My husband and I shop at Publix regularly. When we moved to Donelson, we were so excited to shop at this location, which was still fairly new! It's very spacious, and the staff are so wonderful. We like to shop with coupons a lot (not an extreme couponer) since we are still newlyweds and are trying to save money, so the staff is always helpful and once somebody gave us information on where to find good coupons! They always have a lot of products in stock, but often (at least once a month thanks to some extreme couponers) run out of our favorite things we like to buy. Thankfully the staff is always helpful and even gives us rainchecks if needed. We will continue to shop here! :) read more

Came here while staying for spring break. I had heard wonderful things about shopping here and wanted to see what they hype was about. We don't have Publix where I live. Parking lot was easy to get in and out of and although it was busy I found a good spot. The store has a basic lay out and is clean and every single person that worked there says hello to you when you pass by. The bakery offered two samples and was busy, in fact all the counters were busy. Checking out was easy and there were plenty of cashiers to keep the customers moving along. The shelves were stocked and even the cans were labels facing forward and aligned properly. So for all of this it's a great place to go and unusual to see such dedication. Here's where I'm not used to things; prices are higher than going to kroger or Meijer where I live. There pricing labels were a little difficult to read and made my shopping trip longer because I had to read them more carefully. The counters to get meat or bakery items were very busy therefore hard to see what was being sold in the cases and it did take awhile for each customer to be helped. The isles were on the small side and also busy so maneuvering through them wasn't fun and customers didn't care if there carts were in other people's way and didn't think they had to move them and employees were stocking shelves so there carts took up a good chunk of the isles as well. I love they stock them but just makes the isles that much smaller. Which made my trip frustrating. I would rather shop at Kroger. Maybe it's because I'm familiar with it but also because I can stick to my budget better and walk away with more bang for my buck. read more

Kroger and costco have a larger selection. Okay prices and has a lot of publix-brand items. For a supermarket it's not so super. Definitely would opt to go to a different one but this place is near where I live so I can just walk over. Nice staff, and air conditioned. read more

This Publix is one of the cleanest, well-managed stores I have ever shopped in and this mainly due to the manager, Tony, who is friendly, customer oriented and he instills this spirit in his employees, and he spends more time in the store than most managers I have seen, this very important to us customers. This review is specifically about the pharmacy and the lead pharmacists. I can't tell you how many conversations I had with them as I attempted to not spend a days pay in prescriptions. Yes, I have insurance, but the company won't cover a 3 month refill and my co-pay is 3 times what it had been with my previous insurance. I spoke numerous times with Dawn and Krista (I believe that's their names) as they guided me through the maze of medications, co-pays and other items. Thanks to their hard work, along with the Publix policy regarding some medications, instead of paying $135 for 3 months of medications, I paid under $25. The bonus for me is that they did all that with smiles, compassion and the ability to make me feel like I was the only customer of their day. read more

Living in Florida, Publix is the best grocery store chain in the state, and I try to shop exclusively there. When my wife and I were traveling to Tennessee, we needed to pick up a few supplies, and were excited to see a Publix in the area. This store is fairly new, and offers up the same great BOGO deals as all the other Publix stores I've visited. This store also has the same amazing customer service you will find at all Publix stores, which truly sets them apart from other grocery chains. What really amazed me was the selection of natural and organic items available at this store. Most other stores have a nice Greenwise selection, but this store almost rivaled that of most locally owned natural stores, it was really impressive. Not being from around here, I'm guessing it may be in a nicer area of town- because the other thing I noticed was the price increase in most items. I don't know how it compares to other stores in this area, but the prices, ESPECIALLY beer, were WAY more expensive than the Publix stores in Florida. I can always look past that, however, as I do love shopping at Publix. The BOGO deals, combined with the amazing customer service, clean and well-stocked stores, and great deli, butcher, bakery, and produce areas make Publix the place to shop. Glad we found one all the way in Tennessee. This is a great store! read more

First of all Publix is the absolute best grocery store! That being said...the best of the best is the Donelson store on Lebanon Pike. I'm not going to write all of the positive things I could say, but just know that the store is pristine and the employees (at every level) are exceptional at customer service. This Publix is the BEST I have ever been to. We live in Inglewood and tried shopping at the grocery store there...such a stressful experience. So we make the drive to this Publix gladly! It's never overcrowded, it's appropriately staffed, and the employees are so friendly and helpful. I'm always able to find what I need! Today was an especially good visit. I have a 3-month-old baby. As I was getting ready to unload my groceries at checkout, a young man (employee) named Kevin walked by and asked if he could help unload my groceries onto the belt. I have never seen anyone do this and certainly never been offered such help. After he did that, he bagged them, then helped me to my car (as they always do). I can't tell you how this kindness made my day! I could have cried. Grocery shopping with a baby is always a bit intimidating. So thanks, Kevin! You went above and beyond. And way to go, Donelson Publix. Y'all are the best! read more

I don't come here very often, but when I do I'm always greeted and the workers are SUPER friendly! I've had the sushi here on a few occasions and OMG......YUMMY! They have an awesome selection, fresh fruit, love the organic section. My only problem is the prices...yea it's kinda a pocket hitter. But it's a place I do come to first if I don't want to deal with the ratchet ruckess at Wal-mart. :-) read more

This store is wonderful. The staff are so helpful and polite. They really go out of their way to make your trip easy. Whether it's showing you where something is (instead of just telling you) or carrying your groceries out for you, they really go above and beyond regular customer service. After an especially stressful first few weeks on the job, I was working late just down the sidewalk from this Publix and realized I forgot to get a cake for a work function! The team at Publix was so nice and helpful and to top it off the young man who bagged my groceries offered to walk me back to my office! It was dark and even though I only had two items to carry, he still offered! It meant so much to me and I got back to my office safely and a little less stressed! I love this store! read more

Only been to the one at the Crossings but it is awesome. It is pricey but worth it. I do not mind paying a little more to shop in a place that goes above and beyond customer service with fantastic looking food. You can really come out with coupons and buy one get one deals. It is a pleasant atmosphere, so much so that you want to work there. I hate grocery shopping but here I don't hate it so much. If all places where like Publix......sigh. read more

I frequent this store at least once a week. I have to say, I have never met a group of people who are more friendly and authentically willing to help you with what you need. Whoever leads this branch deserves a pat on the back for encouraging this type of work atmosphere. Employees say hello to you in the aisles, they ask you if you need anything and they are always friendly at checkout. I admit, after bagging my groceries I get a bit uncomfortable when they take off with my cart before I get a chance to grab it myself. They are obviously trained to offer to walk your groceries to the car, for which I don't always need. But, I'd take that any day over rude service. Job well done, Publix on Lebanon! read more

I love Publix! Ok, there I said it. This Publix is filled with friendly employees and beautifully stocked shelves. The only complaint I have is that they are becoming less and less accommodating with their customer service. 2 examples would be putting in a request for a special order and never receiving a call back that the item could not be ordered. And also things like asking the cashier for a coupon from the ad and her replying "I can't give it to you. I'll get in trouble. You'll have to get your own over there." What's that? You're frightened to get me a coupon?! Lol! Anyway, I left my baby in the cart at her register and went to retrieve my very own coupon... the bagger didn't offer to get it either. I'm not a lazy person, it's just that Publix is known for customer service and this location is wonderful, but they are getting more and more slack on following through, and more and more rigid with their "rules." read more
