I love Publix, but I especially love THIS Publix! They legitimately go out of their way to make you walk away happy and find what you need. It's wintertime and it's soup season. That said, I need soup bones. I've been to every Kroger, Whole Foods and Publix in the area and nothing. This spot.... They have 'em! When not on the shelf they went in the back, pulled a 50lb box and portioned it out for me. I had a vision and they made it come true (toppers bought on Amazon) The best part is when you buy a sheet cake for the first birthday as long as it reads " Happy first birthday" it's FREE! Let me start by saying Publix stores are always clean & well stocked. Good customer service as well EXCEPT for one of your workers: Male, middle Eastern man that has multiple times come over to me while I am shopping, YELLING at me for buying products that me doesn't 'approve of' Pork, Bacon, Wine, etc. He has even told me I can't buy those! If it happens one more time, you're getting sued. He needs to STFU, mind his own business, stay out of my personal life. I don't follow or never will follow Sharia Law. Publix should not hire or allow someone that pushes this propaganda to it's customers. Also, recently I've come to find out the ingredients in their house products are poisonous garbage! Most ingredients I can't even pronounce, then I look and see bio-engineered ingredients!!! THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!! The store itself is setup ok, but on 2 different occasions have had to deal with an older lady at customer service named Theresa that has no business doing customer service. Not only does she not know her own stores policies, but you can tell she has zero desire to actually help anyone or answer any questions. I shop at Publix a lot, but try to stay away from this location because this lady just wants to argue with anything you say and that typically is not how Publix is. read more

My husband & I moved to Franklin, TN about 3 months ago. We love it & we also LOVE our Publix! Customer Service is always top notch, great selections, always clean & OMG their deli is so AMAZING! Biggest selection of Boar's Head I have ever seen. They also have pre sliced deli meat that you can grab & go. There are also lots of premade bites that you can grab & go. Sometimes (some days) it feels a little like we're playing a variation of Roulette. Spin the wheel to pick a store, then visit it to see if they have the specific items you're seeking. Even if you use a "brand's" shopping app, there's no guarantee the item you put on your shopping list will be in stock. One would think that in this day and age of pervasive electronic tracking, stores that scan absolutely every item and file it on their corporate computers, would keep better inventory of items that are actually in stock. (Sigh, would that it were true....and accurate.) Good news about this review is that on this day--this shopping trip--this particular Publix had every item on my list of 18 groceries or specific name brands with the exception of two unique specialty items. Store was clean and tidy. Staff was amiable and polite. Prices were up a bit (as they are everywhere.). But all-in-all...a very successful grocery shopping experience. read more

It is a good store to shop at. The staff is amazing. What I do not understand is when they have clearance items and they can't even change the price to reflect it. Right now, the parking lot is being paved and it can be a pain to find a spot. Today, I had a Publix employee that completely did not see me and nearly hit me because a parking spot became available that was close. His expression was priceless and it seemed like he knew what he did but didn't care. read more

I am in town from Vegas- visiting family and friends. We stopped here at Publix to get my mother flowers. As we stepped out of the car, Peter quickly greeted us with a smile as he cheerfully pushed the baskets inside of the store. After I picked out the perfect flowers and paid for them, Ginger helped me rewrap the flowers so beautifully so I didn't have the price tag visible. Peter then found us in the store again to introduce himself. We engaged in lite conversation. What a sweet spirit he is and a huge joy he is to this business. This is the best Publix in all of Nashville. It's always a pleasure to walk in and the overall atmosphere is so nice. All of the employees are consistently kind, courteous and professional, especially the baggers. The pharmacy is absolutely top notch as well. It's walkable distance from my hotel but I don't see anyone walking around these streets. I think it's because the streets are super wide and it's so humid here, it was high 80's when I came here at 8pm! I was so excited I found an affordable market (a few blocks away, there's a Wild Oats that is a bit pricier), I hadn't had fresh fruit in a few days! I was excited they had pita, hummus, kimchi (I think I saw a few asian people walking around these last few days but I don't think they'd be willing to pay for kimchi at these prices), rotisserie chicken, FRUIT, salad (all of the things you guys didn't want me to eat out here*), etc. Me: So where's the booze? ** Stocking boy: What kind are you looking for? (giving me the "what's wrong with this 'ethnic' girl look") Me: Wine or liquor. Stocking boy: We have beer. Me: Only beer? Stocking boy: Yup, try the wine store across the parking lot. * I can't eat bbq every meal when the weather is like this! ** If you ever come out to TN, take note that supermarkets do not sell wine or alcohol. read more

