Haven't forgotten about my incident here a few years ago. I rent a truck and there is little bit left than a quarter tank. I bring it back and the guy is like You didn't leave a quarter tank of gas there.. I'm like there was a little less than a quarter tank when I picked it up.. he says "dont play games with me.." so I m like. you know what?? FUCK THIS! I just finished moving an entire apt and this guy is gonna give me shit about like 5 drops of gas? First off, he is lying not me second off, thats why everyone should just fill it up to full that way there is no confusion.. I called corporate on his ass and they refunded me my money but I always forgot to write a review here. not that it matters though, the other 4 people who went here also had shitty experiences. HORRIBLE SERVICE. This location takes no accountability for their negligence and could care less about your belongings. Their elevators have been down since Dec 30th ! They did not inform ANY of their clients so I had zero idea my stuff would be unable to be retrieved, as I am on the 5th floor. I moved back to LA and it has now been 21 days AND THE ELEVATORS ARE STILL BROKEN. Thank God I have kind roommates who are letting me use their mattress but the fact that fixing the elevator is not a priority for them is beyond inconsiderate. They refuse to refund my money for January instead offered a useless credit that's only allowed for February when I just want to move my stuff! They are short on the phone and have not offered any assistance in retrieving my stuff They even have the audacity to increase the monthly rent for February even though their facility is not up to standards. You can't even access the garage to put your car near the units. So even if I did have the man power to get all of my belongings down five flights of stairs I would have to use a narrow door and walk around the building to my truck. I have been beyond patient with them and yet they are still charging my card and can't give me a date for when the elevators will be fixed. This place is a joke and I plan to look at the contractional agreement with my lawyer since as business they know nothing about customer service and honestly are not keeping up on their end. I rented a space with this Public Storage for about two years. I have no complaints with the facilities and the support of its staff. The facilities are well maintained and protected, and while renting, I felt confident my stuff was safe. Whenever I called or was onsite, the staff was warm and helped answer any questions I had. This has been ongoing for months and the managers said nothing can be done unless I close everything down and move my stuff out. The best part is I can see the other customers information and he can see mine. Today I find out I'm paying for both units now. So identity theft, security leak of personal information, and fraud. After 6 months they got me there and the contract expired they raised it up to 230 and now 13 months later it is 330 dollars . The stars are for Amado, who showed me around and was very personable and informative and good at his job. He was a one-man band on the morning I went to check out a unit, but was very patient and helpful even with a backup of people waiting to be served. I'm probably not going to go ahead with storage there. To be honest, the building is huge and I would feel isolated. There are no security cameras except for main floor and there are no evening hours even on the weekends. I just wouldn't feel safe in the cavernous building by myself. read more

Terrible experience checking out. I am a mellow person, and to give a glimpse - I had to take numerous days and hours out of my work (9-6 since that is when they are available to talk) to argue over my final bill! I had signed up for the $1 a month special, of which that was the only time I needed for a small move where I had an awkward two weeks in between. By the time you pay keys and rent, obviously, you pay a little more than the $1 which is fine. ***When i went to check out, they were trying to charge me $350+ LOL I was barely there for two weeks...and definitely under my one month time. With this bill, I was immediately furious as I already knew this was going to be an uphill battle, and boy was it. Weapons drawn - they ignored my numerous emails, so I called the 'Manager' who never returned my calls. I then called corporate who then told me that someone "Manager" would call me. She never did. I wrote emails and called every single day - because there was no way in hell I was going to pay that much especially since that wasn't the deal that was advertised. After tears, headaches, stepping outside my office 2-3 times a day for endless calls trying to talk to anyone at all, multiple days every day....and at one point screaming at the top of my lungs because these people are truly the worst with customer service, they finally (not willing but probably so tired of the daily calls and emails) HONORED THE PRICE. May I remind you, I wasn't looking for a fight - I just wanted to pay the amount I had signed up for and not their crazy adjustment they sneakily did. I VOW to never. ever. EVER use public storage again.....to this day hearing any of their commercials air instantly put in a bad mood. read more

I was in a rush to get my things put away. Their system was surprisingly straight forward and really efficient. I made a phone call and had a reservation set. A while later I received a call personally from the manager confirming the reservation. When I got there we were able to look at other units to really find out what's right. I was in a MAJOR rush and he was still very patient and helpful. I probably came off rude but he was very understanding. Something that should have been a dreadful experience wasn't that bad because the set up was made so easy by the people working, especially the on site manager who helped me. With that said, minus one star for: - The parking lot being on a slant..my cart kept rolling away and it had no breaks!! - having to get out every time you enter or exit the lot because you have to punch in the key. Help me guys, am I missing something? Is there a trick or a button?! That keypad is no where near accessible while sifting in a car!! All in all it was a good experience and the manager was a great guy. read more

