Whatever C.J was saying its because he was drinking waters at a bar the whole night and then proceeded to ask for another dude for a drink cause he didnt have the money for it. So when he was giving an attitude it was because he was being a stanky fool himself, dont stand outside and say "i've been waiting for my water" like youre not even paying for anything. After 4 fricking waters. He gave a stank attitude in response and he was rightfully "served" with a stank attitude back. Bartender got him 4 waters. And then proceeded to try and rush the bartender for another water when he wasnt and didnt even tip the bartender for her service. Just another salty customer that wants to cause problems.

Bar Area, perfect lighting & Great Vibe

Great Bar, Bartender had acceptable service for how busy it was and also took the time to chat with the obvious out of town customers me and my friends were. Very great vibe for a Saturday night. Good Drinks, Good People, Young Crowd and Solid Music Night & Day difference from what we experienced down the street. Recommend if you are from around the area and even if you are just visiting. Other Customers and the Bartenders treated me & my friends with respect, when you could tell we were not from around town. Appreciate that.

We were the only customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night, yet it took over 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive our food. Even then, at the 45-minute mark, only about 40% of our order arrived. For a party of six, our order was not particularly complicated: two burritos, two taco meals, a chicken sandwich, and guacamole with chips. The remainder of the order did not arrive until the 1.5-hour mark. To make matters worse, my son's meal was incorrect when it finally came out, adding even more delay and frustration to an already lengthy wait. Throughout the wait, there were no drink refills, no updates on our order, and little attention from the staff. We also received no napkins or serving utensils with our food and had to ask for basic items that should have been provided from the start. The dining experience itself lacked any atmosphere. There was no music playing and no television on, which only made the long wait feel even longer and more uncomfortable. As for the food, it was lackluster and underwhelming. Tortilla chips and fries were burned. Bun for chicken sandwich was not warmed. The dishes were very basic, with little presentation or attention to detail, and they certainly did not justify the extended wait. What made the experience especially confusing was that this all happened while we were the only customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night. A simple order, an empty dining room, no communication, no refills, an incorrect meal, and a 90-minute wait just didn't make sense. The only positive aspect was that the restaurant is dog-friendly. Otherwise, this was one of the most frustrating and puzzling dining experiences we've had in a long time.

I've been here several times now, and I've genuinely enjoyed the dishes. That said, even though everything is still very good, some of the menu items have changed. I just wish that when we told our waitress we'd been there before, she would've mentioned that some menu items were updated. We ended up ordering our favorite items because the names were the same on the menu, but the descriptions (how it was prepared) were different--so we didn't think to look closely at the descriptions. For example, the crudo is now a salmon crudo with capers. Before, it was tuna with cucumbers, which I honestly love and prefer over the salmon. The chicken dish was also switched up. When I told friends who haven't gone yet, they were disappointed as well. The chicken dish is now a mushroom sauce version, and we definitely tasted it, but we weren't expecting it to be different when we ordered. Since there are a lot of regular customers, I think it would be helpful to mention when some items have changed, especially when the names stay the same. We didn't even think to read the descriptions because the names looked familiar.

When the food was delivered to the table, 3 of the dishes were correct and the fourth one (mine) was the wrong dish. I thought the runner may have grabbed the wrong dish and mine was still in the kitchen and would've come right back out however it looks like the wrong dish was made so I insisted my other three friends eat their dinner and mine finally came after they were more than halfway through. My dish was the ravioli and it was good not great. It was also lukewarm once it was finally delivered and I did not want to send it back again and wait even longer to eat. My friends ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese, Pasta Primavera and the Cacio e Pepe. They enjoyed the Primavera and the Bolognese however they said the Cacio Pepe lacked flavor. Before going into this restaurant, I read the reviews and was skeptical, but wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. I understand they are working on improving things, however for me personally, I will not be recommending this restaurant to my friends and family. I may try the Huntington location as that has a better reputation.

The staff was nice but seemed unprepared and unsure and no one knew the specials, no one could answer a single question, and everything moved at the speed of a snail!!! on!!! sedatives!!! And honestly, the food is just not good. Nothing stood out, nothing worth waiting an hour for, and definitely not worth the price. And the thing is... if they were busy, I'd honestly be like "okay, fine, it happens." But I was literally 1/3 tables in the whole place. Hard to give any grace when it's that empty and still this bad!!! When it's finally Friday and you're excited for dinner out... this ain't it!!! No wonder OpenTable offered me 1000 points to come here lol. Update: We were so over it that we asked for the dessert (included with the prix fixe) to go. Ended up eating it at home in sweats and that was actually the best part of the whole night. The s'mores cookie skillet wasn't bad. So yeah... 2 stars instead of 1 and both of those stars belong to the cookie!!!