If I were a doctor, I would set up shop in this area and know that I would make a FORTUNE! While cruising the fish, poultry and meat section of this store, I found no protein with skin or bones.. which means, no collagen. No collagen, no healthy human. Oh yeah, I would make a fortune if I were a doctor near here. The aisles are wide, the store is clean, no odor, nice employees, limited inventory. Inside this Publix is an Italian Cuisine take-out complete with a brick oven. You can have pizzas made fresh to take home, or take home an unbaked one. These pizzas are surprisingly good and when I'm over in Cool Springs, I like to order pizza from here because it's as better than the pizza chains and cheaper than the gourmet pizza places (although I think it's as good as those too). They also have ready made Italian meals like eggplant parmesan and chicken alfredo to take home or order cooked there. It seems strange that I would include a take-out place inside a Publix in my review, but it's the only Publix I know of with an Italian take-out like this. It really is worth trying. read more

Publix is a solid grocery store. I am from Florida and pretty much everyone goes to Publix, as it is the biggest grocery store chain in Florida. I must say, it was nice stumbling upon a Publix in Nashville. I like Publix a lot because the prices are similar to Kroger, but the quality is more like Harris Teeter. As far as store brands are concerned, I firmly believe that Publix has the highest quality and best value store brands out of any grocery store I have been to. Obviously Whole Foods has great store brands, but they are also pricy. I am really excited for the Publix to open up off of West End in 2009 because Publix has really good subs. They use Boar's Head meat and the bread is really good too! read more

Their seafood is disappointing because none of it is wild caught and its either farm raised, colored or frozen. And the vegetables and fruits aren't as fresh and juicy as I'm used to. Not a fan of their selection but they have a great location. It's too bad things aren't a little better because this is the closest grocery store to me. read more

I absolutely love this place and the people who work here. It makes me feel like there is still something special about America. I'm 58 years old. I've been in countless grocery stores and worked in one when I was a kid. This is the cleanest, neatest by a mile. Runners up are the other 2 Publix stores I go to now and then. The French bread is fantastic. There are a few things they don't have but nothing is perfect. The BOGO sales, the $10 gas card sales and the fact that every employee in the store bends over backwards to help find or order stuff is amazing. Kroger feels like a dump on the rare occasions I have to go there. I do think seafood prices are high but half price shrimp is a bargain. Manager, Rada, baker Scott, Bill in front, Katie and Robert in deli always make me feel like family Sabrina and the pharmacy crew are also wonderful. There are a dozen other employees whose names I can't recall right now... Vic, Zach, Drew. On and on. Anyone who doesn't love this place must be a sad person. I especially admire the company employing people with challenges and having them in well-suited positions. I want to go buy stuff I don't even need just to be there. read more

I am a huge fan of Publix, it seems to be well worth the drive to get out to it. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This place offers meats and veggies that are at a much higher quality than what you find at Krogers, but with out killing you in the pocketbook like whole foods. This place reminds me like a trader joes to a point, they have a huge selection. I wish there was one closer to the fine folks of E. nashville. read more

This Publix wins the friendly award. I only come to this location when I'm grocery shopping on my lunch break. This means that my trip takes 5x as long because I don't know where anything is. By time I'm ready to pay I'm always slightly stressed about getting back to work and annoyed at being lost in the labyrinth of lettuce and apple juice. However every single time the cashier and bagger manage to put a smile back on my face. They are so outgoing and friendly. I've never had a cashier lazily scan my items and then curtly tell me my total. Today when I was walking to my car the cart man asked how my visit was. Most the time the cart man is jamming on his ipod this guy wanted to make sure I found the macadamia nuts. read more

