I provided the price and she said her and her brother could move me. Long store short she took my money and never completed the job. I reached out to Public Storage and because she/he did it on their day off it was nothing they could do. Writing this so you will not end up like me. She presents herself as a male which i thought she was but they are a female. I paid for a truck that she tried to get me to pay more. Not sure what she did afterwards. When I asked about missing items, she stated when things are "abandoned," we put them in the trash. But I never mentioned abandoning items. Are you telling me this company does not attempt to locate the rightful owners? (RED FLAG) Blindine immediately went on the defense when asked about my goods. The more I talked with her, the more she seemed suspicious. I followed Public Storage's outlined resolution for stolen goods; I filed the police report. They have done nothing but go through the motions. I contacted the district manager (Fred Johnson) after several calls and complaints to customer service, he returned my calls. He was polite, but I feel never vested in watching the cameras and gathering information on my loss. This facility is not fully monitored, and Mr. Johnson reported he couldn't find any footage. I requested they contact the renters on the floor that accessed the facility on the day of the loss around that time frame to ask for assistance. He reported that two renters accessed the floor on said day, and staff doing regular floor sweeps ... you make it make sense! It's been nearly a month, and Mr. Johnson has not followed up on my claim. Bottoms line! If it's important, keep it in your possession. Do not feel your stuff is secured based on the area, a gate, and janky cameras. This company is not committed to resolving theft because they profit from other people's property. The cameras are limited and useless. The security gate is constantly malfunctioning. Their app technology is so antiquated that their IT department cannot fix issues. No restrooms are available onsite without a key; good luck finding someone to open the door for you. There are never any moving resources conveniently available to renters. All hand trucks must be exchanged for your license in the main building; staff gives an attitude if they have to get up to open the connecting door to the facility. So they try to make you walk around half the building to access the elevators. Lastly, after months of renting, they will up your contracted monthly fee.

Our billing date this year was Christmas Eve (12/25/24) and she called, threatening to lock us out of our unit. We assured her we will have it paid by the first - like we have done every month for the past 2 years. The bill was paid 01/01/25 and her argument was "nobody was working that day, so there was no one here to take the lock off." She presumptively had us locked out of our unit. We arrived at 1030 on 01/02/25 and she still wasn't on site. When we confronted her about this issue, she was rude, petty & and argumentative. Then she took 20 minutes to walk down and unlock our unit. Next time, I'm bringing bolt counters and leaving the cut lock right on her desk.

We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

Patrick and his crew, Renaldo, Nitua, Gerand and Kevin, exceeded the already high expectations I had based upon the reviews. I will happily recommend Bookstore to family and friends and will never use another moving company. Their strength, kindness, commitment and pride in their job and the company, organization, efficiency as a crew (this was amazing to watch- they just flowed as a team of 5 and Patrick was an excellent leader!), was consitent and apparent throughout the entire time they spent with us. I really can't say enough good things about the experience and hope to work with them again when we hopefully buy a place and move in the next couple of years. I moved this past weekend and hired Bookstore Movers for the job. I can honestly say I was blown…read moreaway by the professionalism, efficiency, and expertise of the moving crew. I worked with a different moving company 2 years ago that left me scarred for life with how rude and unprofessional they were. I ended up having to finish the job myself (moving my giant couch up four flights of stairs), so when I knew I was moving again, I did my due diligence and sought out a few quotes. Another company quoted me almost $800 and required a 3 hour minimum for the job!! $800 seemed steep and I knew the job wouldn't take that long... Along came Bookstore Movers who quoted me a reasonable $470 minimum for two hours of work and a maximum of $680 for 3.5 hours of work (price breakdown: $140 per hour with 2 hour min. plus a $190 truck fee). I received a quote within a few hours of requesting it. There was no deposit required and the date was booked. I received detailed emails leading up to the move about FAQs, tips for a seamless move, and the names of my crew including contact info for the crew lead. Abdul (crew lead), Niiwayo "Y.O", and Milly were SO fast and friendly. They wrapped every single item with care in drop cloths and got to moving immediately. Despite the 90 degree heat and a total of five flights of stairs, the job was finished in 2 hours. I was SO impressed. I was so traumatized by my last move that I literally had to walk away while they moved the couch in but before I knew it, I got a text from my boyfriend telling me they had fit it through the door and our living room was all set up. I was so relieved and happy to work with them. If and when we move again, (hopefully not anytime soon, lol), I will 100% be contacting Bookstore Movers... and you should too!

Even having their tenant protection plan it's mandatory but then they want to low ball and not pay out when you have damage that's over the maximum coverage they don't even want to give the maximum coverage you paid for. It's crazy and just see for yourself. I have videos for days and pictures and eye witnesses. I got sick after moving my things out just from breathing in those conditions it was insane. I have been going back and forth and I am fed up. This place is awful and yet it is new, how did they have a messed up roof already resulting in damage and then giving tenants a hard time with paying them out for the damages. Beware of this place thing twice before or you may have to get a lawyer to help you and sue for even more since they don't want to pay out with proof. The black stuff you see in the photos is mice/rat poop some of it is wet and stuck together from the water from their roof. Just disgusting. It's piles and piles of feces. This is truly disgusting.
