DO NOT CONSIDER THIS STORAGE UNLESS YOU HAVE JUNK! We are intelligent professionals. Why did we not go to the reviews before we stored our RV here??? After we rented, I had the feeling we should go check on it after more than a week. At first glance, all looked fine...until we noticed that ALL of the storage compartments on our RV had been jimmied and the locks were broken! Obviously, the thieves tried everything...to get into our RV. We did not leave any valuables in the compartments, but we discovered the extension cords and adaptors and some other electricals for our full hook up were gone! The thieves also tried to open our side-outdoor tv and stereo, but failed - not without a bad scratch into the side of our rig in an attempt to break in. While we were there, a Santa Ana Police Officer approached us in his car (as I wanted to call the police but we were deciding whether $300 damage was worth it) and he said he was there for another break-in but he could take our report after! Then, we see a travel trailer across from us with a busted out window!!!! WHAT WERE WE THINKING! DO NOT STORE ANYTHING HERE - NO MATTER THE PRICE - unless you do not care about your property!!!!!!!!!!!! Public Storage at this location is a JOKE! read more

This is my first time renting storage space and I am so glad I went on Yelp and reviewed each storage facility in my area. I decided to go with Rene at Public Storage because the reviews were so good and the online rate was very competitive. Well, Rene really made my day. She was so very friendly and went out of her way to explain everything. She walked me through the whole process and tried to make my experience the best. And she succeeded! She was informative and helpful, and I highly recommend her, whichever Public Storage she is at. i've been a customer here for almost 2 years, they recently raised the price and reduced the hours you can access your belongings. if you show up after 5pm on a WEEKEND your out of luck, how ridiculous is that! I work close by and got off at 5 today, arrived a couple minutes after and one of the ladies inside named Debbie would not let me in to get my rain coat even though it was raining cats and dogs. I asked to speak to a manager and she just pointed at the wall, then her and the others laughed at me as I walked out to get soaked. I plan on canceling my unit in the morning. read more

I've been renting from storage for a long time, and decided to rent from this location when the Public Storage in Irvine (Jamboree and Alton) couldn't stop raising my rent multiple times a year. I always pay on time and even rented a second unit (I have a 10'x20' and also rented a 10'x15'). With no delinquencies, my rent went from $212 to $247... did I do something wrong? If I could give less than one star I would. Opened a small unit here a week and a couple days ago. I lost my job and came to close out the unit early in hopes of prorating me back the difference. Instead they kept a whole months $74 and didn't tell me til after I got the receipt for the unit being closed that I'm not getting any of it back. They made $74 for one week of storage, pretty shady. Corporate didn't care as well. My advice is pay a homie to use their garage. read more

Don't get a storage space with public storage my unit was robbed and they claim no responsibility I pay 110 a month for my things to get robbed me and my fiancé had priceless possessions of her late mother and stuff from out old apartment we got no money from the insurance they offer ,because we didn't have receipts who keep receipts for 10 years nobody does. My girlfriend rented a unit here in an emergency move so it was fast and convenient in her dire straits at the time, before we were together. Now that she is able to move into a new place and can take a good portion of her furniture and other stuff we needed to get into the unit and do the move. Here are our thoughts and experience with this place: * Hours are Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00 and Saturday-Sunday 9:30-5:00?!?! What the ??? Anyone have a job that might prevent or SERIOUSLY limit your access based upon those ridiculous hours? Or have a lot to move and/or store that might require earlier or later access on the weekend when you don't have to take off work? * Elevator door is like the a house door size. Not an oversized freight elevator size door. * Elevator door closes in 10 seconds unless you hold it open, and after the 2nd or 3rd time holding it open, it will start to alarm. * You need a key to use the restroom despite the fact that it is right by the office. * You need a key use the stairs...DURING THE DAY...and they are...RIGHT BY THE OFFICE. * You need to enter a 6 digit assigned code to get in the elevator every time. Super helpful when you have your arms are full. And I get it, it's for security purposes, despite the fact that it's daylight pretty much all the time with their limited access hours and, again, IT'S RIGHT BY THE OFFICE. * There is a speed bump thing immediately outside the loading doors of the place so your dolly, cart or whatever shakes and rattles as you go over it, which in turn, shakes everything on the cart or dolly possibly making them fall off, and makes moving your stuff just that more enjoyable as you need to push/pull through/over it. * You need to buy their cylinder/sleeve key lock for what my gf thought was $30, but according to Ivan C. here, it's $50!! And the lock can only be used at a Public Storage unit. When I called to see how much they were the guy told me "I don't know exactly. I'm on the reservations side...no more than $20....But you get to keep the lock!" He's on the reservations side but can't advise as to ALL of the costs? Unreal. That would speak to Tony N's review of being "scummy and predatory." * You need to leave an ID for their carts, which is fine and understandable, except they locked us in at 6:09 without an announcement and had my ID in their closed office and all employees had left. * There is no light in the unit. There is a light above the walkway but no light in the unit itself Maybe they think since the ceiling of the unit is open (covered by a wire screen), that the ambient light is sufficient...it barely is if you are at the door but in the back of the unit it gets tough to see clearly if you're looking for markings on a box or to peer inside a container in your unit. Also, the lights are on timers and only triggered back on with motion sensors. So, you need to stop what you are doing, climb out from behind, or put down, whatever it is you're moving, go out into the walkway and trigger the lights back on. There may be lights in other units in the facility (as Ivan's apparently did), not hers. That should just about do it for the reasons we will be moving to a different facility as soon as she's all settled, we pick a better place, we can make sure we can get everything moved within their access hours and have used every last minute of the month in which she is fully paid up and apparently won't be given any prorated refund, according to Frank V's review. If you are fine with the above points, then happy storing! It is a good location, clean place (caveat, because I didn't notice the urine anywhere as Ivan C. did) and has ample parking, I'll give 'em that...and that's about it. read more

