tuna on top of Crispy Rice; the Japanese Fried chicken, provided with lettuce, Kim cheese, and ginger sauce to make lettuce wraps; as well as the Spicy Edamame, which were cooked to perfection and topped with a sweet, smoky dry rub and flaky salt for a savory, not really spicy taste. They currently offer a Butter Krab roll as a thank you for checking in and it was so good! It was almost like eating lobster. A very unexpected flavor but filling and delicious. We also tried two of the sake options on the happy hour menu, they come in a small pour glass for about 3 ounces of sake per serving. All their sake is served chilled. We preferred the Soto with its soft, smooth mouth feel over the Hakusturu with a sweeter taste. Definitely recommend coming! Beautiful art work, friendly staff and delicious food. Such a cute sushi restaurant in Brickell City Center. More than enough seating inside and outside. Has an artistic vibe throughout. I didn't order much but I do recommend everything I did have. Butter Krab Roll, Tuna on Crispy Rice and the Spicy Mighty Coco Mocktail. If you're a fan of crab you'll enjoy the Butter Krab Roll. The bites are huge so take your time with it. I really haven't seen this anywhere else and was pleasantly surprised with how tasty it was. Can't go wrong with the Tuna on Crispy Rice especially if you like truffle oil and I think this is great for sharing.. I love when restaurants offer a selection of Mocktails for us NON drinkers who still like to feel included and have options besides water and sodas. I think the drinks here are absolutely fantastic and I had the sweetest bartender last night (can't remember her name though, but she really took care of me). Yesterday one the drinks I had was the lychee coco martini. Gin-based (which I prefer) tasty and absolutely gorgeous. I'm still not sure how I feel about the food. I had the yellowtail roll which is drizzled in truffle oil and tempura flakes. The oil smelled heavenly and the rice was warm which was nice, but the yellowtail was weirdly minced and looked like imitation crab meat. I first tried Pubbelly Sushi when they opened their first location on the Beach. I loved the experience and applauded the creative and innovative dishes that were served to us. The Pubbelly group has continued to grow and expand their presence in the Miami food scene, which can be extremely competitive. This past Saturday we decided to go for some dinner at the Brickell City center location. The exterior of the restaurant is very hipster and laidback. The menu here is sushi with a twist with some Latin ingredients. We ordered several dishes to share such as the Tuna pizza, ceviches with tostones, yellowfin roll, shrimp tempura roll and a lobster roll topped with ceviche style garnish. I was really impressed after all these years the food was still excellent, bursting with flavor and quality. Everything was very fresh and the portions were very bountiful. Our server was super friendly and brought all our plates lighting speed. I made a promise to myself to not wait another ten years to come back for more Pubbelly sushi!! read more
Pubbelly Sushi is a great spot to visit first thing I am going to highly recommend it to make a reservation since this location is at the Brickell City Center it can get very hectic. This was not my first time visiting but my first since 2019. We had reservations and the hostesses of that night sat us down as soon as we got there. We were provided a choice inside or outside which I thought was nice to provide us that option. Our waiter greeted us immediately and was very nice. We took about 5 minutes to look over the menu (which is not extensive but great that it's not) and made our decisions. Here is what we ordered and our thoughts on them based on our experience: - Pork Belly Gyoza - delicious, very nice flavor - Tostones con Ceviche - tostones were amazing the ceviche was pretty good but was missing that zest in the flavoring the traditional ceviche has. I still recommend ordering it. - Spicy Edamame - I don't eat spicy and it was very good and not spicy at all. I ordered it because I checked in with Yelp that was a free appetizer. - Crispy Salmon Roll - delicious and the only thing is that they added way too much spicy mayo (see pic), less is more I think it was have been amazing if the Mayo didn't over power the other flavors in the roll. - Butter Krab Roll - delicious and recommend if you're a Krab water this roll is very generous so you better love it lol. Overall The restaurant would have earned 5 stars but i lessened it by one because our waiter we were assigned was in between shifts and he disappeared for a long time (over 20 mins) and only after we ate all our food I had to go get someone they were like oh here's your new waiter. Lol. When a waiter is in between shifts they should go to the tables they are serving and say here's your new waiter for the night in the event you need something. Something to that affect. I do believe this was just a one time situation but unfortunately was our experience. I still highly recommend a visit. read more

Fun, creative sushi rolls and great cocktails! Absolutely loved the unique rolls that we got to try here. The must haves include the butter krab rolls with the clarified butter. They literally melt in your mouth! I wished we would have ordered 2 of these, but we wanted to try different things. The other roll that blew us away was the wagyu beef tartare with the truffle poached egg. It's like steak tartare in sushi form! From the appetizers, we loved the shishito peppers with the pistachios. From the mains, the miso black cod was super flavorful with rich umami flavor. We did not love the filet mignon. Quality was not great, so would not order again. If you leave room for dessert, the miso bread pudding is a fun dish with lots of different flavors and textures. Drinks were incredible! My favorite was the watermelon sangria! The lychee coconut martini was pretty good too. Service is was just average, nothing special. read more
