I sent a review for Erin at the Clinton Md location. Erin appear to be a helpful employee there. He continue to ask me to send a review. I sent a review based on the communication with her. I needed my things moved from one unit to another unit. Someone was going to charge me this ridiculous price. Erin found out and ask me how much. I provided the price and she said her and her brother could move me. Long store short she took my money and never completed the job. I reached out to Public Storage and because she/he did it on their day off it was nothing they could do. Writing this so you will not end up like me. Do not utilize this facility or company. They are untrustworthy. I am missing thousands of dollars of items, and the property manager at the Clinton location (Blindine) has not taken any action to assist. When I asked about missing items, she stated when things are "abandoned," we put them in the trash. But I never mentioned abandoning items. Are you telling me this company does not attempt to locate the rightful owners? (RED FLAG) Blindine immediately went on the defense when asked about my goods. The more I talked with her, the more she seemed suspicious. I followed Public Storage's outlined resolution for stolen goods; I filed the police report. They have done nothing but go through the motions. I contacted the district manager (Fred Johnson) after several calls and complaints to customer service, he returned my calls. He was polite, but I feel never vested in watching the cameras and gathering information on my loss. This facility is not fully monitored, and Mr. Johnson reported he couldn't find any footage. I requested they contact the renters on the floor that accessed the facility on the day of the loss around that time frame to ask for assistance. He reported that two renters accessed the floor on said day, and staff doing regular floor sweeps ... you make it make sense! It's been nearly a month, and Mr. Johnson has not followed up on my claim. Bottoms line! If it's important, keep it in your possession. Do not feel your stuff is secured based on the area, a gate, and janky cameras. This company is not committed to resolving theft because they profit from other people's property. The cameras are limited and useless. The security gate is constantly malfunctioning. Their app technology is so antiquated that their IT department cannot fix issues. No restrooms are available onsite without a key; good luck finding someone to open the door for you. There are never any moving resources conveniently available to renters. All hand trucks must be exchanged for your license in the main building; staff gives an attitude if they have to get up to open the connecting door to the facility. So they try to make you walk around half the building to access the elevators. Lastly, after months of renting, they will up your contracted monthly fee. read more

This Public Storage location is the best I have ever witnessed. I went in looking for packing materials, and Blendine and Sylvia were most professional and courteous in handling my needs. I also inquired into the prospect of renting a storage unit. Blendine explained the process for renting storage units, and convinced me that this is the location I want to use. I wish that 2 people were always working so one could walk the grounds and another could be at the desk. Also 2 people working is safer. The process to order my unit online was practically seamless. The only challenge I experienced was locating my unit building, otherwise access to the facility was smooth and my unit was easily accessible and clean. The monthly fee is a very good value for the size of my unit (10' x 15') Would definitely recommend Public Storage. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. But the reason for my low rating is I've had previous storage units in California and Texas and every time I have an issue it's taken care of right away as soon as possible. However, with this storage place I came across a person who happened to have the access code to this place. This dangerous person kept visiting my unit as I was away on business travel, I ended up with a police report, and these people still refused to change the access code. Had it been Texas or California the issue would've been resolved asap especially when I have over $5000 worth of things. The premises are supposed to be climate controlled, my 60 inch 4k T.V ended up damaged due to the humidity. The bathrooms are always dirty and stinky. Worse customer service. After bait and switch, had to move into unit different from one shown after paid movers. Rent increase of $99 and no cap on increase. It has been a fiasco with Public Storage. If I could give them a -5 star review I would. This place is a joke from trying to get in a unit and now this..... It's 6:50 pm on a Wednesday this location closes at 9:00 pm me along with 5 other cars cannot get into the property all of our codes are saying "access denied"....called the 1-800 number and was told this location will not re open until Friday morning (tomorrow is a holiday 4th if July). We're heading on our way outta town for The holiday weekend came to get some things we needed from out unit and now that we cannot get in will have to go buy it. This is completely unacceptable!!!! We should have got notice gates are broke or codes aren't working and the property manager wasn't going to be there until the location closed. We pay good money to rent a unit and to not be able to access it during hours we were told we could is unacceptable ESPECIALLY before a holiday when they're closed completely the following day. Poor poor poor business! The property manager should be ashamed of themselves leaving people hanging with no notice and leaving. Stay away. Public Storage - Self Storage Near Me - Clinton, Maryland