Dining at Plori was Pure Pleasure . Same Plori, New Glory!…read more Plori has long been one of my favorite Mediterranean gems on Long Island. But after spending some time as a Florida snowbird, I hadn't visited in quite a while. I'd heard the buzz -- new staff, new chef ‍, new partner/manager, refreshed decor -- and wasn't sure what to expect. Change can be unsettling, but the recent reviews intrigued me. So I went back... with hope, curiosity, and a healthy appetite. Our party of five was seated immediately by a kind, reserved host named Fonda (no, not Jane or Henry ). I shared my past fondness for Plori with him, and he assured us we were in for something special. And we were. The decor now feels brighter and more elegant, lighter color tones, sculpted drop ceilings -- a subtle but classy update. The service? Gracious and warm. The food? Next-level. Fonda and I even bonded over restaurant stories, the kind of personal connection that makes you feel you're part of something special. He truly wanted us to see how Plori has evolved -- and wow, has it. We started with warm, crusty rustic bread paired with a velvety hummus spread -- the perfect Mediterranean welcome. Then came the Plori Chips: thin-sliced zucchini and eggplant , lightly fried and seasoned -- golden, crisp, and addictive. Next up, grilled octopus -- tender with a charred kiss of smoke , served over a vibrant bed of roasted peppers , onions , and fava bean purée, topped with a drizzle of sweet balsamic. Every bite was a flavor bomb . The Horiatiki Salad was a garden of freshness -- juicy tomatoes , crunchy cucumbers , briny olives , green peppers , and thick slabs of creamy feta , all sprinkled with Mediterranean herbs and bathed in luscious EVOO. Simple, bright, perfect. Then came the entrées and they were spectacular. Plori's special signature lobster dish was the star of the night. Bathed in a creamy tomato -feta sauce and flecked with parsley , it was rich, tangy, and indulgent -- so good, three of us ordered it since no one was willing to share! The Alaskan halibut was a stunner: thick, pan-seared to perfection, resting on a silky vegetable risotto with a savory lobster jus. The seafood flavors danced on the palate like a symphony -- a true standout. Also worth mentioning: the Lavraki (Mediterranean sea bass) -- simply grilled, flaky and sweet, the essence of the Aegean Sea on a plate . But the real showstopper? Dessert.! And not just any dessert... Plori now boasts desserts by legendary French pastry chef François Payard (yes, that Payard -- formerly of Le Bernardin and Daniel!). His creations are absolute masterpieces. The chocolate mousse was pure bliss -- dense, rich, and dangerously addictive. The fig cake was divine: chewy, fragrant figs layered with fresh fig jam and dusted with powdered sugar. And the pièce de résistance? A whimsical take on strawberry shortcake , layered with a crisp, straw-textured pastry nest . Creamy, crunchy, and insanely good. Off-the-hook delicious . Service throughout was smooth and attentive -- Mathew, our server, was a total pro. Friendly, efficient, and spot-on with recommendations. So, if you've made it this far, let me say this: Go back to Plori. Better yet, run. It's not just as good as you remember -- it's better. Don't forget to scroll through the pics -- they'll make you hungry all over again. Enjoy!

So far, so good. Then we were seated in the back corner by the kitchen. What followed was a parade of waitstaff bumping into me as they came and went, and an uncomfortable chair that made the meal harder to enjoy than it should have been. Location matters, and this one was a miss. The menu is focused -- if you're a steak purist, you'll appreciate the no-nonsense approach. If you're not, you may find yourself with limited options. The French onion soup to start was disappointing: overly salty and not the warm, rich opener a steakhouse should nail. Our table had mixed results with the mains too -- the ribs came out dry, and the skirt steak was so heavily marinated that the meat itself got lost entirely. That said, my ribeye was the bright spot of the evening -- cooked exactly as requested with a beautiful crust. When they get it right, they really get it right. Our server was attentive and genuinely great throughout, which kept the experience from falling further. A place with this much word of mouth should be more consistent. I wanted to love it. Maybe I just need a better table.
