The manager was uncaring about everything. The rent was raised $30 in five months time. There was no honoring of the first month for $1 simply because the unit was changed. And, within six months, all of my things were covered with a heavy layer of dust! No concern was shown and nothing was done to make it right. read more

The facility is clean, secured and professional. All great there. What I feel is completely unethical is their practice of FORCING you to buy insurance. This was not quoted over the phone. I should have the choice. I could barely care less about the crap I have stored - burn it, steal it - I barely care. She started by telling me "it was the law", then changed it to "it's necessary for the rental agreement". If this is part of the monthly rate, then build this into the quote. I don't know; maybe this is standard practice, but just because other companies do something unethical, doesn't mean your business should. Out of principle, I will work to get my stuff out of there as quickly as possible. Other then this, the facility is awesome. read more

Nice storage facility. Never have had a problem with any breakins like other storage facilities. The only problem is there is a guy that lives there and dumps his dirty water out in front of his unit. Manager seems to look the other way or is blind to situation. I rented at this location for 18 months, and from start to finish I was always treated so well and with such professionalism. Today I vacated my unit and Ronnie helped me. I called ahead and she was patient with my many questions and was so kind. If there were more stars I would use them for this facility. Abdulla & Jesse are very courteous & willing to go the extra mile to keep their customers on the property. It's a clean facility, inside and out. Climate controlled wings available & worth every extra penny. I've been there for about a year and a half, starting with 2 large units, downsizing twice to my current medium sized single space. Pricing does change at the corporate level seasonally & according to demand, but I believe it takes 6 months (maybe a year...can't recall) to see your first increase. It's going to happen anywhere you go, just the nature of this business. So don't be surprised to see your unit offered at a lower (or higher price) throughout the year. I can't speak on company policy, but I will say that I was preparing to move into a smaller unit which was advertised on line at a significantly lower price (*for 1st time customers only). I considered moving to another company's property, but they couldn't specify when my rent increases would occur, how often, or an estimated amount/percentage. I was uncomfortable with that sort of blind commitment, so I went to Abdulla & explained my predicament. I no longer need all that room, but I couldn't justify paying nearly the same amount for a smaller unit. Abdulla a went to bat for me. Without getting into the specifics, let's just say that he was able to keep my business & save me a few bucks in the process. THANK YOU! *My one complaint (and this is likely due to tenants, not staff) is that the bathrooms are often out of order. One thing you need when your moving stuff around it a place to wash up. People, stop flushing paper towels down the toilets! We need to use them! read more

I used this location to store my daughters belongings while they moved home from college. This location was absolutely fantastic. They showed me the various size units I was interested in and provided me with accurate pricing with no deceptions in any way. They explained the promotion rate to me and made sure I understood it. Both Jim and Cathy helped me and their customer service was exceptional. I previously looked at other placed but chose this location because I felt comfortable with them and the security of the facility. They made everything go so smooth and as easy as possible for me for were always so accommodating to me. Would highly recommend this location! read more

I have had a few problems with the customer service reps there and I have contacted the district manager twice regarding these problems and I have NEVER got a call back from her either asking about the situation or saying that she has talked to the employees read more

It is a nice quiet storage place. This is important to me as I have been to others where it was impossible to park near your unit due to so many people accessing their spaces. The staff seem pleasant enough, I mostly deal with Abdullah. After being there 4 months or so, my rent went up $10. What are you going to do . . . It's South Orange County. read more

Good location, access and staffing. The staff is very good with assisting and accomodating your needs. They always follow-up with calls, reminders and try to help with the moving. I find the company image is good, facility is accessible. Storage itself can be improved but passable in term of cleanliness. Despite the high rent after the initial sign-up deal, I would recommend the place to others. That saying, I do not know what other charge for their units either. The service and location make up for the over all cost that I thought was a bit high but in all fairness, my additional unit was unexpected. If space and timing was clearly establish coming in, it would have been a very good experience. It still is for me. read more

Disgusting Place!! - Jessie lied...said rent NEVER goes up until after 6 mos. and usually only $6-8 at a time. Went up $22 & then 3 days later get another invoice $24 up. Sold me fake insurance...said had to have at $11 a pop. Never honored the $1 FAKE advertising "bait & switch".....Abdullah is a joke- rips people off as they don't pro-rate & then they charge FULL amount if moving to smaller unit. Bathroom is our area NEVER repaired the entire 7 mos. being there. read more

I rented a unit at Lake Forest and Tammy, the girl in the office who did my paperwork, refused to give me the $1 move-in special because my boyfriend also has a unit at a different Public Storage location. She refused to show me a policy that says a person does not qualify just because they are dating another person who rents from Public Storage. Instead, she started making things up - she said that the fact that I put his name down for authorized access to the unit would "flag" the system and she would get fired. Then she went on a tirade about how people get fired all the time for abusing the $1 special and she didn't want to be next. All of this is after a Tustin agent promised me on the phone that I would get the special because I am a new customer - which, by the way, is what the website also says: "Promotions good for new customers only." Nowhere did I see the website define a "customer" in the plural as a person AND anyone else he or she is dating. The worst part is that Tammy let me move all of my stuff in before she decided to make up this new rule, so it was too late to walk away. This is a bait-and-switch and false advertising. As soon as I can move my things out of that place I will. There are plenty of other self-storage companies around, and I would prefer to use one that honors its advertising and doesn't hire crazies on power trips to work in the office. read more
