I do not recommend this location or business. I started paying my unit in 2018 at below $70 a month within 4 months the price was raised. I now pay over $230 dollars a month for the same sized unit?!?! While they continue to have deals for new customers at low rates just to hike up those rates when you have your unit and don't want to go through the pain of moving your stuff yet again. I definitely urge caution when getting a unit with Public Storage and watch the price increase time and time again for no reason what so ever. read more

I ended up keeping the Storage unit for a year. Although all the individuals I worked with were very helpful, I worked with Kyle most often. Anything I needed or any questions I had, Kyle preemptively called/messaged me, made sure items were taken care of and was incredibly responsive and on top of things. He always went out of his way to help me as well, even when I dropped by at a moments notice. That being said, the rates here were by far the most competitive when I got the unit. If for no other reason than Kyle, I would recommend using this particular public storage branch! read more

Miguel needs a 100% attitude change!!! He is nothing but rude and condescending... I do NOT appreciate having my drivers license thrown back at me after I handed it to him nicely. When I called him out for throwing my DL at me he then began to threaten me and telling me to get my white @$$ out of his facility before he calls the cops on me! I did nothing to provoke him. The management team before he came was MUCH NICER!!! Whenever I need to make a cash payment I go yo the Public Storage just down the street where they are nicer. I have been renting here for about 2 years and recently moved to another Public Storage facility (I like the drive up access units). Kyle and his wife have been great and easy to work with. I felt my stored items were safe and they were, there was no theft of my things during my stay. They are a live-onsite couple with a family which is nice to have someone there 24/7 looking out on the property. The facility is well kept and no signs of pests or rodents anywhere which is a major factor. They have pest deterrent traps everywhere and I think this helps. I highly recommend this facility and the good people that manage it. read more

I tried to call them to see if they would be able to give us a deferment on our monthly payment since I haven't been working for the past 3 weeks and now forced out of my office until Mid-May. No answer from their regional manager after leaving her 3 messages. Took it to Twitter, the corporate office responded and said to email them and of course, NEVER heard back from them. Beware! These units are "open air" meaning the walls stop at a certain height and are then open to the ceiling. this means they are also open to all of the other units and anyone could easily climb over into other units and help themselves. Your stuff also gets dirty simply because it's essentially being stored outdoors. But that's not the worst part of it...the rodent problem is terrible and has destroyed all of our stored furniture with urine, poop and chewing. You can watch the mice scaling along the tops of the walls and hear them eating and chewing. No, we don't have any food in our unit but who knows what is stored in other units. Managers are nice but say it's not their problem. And then out of the blue they hit you with a 40% rent increase! Only rent here if you are desperate and don't care if your stuff is destroyed by rodent urine, poop and chewing. read more

Rented a unit Jan. 2020 @ $60/mo. Rate increased Aug. 2020 to $67/mo. or 11% increase. Rate increases to $88/mo. May 2021 or 46% in 15 months. To do this says a lot about the company even in normal times. During the current health crisis, economic downturn, loss of jobs, etc. it makes Public Storage look like Scrooge on steroids. We are very unhappy with this place. They have raised the price of our storage unit almost $50. We called to ask why it went up so drastically in price and they couldn't help us and said we needed to go to corporate. My husband called corporate today and they wouldn't even talk to him about this issue. One of the workers that I talked to told me that we would have to move our stuff out to another unit to get the cheaper price. We are out of the state! How can we move our stuff? The new price is such a drastic price change. How does anyone afford this? We will NOT be storing our stuff with Public Storage again in the future. read more

Offered (low key) packing and moving materials, which I had already purchased elsewhere. As polite as you'd want your son to treat you and others. I've had a unit here for about 6 years. When we moved our stuff in there were no complaints as we backed the truck in unloaded it all, blocking the entire alleyway as we tetris'd all out belongings into the unit. Fast forward 6 years and we back a similar truck up, block the entire alleyway so we could load up our truck. This time though the guy working there was a complete jerk, coming out to hassle us several times about not being over far enough, or that we were taking up too much room. It was ridiculous and counterproductive. No one came to a unit we were blocking and if they had we would have moved. He just wanted to be a jerk. read more

9/22/18 Saturday I had a terrible experience with clerk name Miguel at El Pacifico office. I had 2 units with this facility over one year with no problem. When my brother ready to move to Orange County,I recommend him here. Bad mistake!!! 1) Miguel is very rude and offensive too. His attitude is horrible and arrogant.He no patient explain the question that I have and tell me take up too much time. I am so mad. 2) he won't honor my brother first month $1 promotion because we are family. 3) He insists to sell us the lock and tell us our lock is not to the standard. Since when? I use that lock for years here. I check other reviews same complaints regarding mr. Miguel. Same attitude still no improvement. I don't recommend this place at all. We'll move out here as soon as we find other storage. I am paying over $500 each month. Take your business somewhere that appreciate you as customer. read more

[-] - Facilities do not keep a master key for your unit. Nor do they keep a bolt cutter. I understand this is for liability reasons. However, if you get locked out of your unit because you forgot your key (like we did), you're out of luck. It would seem appropriate that the owners of your space have indefinite access (like a landlord). Not a terrible negative, but worth noting. read more

I had a horrible experience with this facility, furthermore Public Storage itself. I went in to Public Storage on El Pacifico in Lake Forest on Oct 4th and was greeted by Miguel. Very nice. I had secured my unit online prior to arriving so it was pretty quick once I arrived. Paid $140 for first month and fees. This is where it goes BAD.....I arrived two days later Oct 6th at 245pm with my hired moving truck and two hired moving helpers. Pulling up to my secured garage it had locks on it. The office was closed. The posted hours on the office website for this location is 930-6 on Fridays. A note is on the door that they will return at 345pm. I had been calling the office beginning at 2pm leaving messages. At my arrival I still had no return phone call. Because my drivers had to have me unloaded by 4pm I was forced to turn them around and take my truck with all my belongings all the way back to where we started and unload them. I continued to call the Public Storage El Pacifico location up to 430pm with no answer. Finally at 530pm Ashley calls me back. She tells me she was only gone a few minutes to pick up her children at school. I totally called her out. She was away from the facility for no less than 2 1/2 hours. I paid my truck and drivers for 3 hours of time that was completely wasted and Ashley had absolutely no regard for this. She simply said she can remove the locks from my garage and to send the truck and drivers back out. I explained that doesn't do me ANY good whatsoever. I would have to pay them all over again. I asked for a refund of my $140 paid because I obviously cannot move in my garage now and she said all she cannot refund but she can remove the lock so I can move in to my garage. Absolutely poorest customer service and ignorant mindset in Ashley. Public Storage needs to put a more concentrated effort in better characteristics and attitude in the people they hire. Ashley's attitude was as though I was at fault, and that her needing to leave a business establishment unattended for 2 1/2 business hours is perfectly fine to pick up her kids from school. Furthermore, my attempts and letter written to Public Storage customer service have gone unanswered. They are also billing me for the next months fees for storage I was not able to move in to even tho I cancelled and scheduled a move out for the very day I was supposed to move in. read more
