The Main St. team, including the manager Gregory, provides friendly, super service! He's helpful and has been very easy to deal with. My good experience also extends to Anthony, who helped me when I brought over a large size wood and concrete wall sculpture my cousin gave me. I needed to store it in my unit as an interim steps to hanging it in my apartment. It turned out the piece was awkward with flatbed dolly, but team member Anthony came to the rescue, even assisting me in getting it to my unit. When I offered to tip him, he turned me down. We ar'nt even provided with a single light bulb attatched to a string inside our units.That pratice is called price gouging! They are also guilty of charging the client an auction fee 4 months before it might go to auction even when it did not but they collected the $120.00 fee without providing the action, that is fraud! You communicate via text with various people there who say different things. You get a code to access a location for a visit. They claim all spaces are taken when spaces are vacant. Since they don't have a current list and unknown people are squatting in empty spaces-this leads to excess texts and more confusion. I just left a space in Hells Kitchen due to water damage. It took 4 days of texts to get a response from them. The place was dirty; smelled like mold and the food commissary above it was noisy. Go to a legitimate storage. Save your sanity!

This was my first time hiring movers and J & G Moving exceeded my expectations! The move went so…read moresmoothly that I highly recommend them. I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it.
