DO NOT rent a storage unit from this company- at ANY location!!! I cannot even begin to express my disappointment in this company. We are a military family who is currently living out of state and every time I've asked for any sort of help, this company slams the door shut and basically doesn't give a crap about you, only your money. The rent increases WAAAAAY too often. I We're currently holding our stuff in a "small" space, but we're paying the price for a LARGE because the price just goes up and up and up every few months!!! Took 3 hours and 3 upper managers to get my resevered unit, they couldn't process payment because they couldn't update my address from the last time I rented. When I finally got the unit I had to request a service call because there was no rope, no handle and door would jam when you opened it then it would not close, and get this, the price is cheaper online vs going in and they can't match their own online price. So you have to reserve it online, then go up there to see the unit after you hunt down the manager thru a kiosk and then come back and finished your reservation online again unfortunately the online price only lasts a few months anyway, a lot of work to save $40 bucks read more

Had a really poor experience moving in at the Public Storage in Rochester Hills, MI (Enterprise DrI've). The unit itself was fine. Not clean, not terribly dirty. The overall hours of operation are terrible. It's NOT 24/7 access, do not let the online marketing of Public Storage fool you, you're paying $$$ per month, to not even have access to your things at all hours of the day. Too many rate increases. Rate has increased 3 times in the last 1.5 years for a upstairs 10' by 10'. Been with them for 8+ years but Im outta there now. Frankly, better lower cost options available in town. Customer service isnt good either. Good luck trying to speak live to a human either on the phone or in the office. Posted office hours of 9:30a to 6p daily are pure fiction. read more

I initially started my contract online. Today I received a call from Cindy asking what time I thought I'd be there. I said between 1-2, then asked a few questions that she responded to quickly. I arrived at 130 and was met by a charming and energetic person. Cindy quickly went through a series of questions and a list of things she could supply me with, if needed. We wrapped up the paperwork and she had me try the code I was given to make sure it was activated. She had me follow her in my car to the storage unit I had rented, and showed me how the lock system worked. The one thing that was disturbing about this storage place is that they don't give complete disclosure on the "move-in" price. I am glad I had the money. After I registered online, they sent an email telling me that it would cost $25 to move in. When I got there and started the paperwork, the property manager told me that they would be charging me extra for a lock that was a lock and key, and insurance. My move in amount was actually $61. I'm glad I had the money, because that's more that twice the amount the email quoted. The property manager seemed disappointed in the practice, but made sure he made it clear, before we continued to look at the unit. He was kind and very courteous and the place is super clean. They even provided a cart to help me move, it's hard to push, though. Very satisfied with the price, however! read more

I rented a storage unit online and received a call the next morning from Anup to confirm and see what time I planned to come in. I showed up and Anup was ready to help! I changed my storage unit type to climate controlled and he walked me to where it would be. He showed me where to enter my code, where to park, rode on the elevator with me and walked with me to get to the unit. He showed me how to operate the lock and then gave me some tips on maximizing the space. Back in the office he showed me some options on storage boxes, which I needed. He went over everything I needed to sign and went over my first month's payment and then the regular monthly payment. He gave me the code to enter the lot and asked me to try it before I left to make sure it worked for me. It was a great experience from beginning to end. The temperature control units are great. BUT they changed staff and payment policies and when I was a day late in paying, they took bolt cutters and removed my lock and replaced it with one of their own. They are holding my belongings "hostage" until I buy a new lock from them. read more

We were lucky enough to stop in while she was working, she gave us all the information we needed and was super friendly.
