Horrible service. I scheduled a move in and was called several times by the hour to ask about payment. A few days went by and I again, scheduled a move in and paid. Ironically, I did not receive not a single phone call. I get to the property and no one is at the desk to assist. Doors were locked and my unit had a zip tie on it. A waste of time. read more

I like the idea easy access of the gate and the prompt calling response from the office manager. Beware that you make sure you have insurance on your storage. This facility has a history of water flooding. Sadly I do not like the idea of waiting 3-5 business days for my checking account check to clear. Public Storage please let us know in advance that it takes that long. Like on your website that says what type of payments your business accepts. Previous way caused me a lot of stress and no one should not have to go through it. Thank you over all! read more

What can I say, I have been renting space here for over 3 years and I am treated amazingly. Susan has been helpful every step of the way. She has taken the time to make suggestions about repacking my locker to get more space. She is on the phone to me the 1st or 2nd of every month if I have not paid my bill and to make sure everything was ok. It is a pleasure to do business here. read more

If I could select negative stars, I would. My boyfriend and I moved into our new house yesterday, and had to store all of our possessions in a storage unit for two weeks until the house was ready to move in. To our surprise, when we went to the storage unit yesterday and opened it, there were cockroaches E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E!!! When we informed the office, they offered no sympathy or apologies. Now, in addition to renting a SECOND U-haul, throwing out our sentimental items: mattress, couches, records, vacuums, etc. we are now paying for a $700 terminator and are forced to buy new furniture. All for a $84 storage unit for two weeks, what a deal..... read more

The service of this office in New Castle is terrible. The female employee of the photo was rude, speaking very fast, hard to understand, and definitely, she has a lack of skills for the customer service. She needs an urgent training program to learn about customer service because we are paying for this storage service! The worst public service of public storage! read more

I'm a 68-year old Latino senior citizen. stored company materials here for over a year. Generally any sort of service was non-existent. The gates were not working a few times. Upon going forth and vacating my space, I politely went up to the admin office and got reprimanded by Susan because I parked my van in a spot in front of their office. I contacted the corporate office to complain about her but nothing happened. The only way to contact Public Storage Corporate is through emails as they appear to have no live operators. The lock on my shed was frozen and I requested the manager to cut it off but she appeared three months later so I hadn't been able to get my product out of the shed. I was then charged a late fee which Susan and/or corporate refused to refund. Finally, the lock was cut off by the manager after Susan I could have paid out of pocket for a locksmith. Since I'm a senior on a limited budget I had to wait for the manager. Finally, I got my stuff out. The whole Public Storage operation is not recommended. It would be better to rent someone's garage or try another business. read more

Susan was EXTREMELY helpful and very nice. Absolutely excellent customer service.

We signed up for a storage unit on July 20th. We were told that if we chose to stay in August it would be at a prorated amount. We received a phone call in August asking whether we were vacating the unit or staying. I explained that we hadn't made that decision yet and asked when we needed to make the decision by. The lady explained that we were paid til the 19th and so if we were vacating that we had to do so by then; however if we chose to stay we would pay the prorated amount the next time we came in and the full price by the 1st or a late fee would be applied. We decided to stay through August and my husband went to drop off stuff at the unit as well as pay the $50 some dollars (August's prorated amount). When he got there with my seven year old son...the woman working (Jewels) told my husband he couldn't enter the unit unless he agreed to pay a thirty plus dollar late fee for August. He asked her to call me since I was the person who dealt with everyone and when I spoke to her she was blatantly rude as well as disrespectful. She told me she was the manager, that the late fees apply no matter what I was told, and that my husband and child were standing around waiting and would be refused entry until I agreed to pay it. I requested to speak to her manager or someone from customer service because I had no problem paying what was owed but did not agree with the late fee. She told me she called her district manager and that she (Tina) was awaiting my call. I called and it went to voicemail several times. I called Jewels back who then said oh well she is not actually in the office today. When Jewels refused to help me speak to customer service I decided to call a different store. I contacted Kirkwood Hwy Store and they were sooo helpful and friendly trying to do everything they could for me. The district manager, Tina, refused to call me but texted the girl from the kirkwood store. At this point I was pretty fed up and called Dupont Hwy location back to pay the late fee so that my family could drop the stuff off at the unit and leave (I figured I could just call corporate in the morning)...However, as Jules answered the phone my two year old started screaming. I turned my head for one minute out of frustration with location and their horrible employees (Tina and Jewels) and my son ended up pulling a whole coffee pot down on him (full of scolding hot coffee). He had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance and was admitted for 1st and 2nd degree burns. I was on the phone playing games with these stupid people which ended up leading to my son being in the hospital. There is absolutely no reason that this should have occurred. There is no reason for a customer to be treated with such blatant disrespect. The district manager Tina could have resolved this issue within 5-10 minutes by taking my call as she stated she would but instead decided to play games by texting and calling the two storage locations rather then me; and Jewels could have been alot nicer to both myself and my husband especially considering my 7 year old son was with him. It is one thing for a customer to have an obvious late fee when their rent is due on the first and they are late....however for us we were told to just bring the prorated amount in before the first if we decided to stay...and that if we stayed Sept it had to be paid by the first or we would incur late fees. During this horrible experience with this company not only did we get suckered into paying a late fee that we did not owe but my son ended up in the hospital with 1st and 2nd degree burns. The employees that a company trains and hires reflect on that company and the reflection in this case was one I will definitely not be able to forget. read more