A little over 18 months ago I was planning a move to Europe for a few years for my job and needed to store belongings that I was not taking with me. I selected this location because of the highly competitive online price and because of the strong brand. I have since learned how they are able to offer such competitive prices. In the 18 months since I first rented the storage unit, my monthly rental price has been increased twice. I am now paying 35% more per month than when I first signed up!! Buried in the fine print of the contract is language that says they can raise the rates when they want and with no cap on the amount of the increase. This was not explained when the staff was reviewing my contract with me, and I did not read all of the legal language myself. Please make sure you are aware of this before signing your contract and beware the low introductory rate. It won't last! read more

The staff here is extremely friendly! My unit isn't huge but it works for me. Caught a deal online and I only pay $50/mo. It's a little tucked off but if you're familiar with the area you shouldn't have any issues. I missed the driveway a few times coming around the corner too fast. LoL Facility is clean, temperature controlled. Satisfied! Office closes at 6p but you can access your unit until 9p. read more

The first place I called didn't have the size unit I was looking for. They offered me the next size up, when I told her the price was to high for me she was able to find a location close by that had the right size unit for a reasonable price. I was very pleased with her and was able to get everything done within an hour. read more

On 4/23/18 my storage unit was broken into . The ceiling was knocked down , debris everywhere and my all in one computer was missing. I immediately filed an insurance claim with Sedgwick . They I informed me that my coverage was cancelled in October and never reactivated . Now I've learned it policy that employees advise when insurance has been removed . I've immediately asked the property manger to have the regional manger ( Fred ) to calll me. He never did . In August of 2018 I faxed and mailed a certified letter to public storage headquarters. That is the only reason Fred called , 3 months later. He asked me to send pictures , which I did and he promised to have the hole in my unit fixed . I dropped My key Monday 8/25 . I then Called Nd texted Fred repeatedly he never responded . I had To call customer service and recieved the number for I assume Fred 's boss. He inturn answered , sorry I did not get his name and told me he would have Fred call me . Almost immediately I got A call from Fred , how ironic . He then told me the vendor , not him , told him water cause the damage . Did water steal my computer . The property manager already stated there had been multiple break ins. Other staff members gave labeled this Fred gentleman as rude,non Chalant and lazy. I've called several times with no avail. His voicemail stays full and he won't return my calls. This is my first formal complaint and I plan To pursue as far as I can Go. read more

I was referred to this location from a nearby location. I am so glad, I was directed to this location! Felecia was very friendly, professional and understanding. She understood my concerns of placing my valuabes in storage, besides strongly encouraging me to buy the shrink wrap :) she eased my uneasiness explaining the managment of the facility. The facility was very clean and although I was a little disappointed my unit was not a drive up unit; I was satisfied with the upkeep of all the indoor units. Upon signing up, customer service forced me to purchase a lock for $17 or $18 saying that it is the only lock that will fit on Public Storage doors. It would have been nice to know that before I showed up for my appointment with all of my stuff in tow. Now, I have only been with them for 6 months and they are already increasing my rent! I'm so disappointed in my experience here. I felt like my concerns weren't address. I'm entire roof caved in , drywall was everywhere, I notified about the issue no one offered to fix this, just "I'll let them know" while my things were broken! I know I refused the insurance as Felicia reminded me it was my fault that it did. If pointing out the obvious and not doing anything about a concern is a good customer service . Beware of their reviews that glorify by name the coach and provide there own, that why there all positive BEWARE check the photos. Wrong is wrong! read more