Helped my co worker move in here today and the ladies in the front were so nice and helpful. It was very clean I might add and nice and cool inside. They only have 1 restroom but it was super clean surprisingly... Oh and they let you rent these costco looking carts you just have to leave your I.D the only downside is the carts are in the front lobby which was far from the unit she was in. read more

So far, so good! The manager, Jim, was exceptionally friendly and thorough when setting me up with my unit. All the details were explained and documented very clearly and carefully. I got a good deal on Labor Day weekend, and although there were "hidden costs" like one time administrative fee, mandatory lock and insurance purchase, these did not surprise me and were at reasonable prices. I'll leave a star spare to see how my stuff survives the next few months, but from the looks of it the unit is clean and the facility is well maintained. Note that the storage can only be accessed during office hours which is quite restrictive, but means the place is probably more secure as a result. read more

Everyone was very friendly when I first reserved my storage. The only thing that is inconvenient about this location are their hours . Weekdays they are open till 6 and weekends until 5 . It can be difficult at times when you work but being that I was already here I just decided to stay. Few days later when I came to drop off my things I was trying to hurry up and get everything inside my storage unit and it was getting close to closing time and one of the guys came by about 10 till to tell us that it was almost closing time which I was already aware of. I know that they want to go home I mean I don't blame them they've been here all day but he comes by again and tells me we're closing I'm trying my hardest to get things in. At that point I just told him it's going to be about 5 after. Long story short, I ended up leaving two small pieces of furniture out which I end up throwing away I just didn't want to deal with it. Again I'm not trying to keep them here longer than they have to be. I come back today I'm very aware of the hours when this guy again wants to give me heads up that it's 20 till closing. Again I'm aware of your hours. So I'm changing my mind on this customer service I think I won't be here too long I don't want to fee like they are doing me a favor. After all i am paying for my unit. Why can't I give negative stars? Just arrived at our storage unit to discover that it has been robbed...from the "chicken wire" ceiling. Suprise!!!!! Sadly, we had to discover this on our own although it was quit obvious by the mounds of garbage outside our unit. Bottom line is that PS doesn't care, they claim no responsibility and they don't even have cameras on the interior (privacy issues???). We filed a police report and the police informed us that they have been to this location several times for break-ins. Hey PS, a little heads up would have been nice considering I'm paying 100 a month. Next time I'll consider leaving my contents on the side of the road..... read more

I feel they (Tony, Andrea, Patrick and Jason, go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. I have been in the office when they have dealt with customer issues in a friendly, professional manner which was a delight, as customer service seems to,be a lost art in many companies. I work for a moving company, ProMovers, and I deal with a lot of storages. For the most part, dealing with the workers in storage facilities is typically tedious and time consuming just for a couple easy things that takes a couple of minutes total. Hand over my ID for a cart, and if they have one, open the bay door. In this situation, and at this facility, I dealt with Nadine, who was above and beyond my set expectations for storage facility employees. As soon as I walked in, I got a warm welcome. Not the cold autonomous drone "welcome to...", but a bright and cheery "welcome to..., how can I help you today?" She brought back a proper customer service with a smile attitude I once thought extinct. As soon as I handed her my ID, I told her what I needed and she grabbed the keys to fulfill my request; a cart and open the bay door. Not only was she surprised by how prepared I was when I made the request, she surprised me by how quickly she got moving. I like the facility itself and was pleased with the reservation and express service. I enjoy that I can pay online and without hassle. It's clean and looks easy to use. Everything was very clear and I appreciate that EXCEPT for the location of my unit!! I asked for a map and the manager kind of laughed and said there are no maps??!! WHAT A RIP OFF! I booked my reservation online, got a confirmation email and when I showed up they said it was cancelled because I didn't confirm two days later by phone. I called on the third day and confirmed but the Rep I spoke to only logged that I had also mentioned that I may come by to look at the unit that night. If I book something online, got a confirmation and told you I'm confirmed over the phone why would you automatically cancel the reservation. The reps kept saying that this is corporate rules. This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard. Don't rent here... they don't honor their rates. Public storage turn off your online reservations since you don't know how to structure online reservations. read more

I've been with this storage for the second time and the service here is excellent as well as the staff( kim heather and nadine).

Originally had a better impression of the place. I moved out because this entire company is a sham. They are not versed in Ca Civil Code law regarding storage rentals. They broke 3 laws in the short time I had a rental there. They tried to give me 19% rate increase with 26 days notice (not legal ca civil code 827) utilizing an illegal form of notice (ca civil code 1013). FYI - for everyone...those postcards they send...are not legal or valid forms of notice pursuant to CA law. No one seemed to care at all that they had broken the law and left themselves open to litigation (to which I am still deciding whether or not waste my time). When I moved my stuff out, prior to the end of the month, they removed my access from the computer system thereby denying me access to the premises and then refused to refund the prorated portion of the month I had paid for in full. I'm floored at all of the people writing that Kimberlee is great...she umm in the interest of remaining civil isn't...I can think of a lot of words to describe her, but we will just leave it at that. read more

I went in this location in a bad mood and left happy.... when does that ever happen? It was a great experience i went in with the stress of moving on my shoulders and was put to ease the second i went in. As soon ans i walked in i knew i came to the right place i walked in and was greeted by everyone in the office. kim the property manager asked me some questions about what i was going to put in storage she recommended a 10x10 unit she first showed me a 10x15 the one i was going to get and then showed me the unit she thought would work we went back to the office to do the all the paperwork i ended up getting the 10x10 and it worked out perfect she saved me over $70 a month and i have more then enough space great staff at this location really down to earth and professional read more