Like most of the positive reviewers I have to agree, customer service is GREAT if not fantastic. However just a warning, on the website they offer a great deal for the 5x5' room with limited ceiling space, BUT it is actually a really small locker that is...definitely not 5x5. Also it's on TOP of most of the storage so you have to pull up a mobile staircase and walk up it...so you definitely can NOT have super heavy thing store up there, kinda scary to be honest. I panicked when I saw that and upgraded to a larger, actual 5x5 room with a door. Perfect space for someone who just literally has a room's worth of stuff. But again, check it out first, even then you may need a bigger place. Besides the extra cost of change and whatnot, the facility is SUPER clean, SUPER organized, they have carts for you to use to pull your things from your car to your storage. Also it seems like in the summer they have longer hours? Great! Price wise, you HAVE to get insurance (lowest is like $10?) and booking online is 10% cheaper. Admin fees are $22 and then there's the actual cost of the unit price plus tax. Would totally recommend it if you are okay with the price. read more

This public storage location is horrible !! I was there for almost 4 years and finally out !!! When I first got there I liked it there was this guy he was professional and he was nice everything was clean when we got there so I was happy ! I think his name was Mario Somewhere in those 4 years he must have left the place because it started to look very dirty . Dirty to the point where each time I was there to pick up a few things or store things the place got dirtier and dirtier. I started not to like it so I told them about it and they said they clean all the time but that was bs because each time I went there it was the same dirty spot !!! . One time there was pee in the front of the elevators on the 9th floor ! - So we had 2 storage units in the 9th floor I also saw a few cockroaches crawling out of some units. they also rent to homeless people It just looks bad specially when every time you go to storage you see the same person hanging there all day like it's his hang out spot reading or looking through his stuff I don't know it just bothered me a little seeing that all the time. In April we decided upsize the unit and combine both storages in the 9th floor they almost gave us one that was already rented ! We needed to combine the 2 units so they gave us one on the 4th floor again that floor was dirty it looked like they never clean so I went and asked and all I got was sarcasm I asked why don't you guys clean up the hall way she said well we do clean up and I said well why are all the floors nasty ? She said well I said we clean up you didn't say mop ! So I said ok whyyou guys never mop then ? She said yes but it's not her fault some costumers are rude that way . I didn't want to deal with her bs so I just left . I knew I was not going to have the unit for a long time so that's why I left it like that . Last issue I had was that I needed the loading dock for me to move my things they where all full of excuses ! I called them 3 times for it and all times was for different reasons. This place had unprofessional and unethical people working there and they all look like they just got out of jail that's why it's ok for them to have homeless people rent to that place . Granted the homeless guy didn't bother anyone there he minded his own business and i was a little nervous because you never know what goes on in their heads since they mostly have a mental issues or drug addicts . If your looking for a place to put your stuff in go to a better public storage or better yet rent from another storage company who knows how bad the other ones are since it only takes one reason or a person to ruin everything. And almost forgot to mention that more than half the time I was there and actually need it to go to my unit the elevators where out also they close the gates 30 minuets before close time I read all the negative comments on this location and I second them On all comments it's a bad place to trust Your belongings I'm writing this on my last day there I'm scared that one of those ladies will come in and steal my things or do something bad with them . The management here is a complete shitshow. I have talked to her once and in person and she was incredibly rude, condescending and COMPLETELY unhelpful. Every time I come here it's some sort of issue. When I was moving my things in there was a man standing in there with a hammer talking about how the cops are trying to kill him and how he's waiting on his friend, but said he didn't have a unit there. He disappears into the facility. I'm there with my girlfriend and there is another female customer who said she was scared and we both complained to the employees who were teenagers. I said did you call the building manager (that lives onsite) and they said they did, but she wasn't coming down. I take it upon myself to call the police, wait for them to arrive, explain the situation, wait for them to check the building and I try to move my stuff in. Then the employee has the balls to tell me they have to close so I need to leave. After I've just spent 45 minutes dealing with their problem! All the cameras upstairs also have black spray paint over them (including the one next to my unit). I tell them they need to wait for me and they say I can have 15 more minutes. I get my stuff and now am locked inside with the other female customer. We keep calling the office and no one picks up. After 10min, the gate just opens up. No follow up, no apologies, no nothing. I did manage to get the district managers e-mail (aton@publicstorage.com), but surprise surprise... he also never responded. Next time I came here there was a really creepy guy standing next to the gate, waiting for someone to open it. He walks in and I call in to complain about he lack of security. I'm talking to the building manager and reference the last situation and I ask why she did nothing. Told me she knew nothing about it. I press and she says she heard about and I asked why she can't give me a straight answer about their policies. Go here today and it's about 5:30. I give them my id for a cart, I just have to drop one thing off and 5til 6 we try to leave and of course no one is answering the phone. I finally get into the office and (I'm assuming she was the manager) the lady says the game locks from the inside at 5:45pm. I say well aren't you open til 6pm? She says the office is open til 6. I say, well I have been trying to call, why didn't you answer the phone? She says they shut it down at 5:45. I say, is it posted anywhere? She says no, but that's their policy. I say well wouldn't it be easier to just post this somewhere so you don't have to have these conversations? And she says take it up with corporate.... like she is incapable of posting up a piece of paper. Argumentative with a complete lack of understanding of what customer service is. If it wasn't such a pain, I'd move my stuff. This place fucking sucks and the management from local to district level leave much to be desired. Spend your money anywhere else. I have been a public storage customer at this Beverly location for a few years now... I had never had a problem but towards the end of 2017 until today Jan 31st 2018 I have been very unsatisfied with the employees attitude... On Jan 31 2018 there were 3 women there... the chunkiest one gave me attitude. I said nothing to her but she is NASTY & should not be working there nor in customer service anywhere. The only reason why I didn't say anything to her is simply because she seems like the time of person that would do something back such as doing something to my space or belongings I have in there... I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I kept my stuff there for 5 1/2 months and the way this place was kept up was a joke. The bathroom was frequently out of toilet paper and soap, at least one time it was out of both for 2 weeks, and all I was told was the shipment hadn't come in, sorry. This is not how you run your business. You send someone to the store to get what you need until your shipment comes in. I bet the employee bathroom was fully stocked during that time. The elevators were frequently out of service, sometimes for weeks at a time. Walking up 8 flights of stairs is not fun when you are carrying a lot of stuff. I once told the staff there was broken glass on the floor and it took them a full week to clean it up. Lastly, I'm sure they mentioned it briefly in their long contract, but the pro-rate policy makes no sense to me. If you vacate by the 2nd of the month, you pay for 2 days, but if you vacate on the 4th, like I did, you have to pay the whole month. I stayed because of necessity, but I will never do business with them again. read more

