My family and I have been coming to Puckett's since long before I lived here. We enjoy the ambiance and often get to hear great live music. It has become the meeting spot for family and friends of our and we have a ton of great memories there. This morning I brought my kids in with me for breakfast and as always the service was more than is standard with other restaurants. All of the staff is so friendly and personable. We sat near the back and were greeted by two ladies that I assume were managers. They even took the time to say hi to my kids! My server's name was Jaime and she was awesome! She was great with the kiddos also and got their picky orders right and made breakfast easier for a dad with 2 young kids by himself. Some of the slowest kitchen staff you will ever see. We waited for an hour for our table which, when things are busy you can understand. But once sat, we were told we had missed brunch (the reason we had chosen this brunch restaurant to begin with). We then waited just shy of two hours for our food with only water, tea and coke to satiate. By the time the food came out, it was not worth the wait. When you are serving smoked ribs, smoked brisket, pulled pork, and smoked meatloaf. You would think these items would be all ready to serve and would come out hot and juicy. Again, this was not the case. The lady who waited on us was very pleasant and apologized profusely throughout the ordeal but you could tell from many of the other tables around us. We were not the only ones encountering this style/type of food coming from the kitchen as we saw the manager going to tables and being hailed to others. Most of our food was left on the table. It appeared from all the signs around that they really push their music time and they seemed to have a pretty well-stocked bar. It's a neat looking place inside and the location is very nice, right in the middle of the Columbia main square but honestly I can't say I was impressed by the food or service. The coffer was the most enjoyable. The waitress seemed really pissed off and was a bit snippy when I would order something, just didn't seem like she wanted to be there... First, the food is fantastic. However, you may have to wait an hour and a half for it to come out. I don't know if they don't have enough staff or what the hold up is, but don't come if you have other plans for the day. Food prep was relatively quick for our popular entrees -- Redneck Burrito & the monster size MoJo Burger. Food temps & quality were good. This venue is located on the busy public public square so parking can be chore during very busy times. This location is part of the growing empire of Andy Marshall -- with Puckett's brands expanding throughout Tennessee. Ambiance is rustic country with vintage signs and entertainment elements. A small stage is usually filled with small bands and songwriting teams on the weekends. BTW -- the menu is heavy on Southern faves with a twist including Fried Chicken and BBQ. Pleasant stop after visiting the James Polk home. Located in the historic square, which is unbelievable. Food was great- kid lives the chicken tenders and homemade ranch, which can be iffy for a picky kid. Husband built up a BLT sandwich with an egg. All the food was hot and fresh. This place is going down hill, the first time we ate here it was a solid 5 stars, it was so good we came back thanksgiving dinner and the following night with friends for 3 nights in a row. Lately it's been out of chicken, or out of a side dish. As someone who has owned a car audio shop for the last 20 years I love loud music and actually encourage it. It was so freaking loud and obnoxious sounding even in the farthest table from the stage we had to get up pay our bill and leave without finishing food. I tried to offer sound engineering help and was turned away. (Free of charge) read more

Puckett's is a favorite for all who live in Columbia or visit here! Success is due to excellent management by Jimmy and Josh and extreme excellent performance by bartender- Cairn/ who not only serves the bar area but also the high top tables! Upper Management should NOT cut her service to only the bar area- and force her to go elsewhere- or management will see her customers follow her!! Management should consider other changes to increase income- and not choose the option that is a basic reason for their success in Columbia!!....Ask anyone and you will quickly see she is excellent and a team player who helps All...Management should change the menu- hire more servers- increase the pay for the managers who not only show up every day- but keep it all together by being friendly and respectful to all!! Respectfully asking Upper Management to recognize other changes would be more successful than upcoming changes planned- unless you want to see a drastic reduction in public attendance!!! read more