Sorry to say that this was the worst experience I've ever had with a self storage company. My unit was always flooded from rain and the whole building was spider infected. My initial impression was good in terms of general customer service when establishing the account, the property is clean, and the staff are helpful. But since being in the unit there was a water leak that has created damage to my property. I opted for the insurance coverage and would recommend that everyone do so. The problem is I have the largest unit they offer with an entire house inside. I'm told the I would have to incur the cost to move from the unit that leaks to another unit. I feel that this move should be at the expense of Public Storage; and they disagree. I was not informed of the leak although they say neighboring units had the same issue and the leak has now been fixed. In the meantime, I have no way of knowing just how much damage is happening to my property. Again, get the insurance if you rent from this location. read more

Morning, I've been renting a unit from the Public Storage at 7975 Branch Ave Clinton, MD 20735 and yesterday (October 28, 2017) I went in to close out. I arrived at 10:35 am. I spoke with the person behind the counter, her name was Felisha and she was the only person working behind the counter at the time, I was the only customer in the building. Felicia pulled up my account and asked if the unit was empty, I said yes, and asked if I'd removed the lock and I said no. "Don't you have to inspect the unit first?" I asked and Felisha said yes, go open the unit and I will meet you over there Ms. Ball is what she said so I did. The interaction in the building took about 5-6 minutes. I know this because after drove over to the unit I called my husband at 10:46 am. So then I just waited. I waited another 25 minutes, call the office and Felicia answer the phone. I said hi Felicia, this is Adonica Ball, you were suppose to meet me at my unit? Felicia (and I'm paraphrasing): Yes Ms. Ball, I haven't forgotten about you I've just been really busy, but I haven't forgotten about. Me: Ok...do you have an estimated time when you can come over? Felicia: I will be over as soon as I can I've just been really busy. So I get off the phone a little irritated but then remember she was the only one I saw so maybe she did get caught up. So when I see her coming on the motorized cart I am ready to tell her I'm sorry she's so busy and I wish she had more help but it's not her, it's someone else (talking on a phone) who just looks at me and says "your good Ms. Ball, I'll meet you at the front". Ok, help must have come in. I know this is long but this is the part that really pissed me off. When I got back to the building and walked in there are now 3 employees there and Felicia is leaning against the wall eating cheese curls. She yells across the lobby to me, "I'm sorry Ms. Ball, I ain't gone lie to you, I did forget about you!" She was laughing about it. Really, you waisted and hour of my day, LIED ABOUT IT, then told me you lied and laughed in my face. "I was feeling guilty and I couldn't just lie to you, I did forget you" I'm PISSED!!! What makes what she did funny? If she is the manager as her card states what kind of example is that for the other employees there? She could have just kept with the lie I would have known no different. I believed her and felt for her. The level of disrespect she showed me and the unprofessionalism she uses representing this company is unexceptable. I WILL NEVER RENT A UNIT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE AGAIN. Also, living in the Clinton, MD area if anyone inquires about needing a storage place or I even hear general conversation regarding storage units I will tell them about my experience at the Public Storage 7975 Branch Ave Clinton, MD 20735-1626 and my encounter with Felisha and recommend they go else where. read more

My mother rented the unit the latter part of 2011. The customer service rep Felicia was very nice and professional when she set up the account for the rental. My mom had the smallest unit, and usuall y Public Storage would only charge you a $1 for the first month's rent. What turned us away from Public storage and made us not do business with them is around mid-2012, this location experienced a break-in. The burglars broke into the storage units through the roof. So Public Storage employees were notifying customers to come to the location to check out their rental units to see if they are missing any of their belongings. The only thing that we were missing was a moving cart/dolly. And the storage employees found that in the hallway. The burglars were using the cart to move heavier items. Public Storage turned our cart over to PG County Police. After a year or so, we never received the cart back. We paid over $75 for that cart. Unfortunately, our insurance lasped on our rental unit. When we called to see if the police officer handling the case dropped the cart off back at the location, one of the employees got salty with mom when she asked about it. After that experience, we stop dealing with Public Storage. read more