They are rude, will threaten you by saying they will only take cash to keep your things from auction(even if you're out of town), and do not like to accommodate to customers. I never write reviews on Yelp but felt compelled to do so after an employee I dealt with here went above and beyond to provide excellent service to me. I had originally booked a storage unit at the Koreatown 6th St location but both of their elevators broke down (some Merucry Retrograde BS) so I was redirected here. Because their management apparently didn't "transfer over my reservation" to the new location in their operating system, the employees were having trouble pulling up my records to honor the $1 first month promo I was trying to snag (being the broke college grad that I am). By 5:45pm the premise was starting to close up shop, past the window of time the building is open, and my anxiety set in knowing I had to an entire moving truck full of my things to unload into my unit, and also return the rental vehicle by a certain time to avoid more charges. That's when Raelyce saved the day, figured out a solution in their system to maintain my $1 promo, quickly ran me through the contract and formalities, and so graciously stayed past her shift time to hold the building open just long enough for me to move my things in. If it weren't for her, I'd literally be living on the streets with all my belongings. A truly disappointing experience. I moved in over a year ago and was disappointed from the beginning. The move in special is a scam, after all of the fees the first month's rent far exceeded the advertised price. I moved out today, January 2nd, and they charged me the full January month rent. (I would have moved out January 1st, but they were closed.) Needless to say I was completely shocked that they would charge me a full month's rent without my being there (and most likely will have someone else move in to my space, so they'll make double the rent). The girl at the front desk was incredibly rude when I expressed how shocked I was. I asked to speak with the manager who was equally rude. Public Storage is a greedy company that I will never be renting from again and will urge others not to as well. I feel taken advantage of and disgusted by what an icky company they are. read more

I am looking for a safe and local storage rental unit and stopped by the public storage on Beverly. I was greeted by "Ricky" and he was very helpful and showed me the site and a few different units in various sizes to see which would best suit my needs.