Of all the chain grocery stores, Publix is my favorite. The staff is always very helpful and friendly and willing to do whatever you need them to do so long as it helps you out. They also have a special deal on sundays and mondays where they have a mystery item for a penny! Usually its something like a 6 pack of water or 12 pack of soda or some crackers - but hey, its only a penny! You don't have to take it if you don't want it! But thats not the only reason I like publix... they are competitively priced, they have unbaked pizza dough if you ask for it from the bakery (my favorite thing to make is some homemade pizza!), and they have alot of ready to cook meals you can grab... like crab stuffed portobella's, salmon wellington, kabobs, etc.. So yeah - great grocery store chain... though once Trader Joe's opens, I might stray. read more

I never used to be loyal to one grocery store. I used to shop at different places in the community each week until I moved to my latest residence. There is a Publix about 2 miles from me, and I visit the grocery store about twice a week. The quality of their produce and meats is what keeps me going back. My husband and I eat very healthy, so we stick to the freshest products possible. I am always delighted at the ladies in the deli, as they are always so friendly and eager to help. We get other groceries from Publix as well, but what really sets a grocery store a part from others are the deli, produce, and meal sections of the store. Publix is top notch, and I love how close and convenient it is to my home and office. read more

We shop here quite often and actually "enjoy" going to the grocery store. Every time I ask an employee where something is, I always feel bad because they TAKE me there instead of just telling me which aisle. Also they have a bagger there named Lesley who is the sweetest person. I make it a point to go through her line so she can put my groceries in my car. I love Publix. read more

The deli has dropped the ball on me for the last time. I order my lunch online and pick up at the store. I wait 30 minutes past my schedule pick up and I am consistently showing up and having to wait for them to start and finish my food. I ve complained and the management team is awesome about it, but I cant keep complaining and I cant keep leaving without my lunch or taking more time than I have available. I order online for the reasons you order online, speed accuracy and efficiency,,, Publix has lost all of this. read more

This is my fav. Publix and grocery store of all them in my area of Brentwood - Nippers Corners. Service here always is for some reason better. I see a lot of managers watching things it seems so I'm sure that helps, but the people here are genuinely friendly so good job to the mgmt. for keeping the spirits up. They tend to have more samples here than other places as some Publix you go there and it seems the cooking demo area is rarely open unlike here. I wish you could buy individual sugar cookies is one suggestion. And Walmart grocery actually has better cake frosting than Publix and most all the others in my opinion though carrot cake is vg here. Deli selection is below average like compared to places you can see and ask for the quantity you want. Publix tends to pre-package their deli foods and sell that way. Also the deli here at this location is sort of out of the way compared to other Publix as its in its own separate area in front of the store and check out area so that is the only thing I don't like about the flow, but maybe they did that to stand out. Other delis to suggest include the rotissere chicken saled at Fresh Market is excellent and Whole Foods probably has the best local speciality pick and choose deli but more expensive too. Krogers deli tastes are more average like their potato salad which isn't good at all. Price is cheaper but you get what you pay for as they don't put as much care and quality into their deli food. But overall I really like this Publix best because of its attitude and it just seems to have a great flow to it. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...just moved to TN from Florida and was so excited to see a publix....my first experience was just "ok" at this location. The deli area took way too long to make my sub and was extremely unorganized..the employee making my sandwich was placing each ingredient one by one...literally putting one pickle at a time and if it didn't look right taking it off and replacing it...REALLY? Decided to come back in tonight and try it again since I had a prescription filled at their pharmacy...I waiting at the pickup counter right in front of where the pharmacist was typing...she didn't look up to even greet me for 1-2 minutes... As she pretends she can't see me and twirls her hair. I finally say kindly "is there anyone here who can help me with my pickup" she RUDLY said "we are busy someone will be right with you" and had a very unpleasant look on her face...so next on my publix journey I head to the deli...where not only do I have the same problem as my previous visit, it was worse. The cheese was falling on the floor out of my sandwiches and everything was just slopped on there.. WOULDNT recommend this publix location to anyone...have a better experience and go to the one in Franklin...very disappointed and angry. read more

2 years since my last review and what a difference. THey've back on their game. The service at Publix is on par with Disney....and i should know, i heading Training there for 18 years.
