$ Saving Tips 1. Reservations-make reservations online by going to the Public Storage website. You get better prices and better deals/promos. Walk-In-Customers usually get ripped-off. 2. Insurance-Decline their Orange Door Insurance. Use your own insurance like "Homeowners" instead. Why double pay when you may already be covered by one of your insurance providers? Call your insurance providers to find out. You don't need to provide them with proof of insurance coverage, just decline at the time of rental. If you do buy their Orange Door Insurance, go for the cheapest and don't store more than you're covered for. If they ripped you off already and you're currently renting, you can remove their insurance at any time to save money, just visit the office. 3. Overpriced merchandise-Buy cheaper merchandise (boxes, tape, bubble wrap, etc.) elsewhere. 4. Overpriced locks-Secondary-locks (padlock, disc-lock, etc.) aren't necessary. It takes a thief less than 1 minute to break through all door locks. If you do buy a secondary-lock, buy for cheaper elsewhere. 5. Promos/Deals-If you're a Current-customer you don't qualify for a new promo/deal during transfers or renting additional units. Only New-Customers and Returning-Customers qualify for deals. To be considered a Returning-Customer you must vacate for at least 7 days. You also can create other accounts using other names to get promos/deals. 6. Late Fees-Each customer is entitled to a one-time late fee waiver. If you ever get charged a late fee, you can request this waiver to get a refund. 7. THEY OUL ME A REFUND FOR ALL THE MONEY I PAID THEM FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE AND RUDE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ME. I WOULD NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. The office manager girl Michelle and Sarah and Kristine that work's there whom is prejudice against me and only likes a certain group people has her homeless chronic boyfriend sleep there in the back over night till next morning every day where nobody can see him whom which uses a DeWalt disc cutter grinder to cut locks. She and her boyfriend was very rude and wise and disrespectful towards me on many occasions. She and her boyfriend is suspected of over 5 locker break in's and 4 motor vehicle break in's. She lets her friends smoke them reggie cigars inside the building in their locker thus contaminating all of my personal belongings in theadjecent locker. They never admitted to it and never took responsibility for my damages. She likes a certain group of people and gives them $1 first months rent or half off first month rent and first month free. However i did not get my first months rent half price, of free, rather i had to pay regular retail price for my locker. And every six months there after they raised my rent $90 on top of my allready increased retail rent rate. She also falsely acuse me of staying in my locker after hours. The other girl there falsely accuse me of loitering. She is rude and sassy. Ungreatful for the amount of money paying customers pay for their rent. They need to be sued for defacing me at other locations that don'twant to do business with me. Well i wouldn't want to give them my money. The cost of rent there is enough for a person to take a vacation to LasVegas. I would have an attorney sue them for all of my money back. read more

In July, I needed a storage unit closer to my location. Used Google to search and found there were three Public Storage sites in the area. After an eenie meenie money mo, I chose this location. Donna immediately addressed my needs and asked permission to offer me an appointment. She used excellent phone ettiquette, and friendly. On the day of the appointment, I mistakenly went to the wrong location, and the staff recognized my reservation was at Ukee. They pointed me in the right direction and were very professional and amiable as well! Met Donna, and she executed the lease and viewing with high standards. At the end of the lease signing, she allowed me to review before signing. Five stars on the $1.00 move in. Five stars on the suggestive selling of boxes and items that fit our needs. This girl knows her "stuff"! I have been in customer/ client sales for 4 years, and due to the amazing service, I say I got what I paid for. Totally satisfied from start to finish and I have high expectations. I reserved an unit two nights before I needed it by email. I not only received an email confirmation, but Donna also returned my call to answer my questions in a timely manner. Donna was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. She was proactive in making sure I left with packing materials to ensure I was prepared for my last minute move since I had to fly off the island that night. Of course, every move always takes longer than you planned and you own too much stuff. I needed another unit fast and was able to successfully complete my move and catch my flight. This Public Storage location is nice. We were worried about our unit flooding but we got a unit on their third level, so that's not an issue anymore. The lady that helped us secure our unit was really helpful, Donna. She showed us around the property, showed us how to get to our unit and how big it was, as well as made sure that the unit size would fit our needs. We also got the $1 first months rent special as well as a special online which is a 10x15 unit for $158 a month. That was the best price on the island, so that was the deciding factor. Our move in is going pretty well. I suggest getting renters insurance before hand as mine covers $8000 in damage or stolen and theirs only covers $3000. They have lots of supplies available in the office and dollies to borrow. read more

I am completely satisfied with the level of service at Public Storage on Ukee St. Security of the property is awesome and the fact that there is 24/7 on site security influenced my decision to choose this storage facility. Donna helped me out a lot too. She is very friendly and thorough. She made sure I was comfortable with the unit before I signed for it. The only thing I would like to see is a photo of the on - site security/property manager so that I would know who he was when seeing him after hours. But other than that, I will definitely recommend this place. It is very clean and there are carts on the property that are free to use. You just have to get there before closing time to sign out a key. read more

This may have been the best customer service I ever had. I accidentally found this place on my way to uhaul to pick up boxes, then I got lost. I stopped in to public storage and asked for directions. Hana greeted me with a huge smile. I told her I am looking for the Uhaul to purchase a box that I have on hold. She smiled even larger and said I sell boxes. I sell large, small, wide, and thin. She was funny, and kind that I ended up telling her my whole life story. I brought the box I needed from her. She became a new friend of mines and I will now purchase all my boxes from her. My debit card was expired and and they told me I can't give my 16 digits to them on the phone, through online only but I have a problem with my internet at that time. Then I need to go back and forth to the Philippines and when i came back i need to attend to my sick parents. In other words, it had slipped my mind about the auto payments. Good thing Donna was so understanding and reliable. She kept on calling me to remind me of my auto payment. I have seen her calls on my phone when I came back from the Philippines. I reserved my space online and while still online, I received a call from Donna Public Storage, I was like Girl I'm still on line. Donna was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I went down to look at the storage space and Donna was right at the door to greet us. Donna is very cheerful and helpful, she explained things and made it easy for us to understand the whole process of renting storage. the next day Donna called to check if everything went well on the move in and if we ever need anything don't hesitate to ask. absolutely 1 million percent love the site manager. He is always so kind and greets everyone with a smile even if he isn't working. The only bad thing is the rent just jumps entirely too high. To pay $2400 a year to store Christmas and Halloween decorations is just stupid. That was only for a 4x5, I can't fault the manager he doesn't set the prices but Public storage does. They should really rethink stuff if they are that needy for money build higher buildings with more units. read more

I didn't want to put my things in storage. i was very uneasy about how difficult the whole process may be. The whole back and forth to load and store. Then worried that i couldn't access my items when i needed them. I must say that Miss Donna made me feel at ease when it came to choosing what I needed and what I could afford. I been wanting to get a storage space for a while. I visited a couple of storage companies. When I got here I knew that this was the place all because of DONNA. She is very welcoming and she really knows her stuff. Donna explained the lease throughly and didn't rush through it, unlike other places they just want to get it over with. The location is convenient for me and prices are very reasonable. What makes this place stand out from the other places I've used in the past is the customer service. When I went into the office to ask about rates and availability, Maria was so helpful and extremely nice! She made sure I received the best deal for what I needed. I do not review many places but feel the need to do so for this location. Donna has made the process super easy and communication with her as been amazing. Although this was the only location I could find that fit my needs for storage, it is a drive away from town but definitely worth it! Having a gate access just adds that extra sense of security and makes me feel comfortable (on top of the insurance that is). read more
