The office staff have been kind to me, but almost helpless. I don't have experience with the storage units but I did store my car there for a few months in the outdoor lot. I signed a contract that waived the company's liability when it came to theft or damage, fine I have insurance. While in their gated lot, my car's fuel tank was punctured 3 times by vandals who siphoned gas from my tank. It was all caught on camera, but no action was taken to make a police report by the storage company which was so weird to me. Apparently this happens very often, the office attendants shrugged it off as a common occurrence. Please read this review and be warned, do not store your vehicle here or even leave your car unattended. High theft/vandalism area. read more

This place needs to fix its parking spot when off loading and loading. Can't even see cars leaving or entering the street on the corner. They don't even use the parking lot. Let alone the ambulance come and go through that street. Waiting for a big accident to happen read more

One star deducted because when moving your belongings in or out, you have to either park across the street, or use the street parking located around the perimeter of the building. Take note that they say you can park in front of the door but there is a street sign that says you need a permit. Another star deducted because the place just feels old, the elevator door to the lower level are very slow to close, sounds like it needs grease. Another star deducted because their website won't work with my Safari browser, maybe it's my computer. It's not this specific locations fault that their website doesn't work but no other storage website gives me problems read more

The last time I helped about this location it wasn't a good review because the site managers attitude and poor customer service. The Area Director got involved and rectified the situation for us. Today I'm here to pick up furniture and there is a new site manager, Seth. He is so friendly and helpful and I appreciate that the company took notice of their employee's professional or lack thereof and corrected the situation. I absolutely love this storage for it's convenient location, clenliness and wonderful customer service! The head manager Ralph is amazing at what he does and will explain everything so thoroughly and what I loved about him is that you can tell he enjoys his work so much and takes great pride in it! Wonderful energy! The assistant store manager Theresa is one of the loveliest young ladies my husband and I have ever met! I had stuff stolen from my storage unit here. The staff were totally unapologetic and unhelpful until I went off on the lady that perhaps as a customer service rep for them she may show a little sympathy to people when this happens. This is an ongoing issue according to HPD. I was also told their truck was available to move in or out, it's only available to for move in it seems. Look elsewhere for a more secure facility!! They have cameras but not on your units! Overall very disappointed and will never use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

I hate writing reviews, but I make exceptions. They "accidentally" charged me for a whole month (164$) after I moved out of my unit. I requested a refund and that has been over a month and a half ago. I've called a dozen times and all they keep saying is "it's processing." Pretty sure I'm just along for a good ole classic scam at this point. Buyer's beware. Unethical business sucks. read more

I'm tenant with Extra Space storage in Wahiawa and I can say I got no complaints. first of all Facility is well kept and everything is in its place what think is that everything is well kept cause of Jenna.I see Jenna most of the time only in the store and one time there were alot of customers waiting on her and for what I saw looks like she was the only one manning the front and it was busy she really did her job in a calm and friendly way I think Jenna does a wonderful job of taking care the groundskeeping handling customers really really well and she explains every detail that you need to know down to bussiness hrs, what's the latest we tenants can be there,explaining any billing questions that you ask Jenna has a great customer service attitude.Having a great and positive attitude like that and always being helpful makes you think that to bad in this day in time in this world we need or positive people like Jenna.keep up the good work Jenna I really appreciate you keeping the facility nice and clean for us tenants that's why too I'm gonna stick with Extra Space Storage In Wahiawa. read more

We had 3 storage units here. This facility had the cheapest prices on the island!!. We never had any complications or issues with facility. Upon preparing to leave the island, I moved out of my house and needed an extra storage unit for about week. I was able to easily get a storage unit and of course, you have to pay upfront. So I did, $172 for one month. When I cleared my storage after a week of use, I asked about being reimbursed since I didn't use the storage for a whole month. I was then told that they don't give money back...Of course I was pissed, because I find it ridiculous that they still take your money for a whole month even though you didn't use it for that long. That's why this facility is only receiving 3 stars. I was a customer for 5 months, I had 3 storage units, paid on time (over $530), and a military member...Clearly you would think they could work something out...Those of you renting less than month BEWARE you will not get money back for the days you don't use. I don't know if all storage facilities have this policy, but they really should fix it. If they get their money for the appropriate amount days than they shouldn't be greedy and keep the extra money. If this is the case, then they also need to offer daily and weekly rates. Another negative is that they require to have insurance. I told them I had renters and property insurance through my banking company and they told me that I could I use my own as long my insurance specifically covered storage units...? WTF is that all about. I told them I didn't specifically have storage insurance and they said I would then need to use their insurance. I don't see why I had to SPECIFICALLY HAVE MY INSURANCE COVER A STORAGE UNIT. My insurance covers my property and what I'm renting so why does it need to cover the storage unit?.... Next time I rent, Ill be sure to find out these things up front. read more