Unfortunately, the service here has gone down considerably in the last few years. I keep waiting to write a review with the hope that it will get better. However, it seems to get worse. We went there for a late lunch and they were out of BBQ. Ummm, what? You are a BBQ restaurant... the waitress acted like she didn't want to be there. Food took forever to come out! Every time we go, it takes so long for the food to come out! Not sure what is happening in the kitchen. I'll try again in a few months and see if anything changes, so I can hopefully update my review. It's a fun atmosphere and could be a great restaurant again. I live Puckett's. We always take out of state visitors here for the vibe. It's a cool interior that looks like an old mercantile or train stop. There's always live music and in the Nashville area, that always means a talented artist or band. The staff are always friendly and the service is terrific. They do a great job delivering on southern hospitality. The food is decent but not the best you'll find around. To be honest, you don't go for the food as much as the atmosphere and the fun of being in Columbia square. A good night out made better with good company. read more

I used to go to the Columbia Pucketts once or twice a week. I want to state this is my and, my coworkers opinions, I realize other folks may have a different opinion. The music city hot chicken sandwich is very good as is their wings. The Brisket is not good at all and expensive!, The best way I could describe it is smoked and...boiled it literally looks boiled but has a little bit of a smoked flavor normally it is very dry. The one in Columbia has bad customer service excluding 1 or 2 employees, most of the employees appear like it is the last place they want to be and it comes out in their service. The way I see it if I am spending $15+ for lunch I assume the service will be stellar and the food too! I write in the Pucketts Corporate before this review and I never got a reply. 2/13/22, server Angelia ticket 30041. My wife & I ordered 2 Build your own omelets. The server was very kind but she did not write anything down as we placed our order. My omelet was ordered to have 4 ingredients, it was served made with only 3 ingredients. My wife ordered hers with spinach, mushrooms, onions and pepper Jack cheese. Her was served without the spinach. The server said that she would "get that right out" for her. Took about 10 minutes. We thought they were going to make a new omelet. But, she brought out only cooked spinach. We asked her for a fresh omelet because her omelet was now cold. Angela put in a new omelet order for us, but the new omelet was missing the pepper Jack cheese. Not sure if this problem was on the kitchen or Angela not writing down the ingredients? Stopped in for lunch while Christmas shopping in Columbia! We have been to pickets many times and have always had a great experience! It is usually pretty busy, so the waits are normally longer than expected. The wait today was 2 minutes, but we were able to find spots at the bar! It took a while for the bartender to make her way over to us because she was so busy. My husband and I split a Beer Flight and the Pulled Pork Nachos! The beer was fantastic! Our nachos took a good 30 minutes to come out, which was weird because that had never happened. Our bartender finally came out with them and said that another server had taken them to the wrong table. A bummer, but they were able to get new nachos out pretty fast for us! They were delicious! We had been visiting some waterfalls not far from Columbia, and on our way back to Nashville when we decided to find a place for dinner. We were very excited we stopped here. The service was great, very friendly. They were busy and it was a little bit of a wait but worth it. The band was so good and fun!!! My nephew ordered the bbq platter, they had sold out of the brisket but he loved the pulled pork. His girlfriend ordered a Mac and cheese skillet with pork and she was very impressed. The day we went there were only two servers working we had an eight top, two other parties of about an eight top, and another six tables at-least. Our server refilled our drinks without questions, my SIL came late and she got her lunch in after us and not to far behind us. So awesome! Smoked Meatloaf (4/4)- with southern green beans, and mash potatoes. The smoked meatloaf was topped with a mushroom gravy, had bell peppers and loaded with enough flavor to punch you into the next day. The southern green beans had a touch of smokiness, and the texture of a canned green bean but better quality. Mash potatoes were just creamy, yummy mashed potatoes. We loved the live music that came in as we were finishing up lunch, my daughter loved talking to the cellist and seeing her now and seeing how it makes it work. Their guitarist was insanely talented on the guitar, mandolin, and keyboard. It was a pleasure to hear them for the short time prior to leaving.
